    Some of the lanes

I have been in my Powerchair since 2006. I haven't bowled since at least then. I didn't come to win, but to have fun and do my best. These lanes are very nice and so are the people. They have always been very nice and accommodating with our church when we schedule groups to bowl. They have group rates. It was $6.00 per person for two games and that included shoes. I was allowed to remain in my chair and go up to the line to bowl. Years ago I could get 180-200. Today I had a whopping 60! I had so much fun that I am anxious to do it again. This place is fun, reasonable, and even the restroom was clean. The people working here are friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for something to do that's family friendly or just a group of adults, check this place out. It's great exercise too.

New ownership and GM are really approachable and care. Great place to take the kids/family for some good pizza and bowling!

If you're looking for a place where you can easily lose track of time (in the best way possible),…read morePins Mechanical is it. This isn't just a bar with a few games tucked in the corner--it's an entire experience. Everywhere you turn there's something to do. Whether you're feeling competitive or just want to laugh with friends, you'll find duckpin bowling, bocce ball, pinball machines for days, patio pong (think giant beer pong), ping pong, foosball, billiards, and one of my personal favorites... Hookie, a surprisingly addicting ring toss game that had us saying, "One more round..." more times than I'd like to admit. One thing I really appreciate is that the atmosphere works for just about everyone. You can come for date night, celebrate with a group, bring coworkers, or just grab a drink and wander around trying games you've never played before. It somehow feels energetic without being overwhelming. The upstairs patio is a hidden gem. There's plenty of seating, colorful décor, and a fire pit that makes it a great place to take a break before heading back inside. (I still miss the adult swings they used to have--they were ridiculously fun... although I can also understand why swinging and cocktails may not have been the safest long-term business decision. ) There are several bars throughout the building, so grabbing a drink is easy, and yes... they serve Jell-O shots if that's your thing. They don't serve food, but that's honestly not an issue because you're welcome to bring your own in. We grabbed food from The Garage next door, and it paired perfectly with an afternoon of games. A few tips: * Don't skip the upstairs. * Try Hookie at least once. * Wander around before settling on one activity--you'll probably discover something you didn't know was there. * Plan on staying longer than you expected. This is one of those rare places where the atmosphere is just as entertaining as the games themselves. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, it's hard to walk out without saying, "We should come back."

The pins are on strings and the balls are hand sized. We had two lanes and a dedicated server to come take food and drink orders. She was speedy and very attentive. I had the mocktails and they were tasty but just a bit too sweet. The bartender was able to pour over ice and top with soda water which helped. Along with bowling they have pinball, jenga, cornhole, and other yard games. It really started picking up and getting busy around 7:30-8pm.

But let me share our HORRIBLE experience and discuss Angie's absolutely disrespectful customer service. She approached the lanes that my mom reserved and PAID for and stated there were people bowling without shoes. Understood, my mom had already began addressing this issue, and was sending people to get their shoes. Then Angie says "AND YOURE SMOKING WEED" ... let's pause for a moment. I am not smoking anything first off all. We are in a public establishment as a group full of black peoples, let's be real. Who is stupid enough to smoke weed INSIDE THE PLACE. Secondly, IF someone was smoking weed, the WHOLE place would've been a huge cloud. So, let's not falsely accuse a group of people like this. Okay, cool. She walks away. In a matter of minutes, she is back and yelling in my moms face as we are trying to celebrate my deceased brother's birthday. If you know me, I'm cool, calm, and collected and stay out of it, but the moment she raised her voice at my mother, I intervened because what we won't tolerate is this level of disrespect when we have paid and are not causing any issues. Now, someone may have had a vape and idk their rules against that, but that is absolutely NOT the same as smoking weed as she accused. But we won't talk about the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke as you enter the building. At this point several people within our group are livid because Angie is raising her voice and speaking to people as if they are not adults, accusing people of smoking, and just outright disrespectful. Of course she tried kicking us out. Okay, kick us out but give us the money back because we paid a lot of money between the reservation, shoes, and everyone ordered food and drinks. So, we'll leave but we want to be refunded. After I had a word with her and expressed that she needed to reevaluate her customer service skills because it's not what you say, it's how you say it, and she was flat out disrespectful, she said "you know what, just bowl". But that's not even the end. As we are wrapping up, saying goodbyes, Angie calls the police which I suspected because she was hiding on the phone as I was returning shoes. There are literally police officers outside in the parking lot as we are leaving. At this point we felt targeted. Not to pull the race card, but a group of black people having a good time, celebrating a loved one with some friendly competition is too much to ask for, I guess. Y'all can tell me what that sounds like. NO ONE WAS FIGHTING. EVERYONE PAID FOR WHAT THEY RECEIVED. NO ONE WAS CAUSING A SCENE EXCEPT FOR ANGIE AND HER DISRESPECT. This was absolutely HORRIBLE customer service from Championship lanes, specifically Angie, and personally I would not recommend this place. If she's the manager, owner, or whatever, she needs to take a customer service training and reevaluate her ability to run a facility because that's not it AT ALL. I'm not even the one to cause a scene about something but they need to PROPERLY address her poor skills and treatment towards us. OH, they have untagged themselves or blocked me from my Facebook review!

