Its very hard to find a good contractor these days. I don't know why it is so hard for some guys to do basic things like show up on time and follow simple directions. I've had to deal with bad workmanship, bad communication, guys not showing up, not cleaning up, guys who are lazy and need babysitting, you name it. And many of the good contractors don't want to help you unless you have a big job for them. T&B Drywall was a refreshing experience. I had a couple small drywall repair and paint projects I needed help with. Brian gave me quotes over the phone, they were not the cheapest but they were reasonable. Most his guys were on bigger jobs but he brought couple guys over since I needed help that week. The workers were extremely professional. They showed up on time or earlier. I walked hem around the house explaining what needed to be done, went to work, and when I got home, everything was done exactly as I had asked for it. The painter finished about half my house and a day and a half, painted straight lines without tape. When he was done, there was barely had any paint on his shirt - the guy is a real ninja. Very difficult time to find a drywall contractor as everyone is so very busy in the building industry. After a few weeks of making calls, setting appointments only to get no-shows or cancellations for quotes; I contacted T&B Drywall using Yelp. I was looking for someone to drywall my garage and T&B had photos on their yelp page of just that, garage drywall jobs. Within minutes of sending an inquiry for an estimate, Brian (the "B" in T&B) responded asking me for photos of the job so he could do a prelim quote/assessment. 10 minutes later, I had a reasonable quote and an appointment set for him to come out at my request to look over the job and chat about details, references, etc. just to be sure there would be no surprises. To my complete surprise, Brian rolls up to the house at exactly the precise time we agreed. Impressive I'm thinking...but lets see where the internet quote goes, after all; my photos couldn't show everything and I did leave a few details out of our initial discussion. Surprise #2, his initial quote stands! Of course I managed to add to the job sensing I could offload some of the paint work I figured I would have to take on and with a very reasonable increase we have a deal including material, labor and a start/finish commitment. T&B started the following Monday morning, AT EXACTLY our agreed upon start time every day! Brian and his team whipped through the work fast and efficiently completing on time even after I again increased the scope of work slightly once or twice. Another thing I insisted upon was a payment schedule tied to results, after being burned in the past by a dishonest contractor who walked off my job unfinished. Brian was happy to agree to a payment schedule that left me at ease as the job went on (4-5 days). At the end of the job, Brian personally cleaned up the worksite and walked me through the job to ensure I was happy with the results. In conclusion, I couldn't be happier. In the end T&B demo'd some old drywall, installed insulation, hung, taped and mudded my 20'x20' garage, primed and painted the work. They hauled away all the spoils and left my place as clean as it was when they started. I highly recommend T&B for any drywall job you might have. read more

Camillo did a great job, was much faster (and more talented) than our usual drywall repair guy, the price was fair, and Bryan was quick about scheduling. I made an appointment for an interior repaint job. We agreed on a time of 12 noon. I planned this specifically so I can meet during my lunch. Around 12:11pm I sent a message asking for an ETA, and receive a response saying he's running 30 min late. (This was red flag #1 since it was clear that had I not inquired, he wouldn't have bothered to let me know) I let him know that I was going to be around until 1:30, at which time I needed to return to work. Then around 12:45 I msged again asking for an ETA. He wouldn't give an estimated time, only saying something about there being a lot of traffic and he was coming from another far away city. I reminded him of my deadline to return to work, to which he responded 'let's reschedule' (why, so I can waste another 1.5hrs waiting for a no-show the next day?). I let him know I'm reconsidering. The two most troubling parts of this engagement were 1)lack of communication - being late isn't an issue but you need to give the customer an honest estimate of when he can expect your arrival. He could've just started out telling me to meet at 1:30pm and I could've easily accommodated. 2)lack of respect for his customer's time - apparently it was OK for me to waste 1.5hrs of my time waiting on a no-show. I had two other contractors schedule for around the same time for quoting other jobs and both of them managed to make it on time. I'll bet if it were flipped, he wouldn't feel very good about others wasting his time. I don't believe Brian is a bad guy, but he needs to seriously address these shortcomings in the way he engages customers. Otherwise he will continue to lose good opportunities like this one. read more

The first time when he visited our home and discussed everything about our re-roofing need, I was quite sure I would hire him to do the job, and finally I did after comparing with 3 other companies. Today, the project is finally completed. Even though it took longer than originally told, but it was not 100% their fault. Simply put, I am very satisfied with the job they have done. Bryan is always there for you so you can ask any questions by emails, by texts or phones. While the foreman, Javier, impressed me very much as well. My roof and gutters was a mess (including my yard) due to my neighbor's pine tree. I requested a quote from local roofers for the roof/gutter cleaning and replacing one attic vent. Bryan reached out to me and came within the week to physically inspect the roof. At that time I also asked if he could also maintenance my vents/flashings to which he added towards the estimate. He was able to provide me an estimate the same day which I thought was reasonable compared to other estimates I received. I was able to have Bryan and his team come out to complete the service within 2 weeks (mostly because of my schedule) and their team did a splendid job! Roof and gutters are pristine. New vent and other vents/flashings were resealed. I'm not sure if it was the color of the sealant or rust-free paint, but the vents/flashings now blend with the color of my roof.
