$15/ first hour & $20/ second hour? AWESOME!!! 2 hrs is the way to go! 2 people is $40 and can get food and drinks if wanted. Adding more people slows the game down, so obviously less number of people per lane equals more games. Often it's just me and my wife and we can get a minimum of three games and a few frames done within two hours... And if we go really fast we can get four games. My large group decided to go bowling on a Saturday evening and Imperial Lanes was a good choice (minus the shoe situation). I didn't like the fact that they make you give them one of your shoes as collateral for the bowling shoes. I've never experienced that! When we picked our shoes up, they had thrown them all into a bin...so your shoe will be smashed and dirtied by other shoes. This place is huge and has its own bar and food area. The pricing was reasonable IF you bowl for 2 hours. The 1 hour rate was not much different from 2 hours. The cosmic or late night bowling was fun but they should step their music game up a bit. Many of the songs were boring. I'd like to return, but would probably bring a bag to put my shoe in before giving it to them. read more

I'm going to be honest, I never liked bowling. I'm usually extremely terrible at it. My husband absolutely loves bowling and he used to do it a lot as a teen. We always come out for his birthday. Somehow I did an okay job at it today. I really love that they let you put the rails up for your turn. Without them, I would have a score of 15 from all the gutter balls. Mondays are great during the day. Its 4pm, quiet, and there are a few people having a great time bowling. The prices are pretty fair. $12 for a pitcher of Blue Moon isnt too bad. read more

Bowling shoes are dirty and disgusting, brought my own and was told I couldn't use them. The first time I came here I wore their shoes & got a fungal infection (which is what prompted me to buy my own). I went to the car to get bags for my feet since I had no other choice than to wear their shoes for the remainder of the night, and immediately overheard multiple employees (register girl, security, food counter girl) talking badly about me and the situation. I was literally 10 feet in front of them. Meanwhile a few lanes down a bunch of teenagers were wearing REGULAR SNEAKERS. Terrible customer service and rude employees. read more

I understand that bowling alley operators along with other entertainment venues took a hit during COVID. But this place is trying to get it back all at once. During a weekday morning they are charging $3.50 a game for seniors and $4 for everyone else! You want to rent the lane for an hour? $12 PER PERSON! You want a medium pizza? $23 You want a 12 ounce bottle of Bud Light? $4.50! Go somewhere like Ark Sterling. They charge seniors $1.50 a game during the day. read more

I went during a time of COVID. It definitely was different. Upon arrival, there was a woman taking names and at 8 PM, there was a half hour wait since every other lane was closed. Luckily I live down the street so I just went home and waited for the text to inform me my lane was open. When I came back, it was $20/person and that included two hours of bowling + shoes. The bar and food area were both closed and masks were required. It was uncomfortably hot bowling in a mask. The A/C definitely should have been blasting but wasn't. A lot of people were not properly wearing their masks (most people had it under their nose). When I left around 10:30/10:45, it was jam-packed and several people were waiting in the lobby or to return shoes. I would have went earlier but Imperial opens at 5 PM on Saturdays (I'm not sure about the weekdays). read more

front desk girl is extremely rude... gossips about customers and constantly has an attitude. shoes are dirty and disgusting, as well as the bin they literally throw your shoe in. high schoolers working the kitchen, which makes sense as to why the food has gone downhill. and not to mention how the lanes will eat your ball and it wont return until you have to ask the front desk for help, at which point you will be greeted by her rude attitude once again. Not returning here until you get some new staff that actually like their job. read more

Stay away from this bowling alley with your own ball. They often get stuck in the return line and will be damaged after a few throws. They did re-polish them after about a week but I saw other people resurfaced balls in a pile which indicates this a common problem here, otherwise the atmosphere is ok and the staff is friendly. read more

Wanted $20 each for children to bowl for only an hour, and another $20 for me just to get in. I cannot bowl because of back problems so spending $60 for the experience was not worth it for us. This was after waiting half an hour in the 'security' line that barely moved because the workers were too busy conversing. Will go elsewhere next time. Might be nice for leagues but for a small family outing not worth the time or money, which is a shame since I have so nany fond memories from years ago when it was affordable and they did fun things like cosmic bowling more often. read more

Literally walked in at 9:30 all well over 21 years old. Had 2 unopened teas that they refused to let us put back in the car before I paid a thing. The bouncer told us that we had to " throw them away or get the hell out".The bouncer (who has a bouncer at a bowling alley) was actively aggressive before we even go into the place. Demanding things and just being an asshole. Sorry $60 for 3 people to bowl for 1 hour is ridiculous for bowling. Nah, we walked out. There are too many bowling alleys around here for me to pay you an arm and a leg to treat me like crap. $60 to throw a ball at some pins. Like I'm not going to buy pitchers and food there too. And absolute highway robbery. read more

