This review is way overdue. I stopped coming and cancelled my membership because the receptionist was not only rude but forcefully kicked me out of the studio. I tried to add a class at CP Fremont. I've taken a few classes here but this wasn't my main studio. I went over to this location because it had one of the latest available classes at 2:30 pm on a weekend. I was on a waitlist, so I head over to the Fremont location. I was able to find parking right in front of the studio and came here about 30 mins early, mind you. I'm really serious about my workouts and take double classes majority of the time. I seen the instructor who was teaching and we greeted each other and she was excited I was joining. I told her about the issue that I'm waiting to see if I can be added. She told me it wouldn't be a prob and I would be able to get in. So, I checked in front, I think her name was Aracely or something like that. She was the only person at the front desk at the time had a really awful behavior at the time. I asked if the people in this class are regulars and if there would be a possible no show. She said yes, they all are regular so you should go. I thought it was so rude again to be talked to like that. I decided to wait and told her I'll wait to see if they're late and if you're late by the 6th min, your spot is given to the person who is physically waiting there. That's their system. So, as far as safety goes the person who is there can't really warm up and go straight into their workouts and if you are running late you don't also have time to warm up. It's a really bad system to get anyone injured. However, the incident in Fremont, I want to give feedback as to an unprofessional staff who kicked me out of the studio and didn't even treat me with any respect, seeing me patiently wait for 30 mins and did not follow company's policy to allow me to take a class when there was an opening. I waited the additional time after and was asked to leave at the 4 minute mark, right before 5 minutes. It was strange that an employee will ask you to leave as if you're not a paid member to sit, shop, or wait inside? I have never seen any other CP that has kicked a member out. The front desk staff told me that the girl was running late and she was coming. I still thought it was strange to rush a member out before closing and try to hold a space for a member when they were not inside the studio. I said fine I'll pack my things slowly thinking the girl might be parking her car. Still no one showed up as I was walking toward the door. I told her it was almost at the 5 min. mark and if she's not here in a minute that I would be able to be added since I am the first one waiting here. She pushed me out and that's when I told her it's passed the five minute mark as she locked the door behind me not giving me access to use the studio. I am very disappointed because I used to enjoy working out at the CP in Sunnyvale, San Jose, Santa Clara after work, or before work I'd be at San Jose. I have never fully recovered and haven't felt the same. She was the only employee working beside the teacher so she deliberately took my spot, as a paid member. I have the priority. She put her hands on me and I escalated the situation to corporate which I went in full details. I took a picture of her right after the incident. I literally canceled my membership because if you cannot even trained your employee basic customer service I don't want to be a part of this institution. She should have been suspended or terminated for physically touching a member or anyone of that nature. I'm so glad I will never be back here or any place that doesn't want my business because I know I spend A LOT of money and time on my health. Having paid almost $300/mo for only Pilates class is such an expensive investment and to be treated like an animal is beyond me. I do not recommend this studio because the lack of customer service and the way they treat their members is unacceptable. For reference, I added text messages from my friend who was a past member. Introduction session with Stone was amazing, especially if you are curious about whether or not to take pilates permanently in the future. Room feels much smaller than expected as their reformer machines are tightly lined up together. There's a restroom in back side of room. You can leave your belongings on shelf next to front desk which is always staffed and look around at their tiny gift shop area in front. Pilates classes are worth the experience. Classes on the calendar looks very detailed with lots of time slot options. Club Pilates is more of a corporate style business. Not cheap and they may upsell you. I didn't like the cancellation policy and class prices were high for me. It uses AI for text messaging for marketing promotions to follow up with customers. Just ask if you have a discount number in mind. Parking lot and spaces aren't the best being next to a credit union bank ATM, but they do have other better locations in the region. Undecided at this point. Club Pilates is popular for sure. read more

It's hard to book classes as it has limited seating. But the contract states that you had to finish 8 classes a month. I can not use my remaining classes if I don't finish in a month. My credit are gone. When I called the office, she said that the system automatically take my credit off. I had to pay again to get in. I paid $30 a class. I have wasted 4 classes that I can't attend in two month period. The business model is to make you to sign a contract but dose not provide the flexibility to serve customer. read more

