All of the workers I interacted with leading up to my appointment and during were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I booked a private appointment which cost $500; my group was rather large (about 11 people - so the appointment type for this guest count was required) and they were immediately greeted, given seating, provided with drinks, and had a wonderful snack table/charcuterie. I personally loved having the store to just myself and my group for 2 hours and I felt like it helped streamline things. Huge shoutout to my stylist, Tamiko, for starting the appointment by reminding all the guests that I should be the first to speak about what I did or did not like about the dress, to ensure my decision wasn't immediately altered by their opinions. Tamiko made me feel comfortable and heard every step of the way. She brought me options that met the criteria of what I thought I wanted, and based on my reaction and feedback, she brought new options that I may not have previously considered. The overall selection of sizing, availability, color, styles, and veils was truly wonderful. Tamiko was also very mindful of my budget with each option she brought to me. I did end up going over my budget a little due to adding off the shoulder sleeves, and two veils but only by a marginal amount. My out the total (without alterations) was: $3,807.52. Paid $75 thinking I was getting some treats and was told we would have sparkling cider for kids. It came with lemonade and a tray of cookies (macaroons). That's it. Ended up going somewhere else (it's free, with refreshments) and accommodations are massive with a huge private room. You feel like a star. I had the best experience picking out my wedding dress at Strut! I was looking for a salon that carried plus-size dresses that wouldn't break my budget. To be honest, I kept delaying getting a dress because I hate trying on clothes and was scared I'd be my biggest enemy and never find one I felt beautiful in. I was wrong! I did the initial call with Tamiko, who asked me what I was looking for and gave me some general info. I was disappointed but not surprised when she told me I'd need to buy "off the rack," it was my own fault for waiting. But she encouraged me to keep an open mind. I scheduled a VIP appointment and brought my mom and 4 bridesmaids, they had champagne and treats waiting for us. Aubrey was my stylist and was so welcoming and personable. She already had some dresses pulled for me based on some inspo photos I had sent her. I tried around 4 dresses that were beautiful but not for me, but I think the process really helped her find what I did/didn't like. And just like magic she pulled one last dress, and that was the one! It was something I would have never imagined myself in but so perfect for me. It was in the higher end of my price range, but all of the dresses in the salon are affordable and they have dresses for every budget. My only suggestion would be to put up some more mirrors so you can really get a good look at all angles. Of course my guests were taking pictures/ videos of me but some more mirrors would be helpful for my personal critiques of myself lol. Altogether it was an amazing experience and I'm so glad i found my dream dress, in one day. If you're worried about having to buy "off the rack"- fear not. There is a dress out there for everyone! My overall experience with Strut Bridal was very disappointing and disheartening due to lack of attention and empathy. I made an appointment at this salon for a specific dress that they had in stock. During my appointment, my stylist was very inattentive and busy as she kept going back and forth with other clients and coworkers. My bridal party and I felt that there was no genuine interest, no guidance, and no effort to make the experience special. The bridal salon later explained to me that they were super busy that day with training new staff and apologized for their service. I believe that their lack of attention influenced the sizing issues that occurred during my experience. On my second appointment of picking up my dress, the gown arrived ill-fitting and required far more alterations that should have been necessary. When I showed concern to the stylist, the response was very nonchalant and dismissive. The stylist even said that I have time to lose a couple of inches and that a seamstress could fix the dress. After that comment, I left the salon feeling confused, stressed, and frustrated. To make matters worse, when I emailed the salon for a partial reimbursement to help cover the unexpected alterations (which were a direct result of their mistake), they denied my request and referenced their contract terms (PLEASE BE AWARE OF THEIR CONTRACT). I strongly believe that the situation could have been handled with more flexibility given the circumstances. Their response to my email was polite, but felt more like a justification rather than a sincere attempt to resolve the issue. This was supposed to be a joyful part of my wedding planning, and instead, it became a major source of stress and disappointment. 2 stars only because I absolutely love my dress or else this would turn into a 1 star review update. TLDR: customer service is not their forte and some things should not be said out loud. Nick is the reason for their good customer service reviews. Is there a reason that Nick scheduled me for my fitting and wasn't at my fitting appointment? Yes, there is. They parted ways and didn't think it was important to let me know. The only reason I bought my dress from here in the first place was due to the phenomenal customer service presented by Nick. As you can see from my previous review, I already had my mind set on another dress from another store. I even put down a deposit. It was extremely disappointing to show up to my fitting to find out that the person I trusted wasn't there. I wasn't hosted by anyone in particular. Everyone seemed to be more interested in what they were doing and their own conversations. Every so often they'd peek over and ask some questions to make small talk but I wasn't too interested. Conversation became very distasteful when one of the reps thought it was appropriate to tell me how they used to be a dancer and how much coke they used to do. I started to tune everyone out at that point. Had they told me that Nick wasn't going to be there, I probably would've scheduled my own appointment with the tailor. But then they probably wouldn't get a cut or couldn't try to upsell anything else. *shrug Until they get their heads out of their ass on how to talk and treat customers, I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here.
