Recently visited Fowling Warehouse for a work team building event. I had no idea what to expect. Parking was a bit of a mystery. There was a sign in front of the business pointing you to turn down a steer for parking; next block there is a huge parking lot but no signs saying you can park there for fowling, BUT, it was abundantly marked that cars will be towed. Since there was nothing else around, I assumed it was the right place and parked. Of course I briskly walked to fowling to inquire if I was in the correct space. I was, whew. Those towers can really work fast. Fowling is in a warehouse with other businesses, hence the name. It is huge. We were on lane 32, I believe so there's at least 32 lanes. There is also a corn hole area. There is a bar where they have a decent variety of adult beverages. I went with 3 Floyd's warpig, a hazy ipa. It was really good. The important aspect of fowling is not eating or drinking there, but to interact with the people your with. Sure you can win a game, but the fun is the game itself and the camaraderie with a drink. Our leader looked up the rules prior and explained them. You take turns throwing a football at bowling pins, one set of pins on each end of the lane. There are two lines to throw from, our group guys threw from back and women from front. I watched a group next to us, both men and women threw from front line, it didn't appear to give anyone an advantage. I don't know if the pizza place is part of fowling or a separate business, but we got pizza from Bonk Pizza. It was ok, it was enough to say we were fed. Google simply "fowling" and you learn about this odd sport where you combine football and bowling. Just now. Right NOW as I'm writing this, the word fowling finally made (sort of) sense. Football + bowling = fowling. Now I'm even pronouncing the word different with a long "o" sound versus the "ou" diphthong. I had to Google that, too, but once I saw diphthong, I knew it was going in my review. You're welcome for the 5th grade grammar lesson. Please redeem your Pizza Hut personal pan pizza for your hard work. Ok, fowling. It has nothing to do with trapping birds or teaching birds of prey to land on your arm (that's falconry). Nope, it's a game you play with friends and beer. The setup is more like cornhole, but you use bowling pins and throw, that's right, a football. Someone was clearly drunk when this game was invented. But what a great way to bring a group of people together! The Fowling Warehouse specializes in the game of fowling, but has several other activities to enjoy as a group: pool, darts, a few arcade games and a golf simulator. I may go back just for the golf simulator. This is the real deal, a full Trackman set up. It was pretty sweet. Those simulators can be a little intimidating at the PGA Superstore, but it's tucked away in the corner at the Fowling Warehouse where you can shank balls and not feel like a fool. Mostly. There are also two bars and you can order pizza and boneless wings. The bar has a nice selection of beers on tap. They use the magnet cup system where the cup fills from the bottom. My favorite thing was seeing multiple signs on the bar that warn you that if you push the bottom of the cup, you will get wet! And I smiled devilishly thinking about curious people testing their luck with the cups and losing every time. For me, I enjoyed a couple glasses of this blood orange IPA. Delicious and refreshing. The Fowling Warehouse isn't exactly my jam, but I think it's the kind of place that is perfect for a certain crowd who enjoys games and likes a new challenge. And they can handle a large party! If you are looking to try a new sport that feels like it was invented by someone who lost a bet, this place is for you! I kid, but the Warehouse is nice and clean and large! The service was good and everyone seemed to have a great time. Seems like a pretty good spot for your next party if games are your thing! This place has always been a mystery to me...I feel like you hear people talk about the fowling warehouse but I was always mystified as to what they were actually doing in there. Crossed it off my 2026 Bingo card right away! A great indoor winter activity, too! While I am not great at throwing a football, and was initially scared by all the flying pins/balls/etc, it is a fun activity for a group (as long as everyone has a good attitude)! I can see people getting crabby if this is not their thing. We really dug the $4 mystery beer option (you get what you get). They also had two bars with lots of options. We were here for a birthday party, so we had reserved lanes/tables, but it seems like there is plenty of room to go around for drop-in people. I'm not sure what the standby process is, but there were a ton of "lanes"! Just a note, if you are hard of hearing, it is quite hard to hear anyone talking to you if the place is busy. read more