This is another home studio of mine that I hit weekly (in addition to the Union City which remains my #1). Overall - the staff and studio are great. The studio itself is clean, just bit more snug and smaller. The location is also bit more complicated - parking can be limited with the panda and bank right beside and there def. tends to be more traffic in this area just overall. Regardless of location - the instructors here still remain one of the main reasons why I come. STEPHANIE is def one of my fave instructors. She changes up the classes so they're not so repetitive and makes sure everyone is comfortable by offering both the basic and or advanced version of the exercise. Usually mellow music and a chill vibe - so I like to take her class on MONDAY (mornings or afternoon) to start the week. Another instructor that is one of my faves here is ELENA - I usually take the Cardio Sculpt on FRIDAYS with her and have to mentally prepare (LOL). It's 100% an intense (hit style) class with constant jump board, TRX squat jumps, weights, etc. In the end, I always feel the most out of breath, sweaty, and cardio'd out from her class but OFC in the best way. She's great at challenging everyone and just keeping the energy up in class overall. read more

This is the closest Pilates studio near me and I go around 4 times a month through my One Pass subscription and it's a really great deal. The teachers are always really nice and help a bunch on personal form and advice during classes, especially if you're a beginner. I like that they take the effort to get to know your name and make conversation. The studio is super clean and it's easy to start the class pretty quick. I love the music selection and dark blue ambient light vibes inside! It's just a little hard to get into classes with the whole waitlist situation, especially when I get booked into one the night before when I reserved a waitlist spot weeks ago and have often missed classes on accident because the notification wasn't in advance enough. read more

I recently signed up for a trial class hoping to find a healthy outlet during a difficult time in my life. After submitting the intake form, I received nine separate text messages asking follow-up questions. Although the volume and nature of the questions felt somewhat invasive, I still took the time to answer them. After responding, I received an email confirming my class registration. Based on that confirmation, I purchased the required socks and scheduled my time so I could attend. A few days before the class, I received a phone call from the front desk. The caller did not ask if it was a convenient time to talk and proceeded to ask the same questions I had already answered via text. The call lasted several minutes and the tone of the interaction felt abrupt and increasingly judgmental. When my answers apparently did not meet what the caller expected, the call ended abruptly. Shortly afterward, I received both a text and an email informing me that my class had been cancelled. As someone who had already completed the intake process, received confirmation, and purchased required items to attend, this was both confusing and frustrating. The overall experience felt unnecessarily intrusive and unwelcoming. I had genuinely hoped this studio would be a supportive place to start something positive during a challenging period of my life. I never write negative reviews.. but customer service for this business and communication has been nothing but disappointing. As other reviewers have said, they make the memberships impossible to cancel (they never pick up the phone or answer emails). I had to drive in person to speak with somebody. Please sign up for class pass instead with better studios and cancellation fees/communication. Additionally, I have tried to use my credits for one class that has been cancelled within 24 hrs.. once is fine but twice in a row is ridiculous! I have never been to a studio where no sub is in place and been cancelled so frequently like this. Classes so far have not been worth my money..for the ones I have went to. Love the instructors there, they deserve 5 stars. But the management team need to up for a change. If I could I would give ZERO star. The top 1 issue is the unfair cancellation penalty!Even sign up with unlimited membership but the classes up for sign up are not available until like 2 or 3 weeks later. I got numerous class cancellations when I was on my way to studio, or about to head to studio or wait at the door of studio. I understood we all human and have family emergency, out sick etc. Even I am upset cause I set aside the time to class and got cancelled in last min is upsetting, but i understand. But when it comes to us, when I am sick, injury before class, I called the studio to tell them the issues . They promised will take care of it and waive my penalty. But next day $25 charge for no show! I called studio and was told have to let owner handle this and that is the end of it. I have very good record to attend classes on time and just when I am sick or injury the day of the class, can't they make any courtesy adjustment , instead studio just slap $25 penalties on your account. Yet they keep texting and calling to ask you to join their annual membership??!! I am looking for a new Pilates studio which has better policy and more humanize attitude for their clients Update 3/19 UPDATE: the general manager from the studio contacted me. Thank for that cause I feel they do care how we the customers feel about the studio policy, and some leniency for unforeseen emergencies we may have. I do agree the cancellation policy should be installed to protect the study and customers, but how to execute them should be case by case with different measurements for different situation. there are three club pilates locations ive been frequenting since February 2024: this fremont location, sunnyvale and mountain view this fremont location is my least favorite out of the three based on parking and size of the studio. getting in and out of the parking in front of the studio can be a bit awkward with the angle and stuff.. and i find the studio pretty tight when going down the aisle! i only go here on the weekends and i dont really have a favorite instructor here.. i just take whatever class based on my convenience of time read more

