While it may not seem like a big deal, I had been searching EVERYWHERE for an ornate nut/bolt assembly for my negative battery terminal on my Jeep Wrangler. I walked in, told the gal at the counter what I needed, and while she was researching it online, one of the mechanics took my broken nut/bolt assembly and found a close match, then went the extra mile by grinding the edges of the hex end of the bolt in order to get it close enough to work. They didn't charge me anything, and their excellent customer service did not go unnoticed nor unappreciated. Will definitely consider taking my vehicles there for repairs in the future! read more

HONEST & TRUSTWORTHY! The first time I took my car there I had a lot that needed worked on and they were timely and I felt confident about their ability to resolve my issues. I have never looked back. I took my car in there this year because I seemed to have an electrical problem with my Subaru. Turns out, I didn't. A button I had never noticed before which overrides the system had gotten flipped. They resolved the issue with NO CHARGE, showed me and talked to me about the button without making me feel like an idiot and did not install/repair something that didn't need fixing, which I think many shops might have done. I chose striker Brothers to replace the motor in my red Dodge, after some time of looking around for a motor they came across one and they installed it. The day I picked up the truck with the new motor I asked if there's anything I needed to do from this point forward they said nope just keep up on the regular oil changes, okay off I went. Few months down the road im losing compression, engine light goes on.....spark plugs changed out coil changed engine light goes back on again two weeks later. I take it back in now they tell me cylinder one is out I need a new motor. oh you didn't change the oil after 500 mi, no I was told I didn't need to..... so no I would not go back to striker Brothers. read more

We went here for a repair on our heater core. Our mechanic referred us elsewhere, but they couldn't get us in for a few weeks. Stryker brothers was able to get us in a couple days. We had used them in the past and was happy with the service. Why I am a bit unhappy this time is when I got my truck back, there was grease all over my carpet. The dash was also not pushed all the way back in and the stereo was also a bit wonky. My trucks old, but I do take care of it. I have a '97 Plymouth Voyager and as you'd imagine, it's getting a little tired. I get this occasional issue where I'm on the freeway and it has a cough and splutter. No big deal but it can be a bit unnerving. I left it at Stryker Thursday and they ran some diagnostics but didn't find anything. They ran it on the freeway today, hooked up to the computer and still nothing. Must have been a couple of hours labour, plus space in the shop and they charged me NOTHING!!! That doesn't smack me of a company that 'pads the bill' I've taken cars here before and have always come away satisfied. I would recommend this place without hesitation. read more

I have taken my cars here twice. Both times I was satisfied. The customer service is good, they are pretty funny and helpful at explaining things. It does look like they are pretty booked up most of the time, which isn't a bad thing. It must mean that they are pretty popular. Just don't expect same day service/walk-ins. I had taken my car to another shop and felt like I got ripped off. My car was running rough. I had an O2 sensor and miss fire code. So I changed an sensor and couldn't get to the other, so I took it to Stryker Brothers. It took a couple days to get an appointment but they were ready for me when I got there. They test drove my car confirmed the problem, rechecked the codes the O2 sensor was gone(I guess I changed the right one) but still had the miss fire code. The tech found the problem and fixed it in less than an hour. I had them change the other O2 sensor (at my request because it was a pain to get to) and I had my car in time for lunch. At less than half of what I paid for one visit to the other place! If I need my car fixed again, they'll be the first shop I'll call. read more

Hi...I have a Kia Sportage with 225,000 miles...and a Hyundai Sonata with 200,000 miles. Stryker Brothers has made it possible for me to maintain these cars at a reasonable price...and keep them on the road. Both cars are showing no signs of slowing down...and I plan to drive both way beyond 300,000 miles. I feel that Stryker Brothers offers good quality repair at a fair price...and a very good warranty to go with it. Summary: Stryker Brothers recommended a very expensive repair that my vehicle didn't actually need. Full Story: My Durango died on a Thursday in front of Auto Zone. The employees said they thought it might be a sensor, so I decided to get the car into a mechanic right away instead of wait for our friend who normally repairs our vehicles because it was likely going to be a quick, inexpensive fix. I chose Stryker Brothers because it had the best ratings out of nearby mechanic shops, so I was expecting honesty. They said they'd diagnose the car and get back to my on Friday, which they did, at which point they told me that they'd discovered that my head gasket needed to be replaced, which usually runs at least $2500, and that with the miles I had on it (140K, so really not too high) that they'd recommend a full engine replacement instead of the head gasket, which would be more like $4000. That's more than the Durango is worth. Well, our mechanic friend could do the head gasket for way less, so I got the Durango home, but when he looked at the printout of the test they did, he said that a head gasket is only one of a few potential problems that the test result could mean, and it's the most expensive problem. Instead of doing further testing, they just gave me the most expensive option and recommended the most expensive fix for it! A cheap test that our friend did showed that it was NOT the head gasket, and that the car really just needed a thorough tune-up and more transmission fluid--way less expensive than a head gasket. I was very disappointed with their not doing further testing and in trying to recommend the most expensive thing they could potentially get me to do. I would have paid out to fix the head gasket and still been left with the same problems. At best, this was a serious oversight on their part, and at worst it was outright dishonesty to try to make more money off of me. read more