Imperial Lanes has been the go to spot for bowling for me since I was a boy. Sometimes the place you go to has more to do about convenience, rather than because the place is spectacular. As I sat down to write this, my mind keeps going back to the Imperial Lanes of old, and I'm finding it a bit hard not to write from a nostalgic point of view. If I'm being honest, I have to leave the past where it is...behind me. I'll start by saying that the best things about this place is the addition of Sam's Sorrento Pizza inside of its building. While it's been there for a while, I'm old enough to remember a time where it was not there, and the owners are lucky to have a quality food place inside of its edifice. Look for my upcoming review of Sorrento's, but for now, back to the lanes. I have to say that comparatively, it's a great place. The quality of guests are better than other places, which makes a big difference to me. I don't want to be doing ANYTHING next to smelly, drunk, or flat-out degenerate people, and here there are far less than at other alleys. That doesn't mean that there isn't some trashy people, because there are, but it's no where near the level other bowling establishments seem to draw in. The lanes are maintained fairly well, and upon my recent visit, the place looked clean as a whole. The bathrooms were disgusting, and that's a huge turn off, but nearly everywhere else was cleaned nicely. The ball selection wasn't as great as it once was, so I'd recommend getting your own ball. It's an investment, but if you play more than 4 times a year, it's worth it. It's something you can keep forever, so just do it. Same with the shoes. Admittedly, I'm always grossed out by used items, but the shoes looked very beat up. Do yourself a favor and get some bowling shoes along with that new ball. I'm struggling to give this place 4 stars, because I hold establishments to a higher standard as of late; however, because I know most other alleys are in worse disrepair, and nostalgia has gotten the better of me, I'll give it the four instead of three. read more

This places is always a historical site, it's been here forever it seems. Sadly so has most of the interior accompaniments. The whole place could use a good scrubbing and cleaning. First of all it's 20$ a person even if you have your own shoes and bowling ball which I think is a ripoff. I got shoes and a ball to save a couple bucks at bowling. But "oh we don't do that anymore" like wtf kind of washed up place is this now. Also the pizza was trash. Paid 22 dollars for a pizza and a bag of chips and cheese. Worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Back in the day the pizza used to be good. Nowadays they're serving raw ass pizza for $20 a pie. Very disappointed to have to write this will be my beginning statement, I've been coming here for some time and was a happy with the quality of the alley. Last Saturday night 4/2/22 I had taken me, my sons, and there kids(ages 12-14) bowling around 10:30pm because I haven't seen them in awhile. Unfortunately while using the restroom I came across with what looked like cocaine residue. What came to my attention shortly after that it belonged to one of there new upgraded security guards after he had rushed in while I was using the restroom to grab his bag of (powder). After he noticed I had saw he cracked a wink at me and went on his way. This was truly scary event after I had brought my grand children to a place I've been coming to for years. Having untrusted druggies/ dope-fiend as your security shows a lot about a place and this is not okay! And if this review goes under the table and no actions are made with current security, witch wouldn't be shocking based on the quality of ownership has decreased over the last year. I hope this review can at least reach the audience of Yelp to protect you and your family from this place. read more

I came here the other day for a preschool "bowling with Santa party". No, Santa did not bowl with us, he simply was present for picture taking opportunity and gave out candy canes. He was a very authentic looking Santa, and the kids had a blast so it was thumbs up from me. The kids got to bowl 1 game for $3.50 with the group discount from the school so that was a great price. Trust me, when there's 4 4-years olds on one lane, one game is more than enough. It took us over 90 minutes to finish one game. Not sure how appropriate it would have been in front of the other parents but a nice holiday baileys and coffee would have been awesome. Too bad the bar wasn't open at 10am. The bowling alley it self was actually really nice even if the outside does looks a little wrecked. It's really big and has more lanes than I've ever seen at any alley. It was very clean even if it is dated on the inside. The bathrooms were small and needed updating but super clean and actually smelled good of some fruity plug in. They opened the kitchen early this day for some fired snacks and although we didn't personally order anything I did seen baskets of fried goodness that was definitely worth ordering. The bar area was really big and had plenty of seats/booths and a dance floor!? Anyways it too was clean and appealing looking. Overall, a place I'd like to get my drink on and do some bowling at. Weekend open bowling is $3.50 a game, $2 shoes, $22 for the whole lane for 1 hour, $20 per additional hour. Lady at counter was very pleasant. I say 4 stars for what I experienced and what I seen. I have been going to this bowling alley ever since I was a little kid. However, if I was a bowler who deeply cared about the game and the atmosphere around the sport, my rating would probably be significantly lower. I am not one of those people luckily so this place fits my expectations. Nothing has really changed over the years other than the bar addition in the middle of the place. Which, like I said before, I enjoy. From the animations, the bowling ball quality, the food prep, the carpet, the lights, etc., it all checks out. Even this, which seems to have increased over the years, the faulty scoring sensors and bowling ball return sensors in the back. Sometimes it will not set up all 10 pins, sometimes it will count extra pins, and sometimes the balls simply get stuck back there for a long period of time. That's okay though, I always get a laugh out of it when I go. read more