1. I took the 8 classes a month. I realized i was never able to find an available class untill i upgraded to unlimited. With difficulty I secured 6 classes. 2. later I shifted to the unlimited membership. For May, I wasn't aware that the membership renewed and one month went waste. I humbly requested many times for extra credits or a refund for May they declined. They did not even consider the free credit request. 3. I got to the gym 5minutes late and the front desk did not allow me inside and asked me to go back home. A week later they welcome a customer who comes more than 20minutes late!!! 3. Pay 289$/month after that they charge you extra if you cancel a class before 23hrs which is 15$ and 20$ for a no show. Sounds like these policies are to loot customers hard earned money! New Potential Member be aware: Prepare for weeks or months to get your cancellation processed. *I saw many reviews online that complaining Club Pilates membership cancelation. I ran into the same issue with Club Pilates Fremont. It took weeks to get my cancellation processed: (1) They don't offer an option to cancel the membership online. (2) You can't cancel over the phone. (3) Only a manager can process cancellations, so if the manager isn't in, you can't cancel in person--and the manager is often not there. (4) You can cancel via email, but they consistently delay or ignore responses, but they never actually process the cancellation. I honestly can't believe a franchise can still get away with this kind of behavior in this day and age. File complaints to Consumer Affairs and BBB. read more

I didn't think I had to come back for another review, but I want to give some warnings to the new members so you won't make the same mistakes I did. 1. If you want to cancel the membership, you will have to give them a 30-days notice. 2. You will have to contact them by phone or in person to cancel the membership. You can not cancel it with their app. 3. When you sign the cancellation form via e-mail, you will NEED to send them a reply immediately that you signed the form to really process the cancellation. 4. Lesson Learn: REALLY CHECK if your membership is canceled to prevent other charges. I had to contact corporate to get my refund back. They charge me even with a 30-days notice because I didn't reply to their email that I fill out the form. Sure, I take that. The GM e-mail said that since I was already charge, then I had the remainder of June to complete my last classes, which I did not use at all. Then I got charged again, so I tried to contact them, but no luck on the refund. I had to directly contact corporate for a refund, which happened immediately. I do not hate the class or the instructor, but the process of membership cancellation is frustrating. read more

