They did okay with my move. It was just from one apartment to another about ten minutes away, so…read morenot a big job for them. They were friendly and easy to communicate with. I left them alone and let them do their thing for a few hours and just told them to text me when they were ready, which they did. After they were all done and I was setting up in my new apartment, the first thing I looked for was my air conditioner. It was a hot day and if I was gonna be working on setting up my new apartment I needed cool air. I couldn't find it anywhere, I couldn't even find any of my many fans. So I went back to the old apartment and found them all there. Why leave those? I told them the only things I didn't want them to move, the air conditioner and my fans were definitely not on that list. I understand saving those for last so you can have them running while you work, but why just leave them at the end? It's so strange. They left a number of other things I had wanted them to get as well, but easily the most annoying thing was the air conditioner. It's a big heavy one that sits on the floor, I was pretty annoyed that now I had to bring it down two stories of stairs when I had just paid these movers $1200 to do it. So that loses them three stars in my rating. I should also mention that days after our move we got an email from them offering us a $25 gift certificate to L.L. Bean in exchange for a positive review. I chose to write an honest review instead.

Our new home is LESS than 10 minutes away from our current home, yet they wanted to charge us over $200 just in travel fees alone! Then, they charge $231 per hour on top of that with a MINIMUM of 6 hours. UNREAL!!!! So, to move just a few large items less than 10 minutes away, which probably would have taken no more than 2 hours, it would have cost us nearly $2000 (the quote they provided us was $1700). What a joke!!!! We have since hired another local moving company, who will only be charging us a little over $400 for this move and have told us that it may even be less if they are able to do it faster, which is FAR more reasonable and is exactly what we expected to pay for this move. These people are Liberty Bell are greedy price gougers!!! No way would we ever pay that much for a local move! Hell, we have friends who moved almost 800 miles and they didn't even pay that much! Definitely do NOT recommend this company!

She made the process extremely easy and had the quote to my inbox within 48 hours. I've amended the quote and as always Trudy is prompt, courteous, and reassuring. This move truly is catered to my needs without breaking the bank. They offer full pack services and car moving services (not towing or driving, actually on a truck) and charge by weight, not volume. Our belongings were packed carefully and expeditiously as they brought along about 7 people to help pack our 2800sqft house. The movers asked us before packing items if they had any questions and stickered every item for storage or new living space. They were careful not to ding up the house, they were courteous, and they did a fabulous job. Not ONE item is broken post-move. They went over the packing list with me post-pack to explain cost, materials used, labor, and show a detailed list of what had been packed. There had been a hiccup with our delivery truck due to weather (January in Maine), and they gave us the option of taking everything that day, or leaving us our bed and a few items to then pick up two days later when the truck arrived. We opted for them to take everything as we had an air mattress and enough to get by. I appreciated their willingness to be flexible and that they were sensitive to my emotions regarding leaving our beloved home. When the truck delivered our items, earlier than scheduled, everything was unloaded with care (though I think this was by an Allied crew). Our final cost was $600 less than expected. Woohoo! CMM&S has exceeded all of my needs, and I absolutely recommend them for your moving needs.

Mind you, it's the middle of winter and the country is in the grips of a global pandemic. I called the guys at D&J and my call was answered by a real person, there was no "Press 1 for this...press 2 for that..." I easily scheduled a weekend appointment-even with the threat of winter storms they were willing to keep an eye on the forecast and stressed their flexibility. He quoted me that a typical move like mine would be about 4 hours. I had packed all that I could into moving boxes. With the exception of furniture. Which, they broke apart AND reassembled perfectly in my new place!!! Score! They arrived promptly on a Saturday morning, they practiced masking and social distancing and you could tell the way the team performed seamlessly that these guys knew what they were doing and they treated my possessions with kid gloves. They went above and beyond during this freezing winter move. With one guy on his knees with a hammer chiseling my frozen BBQ grill from the snow bank that encompassed it! They accept cash and check only -I wished I could have paid with my debit card as I seldom use cash now-a-days. But, that said, the crew waited for me to dash to the ATM up the street, so I paid that way. For me, they charged $130.00 an hour. And it was beyond worth it! They spent 3.5 hours between both places, that included disassembling and reassembling my bed and my daughters bed. These guys know what they are doing. They were quick, professional, approachable and treated my furniture like their own!