If you're looking for a different, extremely fun outing with friends/family then this is the place to go! Come out, warm up your arm, grab a drink (if you're into that kind of thing) and prepare to get your "Peyton Manning" on! It's super easy to reserve lanes for large parties or special occasions. We've had birthdays, work outings, bachelor parties, all sorts of things there & have never had a bad time. The people who work there are so easy going and helpful they make so relaxing. Although they don't have food there, it's literally right around the corner from The Garage and a lot of other restaurants on Mass Ave! This place is HUGE! Nothing compared to what I saw online. Made a reservation and up to 10 people can play per lane but it goes fast. You're allowed to bring in snacks/food just no drinks. We just went to play and drink. Checking in was easy and we found our lane quickly. You have a whole table to sit at if you're not playing. There was no one inside the playing area, there are at least 10 lanes, so we had it to ourselves for about an hour. Hardest game ever! I'm already bad at bowling, now you add a football and I'm lucky to have gotten 1 pin down. Either way it was a lot of fun. The ladies were getting it, but the guys definitely knocked them down easier. The football bounced a lot. The hardest part was not hitting the people in the other lane with my bad aim Street parking, easy to find and or there's a whole parking lot. A Saturday night well spent! We went for a birthday party and had two reserved lanes. The game itself is easy to get a hang of and turns into a pretty competitive venture. You need to be VERY aware of your surroundings inside the cages. Flying, bouncing, homing missiles of footballs will find your face and beer eventually. Speaking of beer, it's a little pricey in my opinion. I wouldn't buy a real beer here, but I WOULD buy the mystery beer from the vending machine again. It's a $4 tallboy and that's where I'll leave it. I got two different ones and enjoyed the game. Everyone working was nice and the bar service was fast. Many people bought the pizza, a seperate service, and seemed to enjoy it. You can't bring your own water bottle but they have free ice water stations. The tables are big and invite a crowd. There is a open game section where you can jump in and out of lanes. Most people seem to reserve lanes. They feel a little close but I don't think anyone really cared and it didn't really impact any games. I love seeing this warehouse space being used. read more

I hosted my 16 year old daughter's birthday party here yesterday and we had a great time! There was a mixture of teens and adults in our party and it was enjoyable for everyone. This was my family's second time here, but for those of us who hadn't been before, it was a new and exciting experience. Something different, for sure! The staff members were all very kind, helpful and jovial. You could tell that they enjoy their jobs. They allowed us to use a long table to set out the food that we supplied and even offered us plates and napkins after the pizza arrived. I had brought our own though. They do not allow you to bring in any outside beverages, but because they don't serve food, you can bring in whatever you'd like to eat. Some of the groups around us had fruit and veggie trays, chips, cookies, etc., but we opted to order Domino's pizza and have it delivered. We also brought in our own cupcakes. LOTS OF FUN! We had never been Fowling befoe. We did open lanes at 6:00pm on a Saturday and they were pretty open, I think that we waited about 10 minutes: which was perfect for grabbing a beer. The facility is pretty low key, there is a bar and some resturants around the property but you can go to The Garage before hand if you want more options. There is no Food (that we could find) in the facility. They have a LARGE varity of beers and some other drinks available for those who do not drink beer. Our group drank beers so we didn't go into details on other drinks. There are a few local taps on draft. Fowling in general is fun. If you are looking for regular bowling or duck pin, this is not the place. Throwing a Football is fun and you make a fool of yourself sometimes but it is so much fun. This is a 10/10 read more

This was a lot more fun than expected. I went for a birthday party with a lane reservation. The reservation comes with 10 wristbands and 2 hours of play time. I have no throwing ability and am recovering from a shoulder injury but the rules are lax in fowling. If your friends aren't super competitive (mine weren't) It's easy to move yourself up closer to your pins to avoid total demoralization. The pins are heavy and it does get loud. For the first game, we were frequently in our neighbor's space, due to poor throws and odd bounce patterns. Rogue footballs aren't uncommon and most seemed really understanding. The set up is like cornhole. Teams face each other and throw towards pins at opposite ends of their lane. Perfect for some friendly taunting. The site advertised food but there wasn't any outside the $10 hot pocket and cup o'soup. Outside food is allowed in and several groups had catered set ups outside the playing cage. There are 2 bars set up at both ends. Kids are not allowed at all times-I think weekends past 5 PM are 21+ only. While we found fowling fun (despite our limited athleticism), this would probably be less interesting to kids under 13-ish. Like I said, those pins are heavy. Fowling was a great group activity and I saw a lot of double dates. There's a big, free parking lot and the cost to play ($12 unlimited time) makes this one of the best deals in the city. I do recommend a lane reservation for your big group on the weekend. It was busy. read more

