What lured me in was the pastel embroidered fit and flare dress but unfortunately they didn't have it since the sample sold during the sale. However I did try on the ivory version and it was just as beautiful! Nick was my stylist and he made me feel super comfortable at my fitting. The shop was organized by style and out of the 3 bridal shops I had been to, this was the first one to give me a bustier to try on the dresses with. Nick was great at picking out styles based on my venue and listened when I mentioned what liked and disliked about features on a dress. The office manager Tamiko lacks customer service skills and should not work in a environment around people. When buying your wedding dress you need to be in a positive environment. When getting married the planning and preparation can also be stressful. Tamiko was not encouraging and was more worried about how many times I tried on the dress and the changes I made than seeing me happy. If thats not enough she goes on social media to publicly embarrass me. My stress level is on 10. Please listen to the negative reviews and do NOT buy your dress here. I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Strut Bridal Long Beach was a nightmare. What should have been an exciting part of wedding planning became months of unnecessary stress because of hidden fees, poor communication, and dishonest business practices. I purchased my dress in November 2025. After choosing a dress, my stylist (Aubrey) rushed me through the checkout. She took measurements and recommended I order one size up from the sample. At checkout, she told me I had to put a 50% deposit down to place an order. As I'm actively tapping my card, Aubrey mentions there will be a tariff fee but it will be removed if the tariffs go away by the time my dress arrives. She then tells me to check my email to review and sign my purchase agreement. I click the link, which takes me to a payment portal that just says "You're good to go!". When I show this to Aubrey, and she just said, "I guess you're good then". Once I get home, I review the email receipt and see a blank copy of the purchase agreement attached, which I never had the opportunity to review or sign. I notice their policy is actually a 25% deposit. I also see that the tariff fee was $350 plus an additional $150 shipping fee that had never been disclosed. The lack of transparency was atrocious. I also noticed my waist measurement in the portal was five inches larger than my actual waist. The next morning, I call the dress store immediately and speak with the manager, Tamika, about these issues. Tamika offers to have me come try on other dresses, since they refused to cancel my order despite the undisclosed fees. I didn't find anything I liked as much, so I kept my original dress. Tamika also re-measures me and confirms the waist measurement is indeed five inches off. I asked Nick at the front desk to send me the designer's size chart before the dress was ordered because I was borderline between sizes. He agrees, but I never receive it. In late February 2026, the tariffs were deemed illegal, so I called the store to ask if the fee would be removed. I was told that they would "have to see" whether my dress would come in with tariffs or not. Again, I ask for a copy of the size chart and I am told they will send it. They don't. I continue making payment on the dress until I have about $650 left on my portal and then leave that amount, expecting the tariff fee to be removed at some point On June 15th, my dress arrives and I make an appt for the first time slot the next morning. When I arrive to the salon, the lady behind the desk immediately asks me to pay my balance. I ask if I can see and try on my dress first and she responds by telling me "I guess, but it doesn't matter because its your dress either way. You signed a sales agreement." Girl what.. that was incredibly rude but okay. I explain the reason I hadn't paid the remainder online is because I was waiting for the tariff fee to be removed. She brings Nick out (who is very nice, but unfortunately works for the worst business ever). Nick tells me I can try on my dress while he looks into it. I try on the dress and it fits (thank god). Nick says only his manager can remove the tariff fee, but Tamika is on an airplane and is unreachable. We agree I will come back on Friday. Nick also says Tamika will call me on Thursday to discuss the issue. She never calls me. On Friday, Tamika INSISTS that they paid the tariff when the dress was *ordered*, not when it came into the country. Which is not how tariffs work... After arguing for a couple minutes, she emails the owner. While we waited for a response, Tamika looked through my file for the signed sales agreement and was unable to produce one (obvi) because Aubrey never printed one out to show me and have me sign. Tamika finally says the owner has agreed to remove the tariff fee "as a one-time courtesy." She again *insists* they paid a tariff. ALSO, when I checked out, the total I owed went down way more than the $350 tariff listed, which means they were also charging tax on the tariff fee. read more

As a first time bride, I had no idea what to expect when booking my appointment at Strut. All of the workers I interacted with leading up to my appointment and during were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I booked a private appointment which cost $500; my group was rather large (about 11 people - so the appointment type for this guest count was required) and they were immediately greeted, given seating, provided with drinks, and had a wonderful snack table/charcuterie. I personally loved having the store to just myself and my group for 2 hours and I felt like it helped streamline things. Huge shoutout to my stylist, Tamiko, for starting the appointment by reminding all the guests that I should be the first to speak about what I did or did not like about the dress, to ensure my decision wasn't immediately altered by their opinions. Tamiko made me feel comfortable and heard every step of the way. She brought me options that met the criteria of what I thought I wanted, and based on my reaction and feedback, she brought new options that I may not have previously considered. The overall selection of sizing, availability, color, styles, and veils was truly wonderful. Tamiko was also very mindful of my budget with each option she brought to me. I did end up going over my budget a little due to adding off the shoulder sleeves, and two veils but only by a marginal amount. My out the total (without alterations) was: $3,807.52. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience and I cannot recommend this location (or Tamiko) enough! read more

I had the best experience picking out my wedding dress at Strut! I was looking for a salon that carried plus-size dresses that wouldn't break my budget. I scheduled a VIP appointment and brought my mom and 4 bridesmaids, they had champagne and treats waiting for us. Aubrey was my stylist and was so welcoming and personable. She already had some dresses pulled for me based on some inspo photos I had sent her. I tried around 4 dresses that were beautiful but not for me, but I think the process really helped her find what I did/didn't like. And just like magic she pulled one last dress, and that was the one! It was something I would have never imagined myself in but so perfect for me. It was in the higher end of my price range, but all of the dresses in the salon are affordable and they have dresses for every budget. My only suggestion would be to put up some more mirrors so you can really get a good look at all angles. Of course my guests were taking pictures/ videos of me but some more mirrors would be helpful for my personal critiques of myself lol.