Recently visited Fowling Warehouse for a work team building event. I had no idea what to expect…read more Parking was a bit of a mystery. There was a sign in front of the business pointing you to turn down a steer for parking; next block there is a huge parking lot but no signs saying you can park there for fowling, BUT, it was abundantly marked that cars will be towed. Since there was nothing else around, I assumed it was the right place and parked. Of course I briskly walked to fowling to inquire if I was in the correct space. I was, whew. Those towers can really work fast. Fowling is in a warehouse with other businesses, hence the name. It is huge. We were on lane 32, I believe so there's at least 32 lanes. There is also a corn hole area. There is a bar where they have a decent variety of adult beverages. I went with 3 Floyd's warpig, a hazy ipa. It was really good. The important aspect of fowling is not eating or drinking there, but to interact with the people your with. Sure you can win a game, but the fun is the game itself and the camaraderie with a drink. Our leader looked up the rules prior and explained them. You take turns throwing a football at bowling pins, one set of pins on each end of the lane. There are two lines to throw from, our group guys threw from back and women from front. I watched a group next to us, both men and women threw from front line, it didn't appear to give anyone an advantage. I don't know if the pizza place is part of fowling or a separate business, but we got pizza from Bonk Pizza. It was ok, it was enough to say we were fed. I'm glad I did this and would go again.

Fowling (noun) fowl-ing: The hunting or trapping of wildfowl…read more Google "fowling definition" and this is what you'll find. Google simply "fowling" and you learn about this odd sport where you combine football and bowling. Just now. Right NOW as I'm writing this, the word fowling finally made (sort of) sense. Football + bowling = fowling. Now I'm even pronouncing the word different with a long "o" sound versus the "ou" diphthong. I had to Google that, too, but once I saw diphthong, I knew it was going in my review. You're welcome for the 5th grade grammar lesson. Please redeem your Pizza Hut personal pan pizza for your hard work. Ok, fowling. It has nothing to do with trapping birds or teaching birds of prey to land on your arm (that's falconry). Nope, it's a game you play with friends and beer. The setup is more like cornhole, but you use bowling pins and throw, that's right, a football. Someone was clearly drunk when this game was invented. But what a great way to bring a group of people together! The Fowling Warehouse specializes in the game of fowling, but has several other activities to enjoy as a group: pool, darts, a few arcade games and a golf simulator. I may go back just for the golf simulator. This is the real deal, a full Trackman set up. It was pretty sweet. Those simulators can be a little intimidating at the PGA Superstore, but it's tucked away in the corner at the Fowling Warehouse where you can shank balls and not feel like a fool. Mostly. There are also two bars and you can order pizza and boneless wings. The bar has a nice selection of beers on tap. They use the magnet cup system where the cup fills from the bottom. My favorite thing was seeing multiple signs on the bar that warn you that if you push the bottom of the cup, you will get wet! And I smiled devilishly thinking about curious people testing their luck with the cups and losing every time. For me, I enjoyed a couple glasses of this blood orange IPA. Delicious and refreshing. The Fowling Warehouse isn't exactly my jam, but I think it's the kind of place that is perfect for a certain crowd who enjoys games and likes a new challenge. And they can handle a large party! If you are looking to try a new sport that feels like it was invented by someone who lost a bet, this place is for you! I kid, but the Warehouse is nice and clean and large! The service was good and everyone seemed to have a great time. Seems like a pretty good spot for your next party if games are your thing! Please note: No birds were injured during the writing of this review.