I signed up last month for 8 classes. I went to book my sessions, there were only a few spots open and mostly weekends. I only have 1 month to book these 8 sessions, I joined 3 waitlist classes and of course I never got in. So I decided to cancel and now I have to give them a 30 days notice. So now I'm stuck with 8 sessions and very limited classes are available. Ladies if you work from 8-5, then you are screwed. All classes from 5:30 and onwards are booked for the next 3 weeks. I wish I could give a negative review. When I requested for cancellation, they responded after 20 days again asking for confirmation. I confirmed and requested a cancellation, and their was no response. After a week or so , I had to ask and remind them in person to cancel my membership and confirm, which they did but they told me that I will be charged another month from cancellation. They do such delayed techniques to rip off customers. the front end office is an absolute disgrace to deal with. I agreed that I will pay for the extra one month even though I did not see any value in it and got it cancelled.I would never recommend anyone to join this facility. Also, I was denied to my last class because I was a little over 5 minutes from the class time and the front end office gal told me that they have a strict 5 minute rule and they don't care if it is your last class. The instructors are informative and helpful and the workouts are great but tough to get into at certain after work times with all of the popularity. Buyers beware - read the fine print before you sign up. Classes are not transferable and if you cancel your membership you are still forced to pay an additional month. I moved out of the area and canceled in person 5/11 (15 days before my renewal) and even though I am unable to make the hour drive I am still stuck paying for classes in June. I attended their free intro session. I got zero out of this and felt very uncomfortable. The instructor was really nice to the few that could be their Pilates poster models (they truly were beautiful and graceful.) She didn't pay much attention to the rest of us that needed the assistance or at least learn how to modify a movement. I simply came in to ask to speak to someone at the front desk and was waiting there quietly and she came over interrupted her own class because I was fine waiting. And told me that she couldn't talk to me. First I never asked her too and then told me to leave. I left and she came behind and pushed the door harder. Before that I had good experience being there and going to class. I was simply coming in to ask a question because no one had answered my calls or responded to messages I left regarding putting a pause to my account. I admit that when I left I was surprised as to how non-intense the class was but when I woke up this morning I WAS SORE AS HECK! Turned out to be a great workout after all! Will try to come in as a drop-in rather than signing up for a membership. I went to an introductory class today to check this place out. I took "mat" Pilates classes for a couple of years in the past, but this was my first time using the reformer (Pilates machine). This class really helped me dip my feet in and helped me remember how much I truly do love Pilates! Currently, I am a nursing student and with a hectic schedule I haven't been able to find many Pilates classes in the area that suite my needs. However, this facility has class ALL day long Monday - Saturday and 1/2 days on Sunday. SCORE! Good club to come to if you're into pilates and looking for different ways to mix up your workout. There are a lot of different classes at different times to choose from and all classes incorporate the reformer into the workout. I came here for a free 30 minute demo class to test it out and the instructor was good and gave the class a good overview of what types of exercises you could expect in the real classes. This place isn't for me due mainly to location, but also because I can't justify the price coupled with the fact that I already have a monthly yoga membership I'm paying for. However, this could be a good fit for others that don't currently have a consistent workout routine built into their schedule. read more

Did their intro class with Linda- she was great! Staff is friendly. She was patient, answered every question and appeased every complaint my annoying classmate had. She wasn't touchy but rather demonstrated how we should do our poses correctly. By the end of the class I noticed that I was more aware of my posture. I wasn't ready to commit to the monthly classes but will definitely be taking classes as needed. If you're looking for a Pilates spot that's clean, equipment new, this is a spot you should check out. I use yelp a lot but I barely write reviews, so if I write a review, I really mean it. I heard great things about Club Pilates and today finally gotten a chance to give it a try. I booked the class last night for today's 7:30pm CP Reformer Flow (level 1.5). As soon as I walked into the studio, I felt good. It is a very clean studio (from the front desk to restroom, yep, I go to restrooms a lot and I always pay attention to the cleanness of restrooms). The staff Tracy was warm and welcoming, we were able to make jokes and have a fun conversation. The business owner Johnny was friendly and informative, he answered all my questions regarding Club Pilates. The instructor Lenise made the class energetic and alive with her professionalism and sense of humor. I highly recommend anyone coming to this studio. read more

I signed up when they first opened. I could only do the first month when my job hours changed and I could not make the classes. They agreed to freeze my account. 6 months later, because of my job and personal issues I asked to cancel permanently ,they did, no strings attached. I absolutely love everything about this studio and what it has to offer. From the friendly clean environment, amazing knowledgeable staff, and awesome classes. I feel a lot more connected with myself now that I'm attending classes every week. The best part is how intimate the classes are the overall culture of the studio. Pilates really compliments my daily life activities and makes me more aware of my body. Both Leanne and Linda are great instructors. This place offers a lot of class schedules at different levels.I have been coming here for months now and I would like to special mention Elaine Ishikawa one of the instructors. She makes sure everyone in the class is doing the right way and if one need modification for any reason she helps us with it. Thank you, Elaine ,for your genuine concern for the members especially when it comes to preventing or aggravating an injury that might be present. A person like you makes this place special.
