I wish I could leave ZERO STARS! We never actually got to the appointment making part of the conversation. I'm new to the area and have a Latex Allergy. I never understood how bad that can get until I broke out in itchy painful puffy hives on my face and back from a popular brand Laundry soap. They stuck around for 2 weeks. I am understandable careful. First, I was calling around and found Strut Salon & Skin. They were great right up to the point when I asked about Latex. I was told that I could not bring it with me, but maybe their vendors carried it. Reasonable. She said it would be looked into and she would get back to me. The best way to contact them was via text. I should check back in a week. They are very busy. Also reasonable. Then, I texted a couple times and did not get a reply. I was not called back. 3 weeks later I called them. The woman didn't remember my conversation, even as "the crazy lady who needs Latex Free color." They clearly had not tried to check it out. I was advised that I should probably look for another Salon. I asked for a reference. She did not have one. Finally, I called to make an appointment for a hair cut and blow dry. I have long hair and understand that it cost more to cut well. I've pretty much given up hope in getting my hair professionally colored. Unfortunately I have bad shoulders and can not do it myself. I'm told it's flattering. This time she remembered my last call, apologized and hung up. Perhaps hanging up on me today was "Customer Service." Maybe lying about getting back to me regarding a life threatening medical issue was also "Customer Service." I believe the biggest "Customer Service" enacted here was them telling me to find another Salon. read more

Came in wanting a trim and light face framing, ended up leaving with the most uneven wolfcut, and will now have to cut my hair above my shoulders, when I came into this place with my hair to my elbows. I went to this salon because it had good reviews but I'm leaving with a horrible haircut and tears in my eyes. I showed Nina the photo of how I wanted it to look; but she proceeded to chop it inches and inches shorter than the photo. When I told her it was too short, she gave me a half hearted apology, asked for my payment, and sat on her phone while I swiped my card to pay for the worst haircut of my life. I just moved to Fort Walton beach in August and was searching for a great hair salon. My best friend located Strut online via Vagaro. I ended up having an appointment with Becky Bryce for a cut and color. I have to say that Becki is phenomenal! Her coloring ability for Bayalge was impeccable. It's taken me a while to write this review because i was so embarrassed with the outcome and didn't know where to even start with my experience. I was going to a stylist here a few times as a brunette and had a great experience up until I wanted to start the process of going back to blonde. I understand the process of going to blonde can take a while and I expressed this to my stylist. However, this particular day that she started the process of going blonde, I left with a wet, orangey head. (I was expecting to still leave with brown hair but maybe with some highlights, i knew it was going to be a slow process to get what i wanted). The stylist couldn't even of been bothered to brush or dry my hair at the end. When I got in the car, I gently started brushing my hair and CLUMPS of hair were falling out!! This was such a traumatic experience for me because I've spent forever trying to grow my hair out and now I'm working with another stylist getting my hair healthy again and also having to wear extensions because of the damage that was caused to my hair. read more

I was a loyal client. I was a loyal client. I had my hair done by the owner Becky when it first opened. I loved my hair cut and color the first time. Went back a second just for a haircut and was just as happy. However, the third visit to Outre for a cut and color was a disaster. Becky changed her complete line of hair products and did not use the same formula on my hair. I had sent her the picture of my hair from the first visit, so she new exactly what to do. It did not turn out correct because she used new formulas. She then refused to fix my hair. I had to pay another salon in downtown Pensacola to color correct my hair. I tried to get a refund from Becky, but she has refused. It is hard for me to understand how a business owner could treat me like this, when I was a big fan. Today I went to struts and had my hair dyed brownish I have been a bleach blonde for the last 25 years. Kassidy Patton was my color specialist and stylus also. I was very scared of going dark and being very Ash colored or even green. My hair is beautiful the healthiest it's ever been the products that were used on me were top of the line. Preface: I have extremely fine, curly hair which can't take this Florida humidity and was in desperate need of a color and a trim. My usual hair "do" is to clip it up because it looks too bad to wear down. Met with Becki Bryce and let her work her magic. She took her time listening to all my hair woes, prior treatments, bad cuts, etc. She recommended a color that was perfect and a bonder which sealed my hair. I decided on a whim to get my very long, very thick hair thinned out this morning, I called the salon and was told I could come in as soon as possible! I was pleasantly surprised especially for a Saturday afternoon. Unlike many other salons I have been to when Rachel told me she was going to take an inch off, she really took an inch, not 4. Rachel was so friendly, and made me feel like a friend who had been coming on the regular rather than just a new client. I want to start by saying that I give a 4 for customer service as everyone was very accommodating. However, I made an appointment to have my hair balayaged, and left with 2004 chunky highlights that left a ring around my head about an inch or so from the crown. It was definitely not what I had asked for, and I had to go back to get it corrected the following week. It was abundantly clear that Blayr was not comfortable with this technique, and I was fine with letting her trying to fix it, but the part that was upsetting was how much I was charged for someone that clearly shouldn't be charging as much for this service she was still perfecting. The total came to $179 and I tipped $40. They did not charge me for the color correction when I went back (times 2), but I did leave her another tip for her time. That being said, I'm unfortunately, completely dissatisfied with my hair and will be going back to my original stylist when I get back home. Blayr is really sweet, but maybe not the best choice for balayage. The pictures on their website seem to be very misleading. read more

I went with it to save some money, and I subsequently left upset. I wanted blonde hair, but I got streaks and it was so dark.