I used to work at Imperial in high school and go back now years later to say "hi" when I'm in town. This is a local, family owned business with the kindest managers. They do anything to ensure customers have a positive experience (I've even seen them accommodate two bowling alley proposals here!) They're going through some renovations in their bars, adding new equipment and lights to lanes to make a more fun bowling experience. Open bowling hours are sometimes late at night on weekends due to leagues, but that's just the nature of the business! read more

I paid $50 for the food took $10 didn't even bring it out to us not a big deal go back to get a refill only certain things can be refilled for $0.50 want to buy a bottle of water $5 to buy a bottle of water with a credit card. Go to the vending machines they don't take credit card. Bowling paid for two games have three turns left for each of us they come up and tell us that we cannot finish our last three turns on that lane cuz they're getting ready for leagues. Then want to offer Us coupons to come back no thank you I won't come back there are too many bowling alleys in the area and apparently my hundred dollars isn't good enough if I'm not a league. read more

My sister and I took my niece and her friends bowling on Sunday 9-11-16 for a little 4th birthday. The kids had fun bowling, but this establishment made all of the other parts of having a gathering of children VERY stressful and annoying. Let me start with the staff - super unprofessional. I understand they are likely high school aged people, but they were very immature and wreaked like cigarettes from the 20 smoke breaks they had while we were there. Thus making it very hard to ask questions because they were always outside puffing away. We wanted to get the group of ten kids under the age of 8 some drinks, we were told we could not purchase a pitcher for them to share and would have to purchase individual HUGE cups that were $2.50 cents each. Babies don't need 24oz of soda! I had to beg the waitress to let me purchase 2 and split them up amongst smaller cups with lids (the ones used for coffee). Very annoying. Next, nobody EVER told us about a party room. I live out of town and had never been to this place so I called for info and it was never mentioned. My sister could have saved SO much money on their super overpriced pizza. She paid $9 per kid for bowling and shoes PLUS the cost of pizza (she spent about $60 on pizza only. 2 pepperoni and 2 cheese). When we could have used the "party room" and paid $9.50 per kid and that would have included bowling, shoes, pizza and soda. SO ANNOYING, yet again. They refused to let us use the "party room" because they apparently only let people use it on Saturday. Nobody offered us any sort of price matching or apology for not informing us of this huge cost savings. Had we known, we would have had the party on a Saturday. No music playing. No cool lights. Very drab and musty atmosphere Pizza was yummy, but mega overpriced. Giving 1 star for good pizza. The kids gobbled it up. The smell if cigarette smoke was the first thing you notice walking into the building. They should designate an area other than the doorway for smokers. I was checked in and the staff was friendly and quick. The only problem I had was continuous malfunctioning of the equipment. Although the staff was quick to correct the problems, they never moved us to another lane even when asked. They did give us a voucher for free games but I'm not sure. Came for a work function and only bowled. There was an older bowling league present so the place was pretty busy. There was only one lady behind the bar when we arrived which didn't make sense when we had close to 200 people in our party. She handled the crowd though, so it wasn't too long of a wait. Our son loves to go bowling unfortunately everytime we go to imperial lanes our balls get stucked or don't come back , the pins don't reset ,etc. We wish htey will service the open lanes as they do with the bowling leagues lanes. read more

I never started bowling here until last year, but this place is great. The lanes are great and the staff is friendly. All the staff there remembers me and makes a point to say hello when I'm in. Mary at front counter is always there and helps build customer relationships. Very good for business. The bar is good and I appreciate an ice cold beer on draft, which imperial does well compared to other houses who serve like warm beer on draft. Now the only real complaint is the parking lot. Huge craters and pot holes pulling in, other than that imperial is great. Randy in pro shop is good too. read more

DO NOT book a kid's birthday party here! As other reviews have stated, they will not allow the kids to have pitchers of water anywhere near the bowling alley even though people were drinking pop and beer there. There was no reason for this and I even had someone call a manager who also said NO! Crazy! One out of three of our lanes would not return balls and staff was super slow to respond even though we were on a time limit. The pizza was not ready when we went to the party room so we sat around waiting. There wasn't enough cups or plates or napkins for the kids. One of each for each kid. The staff did not help serve cake and we were given thin white plates for that. It was cheap though and the kids had fun!!! lol read more
