Being new to the area, I was looking for a specific kind of gym--smaller, non-chain, that offered martial arts but also a good variety of strength conditioning and cardio classes. With LB Fitness I found exactly that, and more! Cardio kickboxing, combat conditioning, and Muay Thai with Edson have definitely been transforming my body--I am stronger, leaner, have more endurance, and am overall more fit than ever before. But taking these classes and seeing the results has also had a tremendous impact on how I feel: more confident, grittier, and full of energy! I'm now addicted to learning more combinations, practicing my kicks and punches, and am motivated to continue getting faster and adding more power. Also, as Edson is big on technique, his combat classes are great to learn how to properly work with weights, lift, and develop more strength without getting hurt. Boot camp and Zumba Strong with Bailey are also a must! Mixing cardio with strength conditioning (to a great soundtrack!), these classes are all about tightening, leaning, and burning calories. Also, Bailey is an incredibly encouraging, supportive, and motivating instructor, so while she will push you to your limits, you likely won't even notice until the next day when you are beyond sore =) Finally, LB Fitness tends to attract people who are willing to work hard to get results, but who are also down-to-earth, friendly, and supportive of each others' journeys, which has been truly refreshing. I definitely appreciate the community aspect of this place and am excited to keep going there. You definitely need to check it out for yourself!

As soon as we walked into the gym we were treated like one of the family. Like old friends that hadn't seen each other in a while. Coach Eric and Coach Lauren are top notch trainers and very good at what they do, and not to mention two of the most amazing people you could ever meet. Not only have their classes made me lose fat and gain lean mass, but after the first two months of being there I was so much stronger and confident that I decided to do a kettlebell competition for the first time and was awarded 2nd place! Amazing results! My strength is ridiculous just after the eight months I have been training here. As for the gym (located on the second floor) it is clean, organized, and very impressive to say the least. Everything is top notch. Coach Eric doesn't skimp on equipment or on training. He's one of the best and so is his gym, and every once in awhile he brings his classes to the beach. Such a great time! I'm totally recommending LBKC to anyone who wants to change it up from the same old workout routine. You won't be sorry. It will be one of the best investments you'll ever make.

No excuses, just work. While visiting Los Angeles, Jay looked out in a major way by connecting me with Herc and making sure I had access to the gym. That kind of hospitality and respect is rare these days. Herc was solid, welcoming, and made the whole experience smooth. I was also blessed to connect and build with my brother Elijah Farrakhan while I was there, which made the visit even more meaningful. I give this establishment a 5 star, due to friendly staff and when you come at a good time, you might get lucky and have the whole gym to yourself. $79/month. Hours might seem a little strange to new people/clients coming to check out this business. For members 5 am - 10 pm. About 4-5 squat racks/deadlifts. Cons: wish they had preloaded barbells, pec deck machine, back extension machine, possible shower if people need one. Overall, you can get in a great workout. Not as crowded because you're paying a little bit more, if that's what you're looking for.

I'm always greeted by smiling faces that make me feel welcome. The gym has a variety of equipment and weights so workouts stay fresh and motivating. The music is fun and keeps me going. I train with OJ (the owner) but I've done a few sessions with other trainers and they have all been great. The trainers listen and meet you where you're at and give you that extra push when needed. I've seen results and feel stronger than when I started. I see all fitness levels at the gym so they will meet you where you're at.

I walked in there and met Krystina (I think that's how you spell her name.) She was really friendly and motivating, and we made an appointment for a consultation for the next day (yesterday.) I already knew that if I felt rushed or pushed or if it felt sales-y, then I wasn't going to do it. But she was so nice there was like not only zero pressure it was like minus hundred pressure lol. She seemed like she was mainly interested in getting to know me and find out what my needs were. Struggled through the work that we did together, but she was super motivating and spotted me when I needed it. I will be starting with her next month and I can't wait. I know that this is going to be a transformational journey and I don't mean physically.