Our family had a great time "fowling" for my daughter's birthday. We had a party of 5 and were able to make reservations online, which is nice and convenient. Upon arrival, we were greeted and immediately checked in. We were assigned a lane and spent the next two hours competing and laughing and throwing the football in different and fun ways. I highly recommend this place for your next adventure. The only thing I would be aware of is that the footballs are pretty big and might be harder for smaller kiddos. You will need to adjust heavily if you choose to bring them. There's also not much food. They do allow you to bring food in or have it delivered but be mindful of that. I have been to Fowling Warehouse a handful of times and finally participated in a game. It was more fun than I expected, especially for a group event. You can have a little friendly competition or simply cheer each other on during the game. I don't know how it would work if you are playing pickup games with strangers, but it definitely worked out pretty well when playing in a group setting. I didn't think I can throw a football very well, but did alright and hit a few pins. A single game can last a little while, especially when you are trying to knock down the last few pins. There aren't any strict rules other than knock down the pins first and you win. If you are not used to throwing anything, your arms and shoulders might be a little sore the next day. Besides the game itself, Fowling Warehouse has a nice bar with a very good beer selection. There are other types of adult beverages as well. The place is quite big and I estimate there are 30+ lanes where you can play fowling. Fowling Warehouse is a good alternative for doing something different and fun. Even if you are not very good at it, you can hang and drink and still be a part of the action. read more

This place is huge. Plenty of room to spread out. It is an old warehouse converted to a fowling center. This is a neat concept, football meets bowling. It is an alternative to the usual family activities. I must admit that fowling is not for everyone. You must be able to throw a football about 20 to 30 yards with somewhat accuracy. My little ones were only able of play when I modified the rules and moved them up to about 5 yards. The staff here is awesome. They are all so very friendly, helpful and accommodating. There is free parking in the lot across the street and there is limited street parking available in front of the place. The place has 2 full bars and 4 caged areas containing 5 to 10 fowling courts. That us a lot of footballs flying. They also have TVs over the bars, as well as a seating area in the warehouse. that were playing everything from sport to cartoons. This place requires masks and takes that precaution very seriously. They will ask you to leave if you do not want to comply. They do not serve food but are promoting Cluster Truck, a food delivery vendor. This place is family friendly (on weekends), but keep in mind that they may not all be able to fully participate in fowling like my 5 year old. But Hey there are some grown people that I know that can throw a ball They are 21 and up only, Monday thru Friday. From noon to 6PM All ages welcome however, they must be at least 10 yrs old to play. It is 21+ after 6p on weekends. A valid ID is required to enter the place. And by valid, they mean no cuts/tears and not expired. Also, you can reserve a lane, however a 50% deposit is required and the balance is due when you come in. I really liked this place. It is very unique and has a top notch staff. This place is awesome, so much fun, and a great way to spend time with family and friends. First when you walk in, you must present your ID and pay for your wristband. Right now it is $10 for unlimited lay as they get settled into their business model, but eventually that will go up. This is a GREAT deal. Next we went to the bar. There is a full bar, and full fridges with a great variety of beers, but my favorite is the ~mystery vending machine~. You choose how much you want to pay, $2-$5, and then you get what you get. We have done this both times we have been in- it's so fun! Next you can get to fowling! The setups are a bit close together, but that is not a problem when there is hardly anyone there. I believe it would be okay even if it were full, and would possibly make it even funnel- if the people next to you accidentally knock your pins down with their football, you get to keep them down. Could make for some good competition! We played probably 6 or 7 rounds with our $10 unlimited play. As someone who has never thrown a football before, I was nervous, but had way more fun than I thought it would. The warehouse is huge, everyone is wearing masks, and it was not busy on a Saturday afternoon when we went. It is a perfect covid activity to do with friends. You could even go and just order drinks and watch the game on their big projectors! You are not required to pay for fowling (ive been just to get a beer from the vending machine and then head out). Decided to try this place for a work team building event. It was perfect. They opened the place us prior to it opening up to the public which was great because we were the only ones there. Since they don't serve food they also allowed us to bring food in so that was perfect. They also have a full bar stocked with everything your heart would desire including a variety of beers. The Fowling itself is pretty tough, it took us probably over an hour to complete one game as we were trying to find our rhythm but once we did, we played another 2 games which just lasted less than 30 minutes. If you are looking for something fun to do that doesn't cost a lot of money I definitely recommend coming. They have family friendly hours and then also adult hours. Would be pretty fun to do as a family or even a boys/girls night out for laughs. We will certainly be returning soon! read more