These guys can do a good job...But Watch Out! They will pad your bill, and in less you are really adept at reading the charges, hours, labor and parts... they will skin you for and additional $50, $100 or more....Its called padding the bill! And if you bring it up when you pick up the car, they will argue with you and most customers are in to much of a hurry to make a big scene over the overcharges. They have your car until you pay up..so most customers fold. I've heard this from others and I believe it happens on 50% or more of there invoices. read more

I read great reviews and decided to give them a try. I had some work I knew needed done and called them for the job. When i picked up my vehicle afterwards - I asked if they had looked everything over and things looked good. They assured me that they had and things were good. The following day I noticed a leak. I brought it back in and they put it up in the air to show me that the leak was right next to where they had just worked. I felt confused as to why they hadn't noticed it the day before and if they had caused the new problem. They assured me it wasn't them and it must have already been damaged previously. I felt upset that they hadn't noticed it before and asked them why. They kept saying they 'didn't know why it wasn't caught the first time.' I asked what they could offer me when I fixed the new issue that cost almost twice as much as the original issue. They immediately became defensive and kept asking me 'what do you want? We cant work for free!' I explained that i didn't expect them to, but it would be nice if they offered SOMETHING since I had caught the issue myself and now had to be without a vehicle once again. (They don't offer loaner care while working on your vehicle.) I felt like it was bad customer service and i wasn't treated well but needed to get this new issue resolved. We finally agreed to a small price break when they fixed the new issue. The following week I scheduled an appointment. I explained that i couldn't get my vehicle in until between 930-10 am as I live in a different city and need to get my child to school and find a ride home as well. They said they could get my vehicle finished in a day and I would pick it up that evening. When I dropped it off he mentioned that it wouldn't be ready for pick up til the next day. This was Frank and I had not spoken with him previously. I told him that I was under the impression it would be finished same day and he shrugged his shoulders and said I needed to be there when they opened for that. I agreed to leave it over night. The following day Frank called and said it was ready. I got a ride to go pick it up. When he told me my bill he seemed annoyed that the other gentleman had agreed to a lower price. I paid the bill and asked if my receipt showed all work done. He said yes. I asked if they checked everything over after they fixed the issue and he said no, we checked it the other day. I was upset and explained that they had missed something the last time so I didnt understand why they hadnt looked over the vehicle upon completion. He said they checked it the day i brought it back after i had noticed the leak. I told him they only looked at the specific area that i already knew to be damaged and I had never heard of a car shop that doesn't check over the vehicle before returning it to the customer. He became rude and said 'i'm not going to argue with you about it.' And then flung my paperwork across the desk at me and turned to walk away. I was really upset that they were treating me this way and turned to walk out. He said 'Do you want your key too or are you just going to leave that here?' I turned back to him and he smirked at me before handing me my key. I would not recommend this business to anyone. They treated me poorly for no apparent reason. read more

BUYER BEWARE - Battery issue. After looking at my car for less than 5 minutes they said I needed not only a new battery but needed battery cables and a new alternator. The estimate was for $700.00. I took my car to my dealer and they told me the recent cold weather sapped my battery. The dealer also ran an alternator test and it was just fine. These guys are awesome. They're absolutely great. I have had both my cars in there for various issues in the last couple of months (practically put their kids through college let's say) they helped me out with the huge problem from the Jiffy Lube in Lake Stevens where they overfilled my oil pan by 3 fracking gallons and blew out my head gasket on my minivan which was a friggin nightmare to work on, just ask the guys at striker brothers. These guys really helped me out. They cut me a good deal. They fixed every single issue that I had with my cars that I brought to them. I brought them back because my cars were being stupid and throwing up trouble codes. They checked it all out and they cleared them all and they made sure everything still worked AT NO EXTRA CHARGE! These guys are the best. Any negative stereotypes you hear about auto mechanics do not apply to these people. They are wonderful. I recommend bringing your car here for every service that they offer.