This is a cool concept; you don't need to have any athletic ability, only the ability to throw a ball. I have been here a few different times now and I have enjoyed playing and socializing with friends here. I believe it's $15/ person and it's a huge complex, so there are many different lanes to play in. All three times that I have gone, there have been open lanes. They have two bars on either end of the complex and sell concession-stand-style food (think pretzels, chips, etc.). ***NA / Sober Friendly*** They offer a bigger selection of NA Beers than any other place that I have been to! KUDOS! You can also book out lanes for groups/ parties/ etc. I am not sure about their outside food/ drink policy, but I have seen people who cater for their parties. Check this place out! read more

What a great concept incubated here in Indy at the world famous IMS. After a quick explanation about the game Butch wished us luck and told us to have fun. And we did. A mix of bowling and football is the game. It looks a lot easier Than it really is that's the challenge. You throw a football to knock down the pins. Being able to stop the ball after it passes the throwing line to keep it from ricocheting and knocking down other pins which is legal. The beer selection is massive with a nice selection on tap as well. It can be a little chilly since it is such a big space so dress appropriately. 10$ buys you unlimited time on your lane with plenty of chances to come back for that first win. Looking forward to going back since it is such a big space proper distancing is easy to achieve. Check the website for age restrictions. Little ones allowed during certain times. Such a fun activity! We went with a group of 8 on a Saturday afternoon. It was not very crowded at all. We paid per person and they had their summer rates of $7 per person for unlimited play going on. We had four or five lanes to ourselves when we started. It did get a bit more crowded as the afternoon went on. It was fun to just hangout and be together along with some competition. There is not really any food at the bar (just some chips) and drinks. You can order food in from other places though. They had tvs and large screens showing Saturday football which was a perk! Would recommend this for a family or group outing! read more

Came here after our normal duckpin bowling plans fell thru due to popularity and crowds. I had a really fun time here, mostly cause it wasn't packed and super crowded. I think if it were any more crowded than what it was, it would have been a headache. Luckily, the footballs are mostly light, but still, it's a challenge. I was feeling it the next day for sure. I think this is an extremely specific thing that isn't for everyone, especially smaller kids since it's such a struggle to throw far distances. As such, I'd recommend that the place adds in a few different types of games, I.e. racket ball, ping pong, and games of that sort, to diversify the options for those that aren't into fowling. It was $14 per person per hour. We were able to get 2-3 games in that time and that was enough for me. Had a fun time, but probably not one of those places I'd frequent on a regular basis. read more

This place is very spacious, informal and fun, but watch out for flying footballs!!! It's a cross between corn hole, football and bowling. It is easy to throw the football, but hitting the bowling pins could create a challenge. They did explain the rules before we started. While I have a competitive nature, I did break a couple of nails trying to catch footballs, but thank goodness for the full service bar. You can use that as an excuse if you don't win. I have to mention that the bartender is extremely friendly as well. The goal is to win by throwing the football to knock over bowling pins, but I had more fun with just the interaction with my team and opponents (while not hitting very many pins). Make sure you go all the way down the one way. It's located at the far end of the warehouse building. Inside, the building is HUGE! The lanes are very spaced out and there are two bars! No food unfortunately (they would make a lot of money if they were to serve food), but you can bring in outside food! I brought balloons and cake! The staff.. wow they are great as well! This is a super fun way to spend an afternoon! They have $12 open-play, which is what my husband and I did on a Saturday around 4pm. They have seating just outside the playing area and we rotated in and out. The staff was very helpful with explaining the rules and how it worked as it was our first fowling experience. We played several games against various pairs. My arm ended up sore the next day with how much football throwing we did. They have a pretty extensive beer selection and had a few deals with buckets of beer. The place is huge with TVs viewable from the entire venue.
