We bought my wife's wedding band and had my wedding band resized at Stucki's and it was an incredible experience. Not only did they have a great selection for us to choose from, but the staff was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly while helping find what was right for us. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their service and aren't like other jewelers that have a hard sales mentality. They also offer this unique and amazing cigar gift option in their store. They carry a variety of excellent cigars in their in-store humidor as well as different bourbon glasses that you can personalize and buy. What's great is that they package the whole gift up in a nice presentation and offer other essentials like cutters, lighters, even snacks to go with your cigars and bourbon. The staff are all very very helpful and nice! I went into see about rhodium plating/ cleaning my wedding bands that had never been cleaned before. I ended up getting a prong repaired for a loose diamond. It was timely and well priced! I also picked up some cigars for my husband for our anniversary. I am not a high-end customer but I am always treated as one, even if I just come in for a polish/ cleaning of jewelry or a battery replacement for my watch. Often, the service is performed on the spot. I've had them engrave unusual items, which they have done with precision and excellence. I have been unhappy with the work they performed 3 times. They can't get the size right and after 3 times I'm done with them. I had them solder my rings which was uneven. After spending hundreds of dollars I'm not giving them more $ to make more mistakes. read more

Well, this is only the 2nd time I've posted a review on Yelp.... I've read all the wonderful reviews. Unfortunately I'm not able to post a good review...So here goes.... I took my diamond ring in because it kept turning on my finger. I also had problems getting the ring over my fat knuckles. I very clearly explained my problem. It costs me almost $300 for this little bracket placed inside my ring...I went back 3 times complaining that their fix didn't address either problem....I was then told they had another remedy but it would cost me a lot more!! At that point I was done with them..I sat on this problem for quite a while before I decided to check with another very reputable Jeweler. They installed 2 small knobs on the inside of my ring. Problem solved and much to my shock it cost me only $35! Need I say more?? So get estimates from another store before having work done at Stucki.... I'm so disappointed because I had gotten some good referrals. read more

I had an earlier history with Stucki Jewelers many years ago. I got my ears pierced there for my birthday, bought my first gold ring from them that was Langstrom's Black Hills gold. My grandparents had retired to Grass Valley when I was very young and I spent many years in that area both to visit and to stay with my grandparents. I used to love Stucki Jewelers. They had a huge selection and the folks there were so nice. I have treasured my past purchases from them. Fast forward quite a few years later and clearly times have changed. Their inventory is very limited compared to before but that is okay. However was was NOT okay was my visit this past week. I was so excited to be in town for an event and made a special trip into town just to go to Stucki Jewelers. My plan was to see if they still carried Black Hills gold and also to buy myself a new pair of earrings. A complete treat to myself and something I was very much looking forward to. However when I got there, they had 2 clients they were helping and 2 others in front of me waiting to be help with just 2 gentleman working the counter. Okay, not a problem. I walked around a bit and I waited. I was so happy to inquire on a pair of earrings I saw. They helped one of the others waiting and then helped the 2nd person. I grew uncomfortable as I stood there and waited. Approximately 15 minutes went by and not one of the 2 gentlemen ever acknowledged my existence. At least one did make eye contact with me but that was all. I started to go from being uncomfortable to growing angry. I checked my watch to see how long I had been standing there is my earlier happiness disappeared. No one said Hello, no one asked if they could help me, no one said "thank you for waiting it will be just a few more minutes, no one said BOO. After 15 minutes of waiting, I left feeling almost embarrassed. And as sad as this may seem, I was almost in tears. This jeweler's shop meant that much to me from my earlier happy memories that I now realized I was no longer welcome. I have no plans to even return to Stucki's Jewelers. And that is something I never thought I would ever say . Shame on you for letting me leave without saying Hello or even Good Bye :( read more

They always have the latest styles, nicest designs and amazing window displays that all show their cutting edge approach to Jewelry design. My husband and I worked with Stucki jewelers to create two custom white gold wedding bands with diamonds in-laid to fit my engagement ring setting. We really enjoyed working with the jewelers here - they are always very friendly and knowledgeable. They engraved our wedding bands for FREE! They also assisted my husband in sizing and ordering his Tungsten Carbide wedding band. The prices were reasonable for what we were wanting to have made for us and we couldn't be happier with my new super-unique bridal setting and my husband's beautiful, different wedding band. read more

My mother brought in my grandmothers wedding to have it repaired. There were a number of broken/missing diamonds. They did the repairs and "rebuilt the entire ring", but when we got it one of the stones was noticeably a different shape and set crooked. I brought it back in and asked why the stone looked like that and asked if it was maybe loose. I was assured the stones were in there tight and it was correct. I brought the ring to a different jeweler the next day. They immediately noticed that one of the diamonds was about ready to fall out... very loose, and that another diamond was completely a different cut than the one next to it. (It was supposed to match in shape and I was told it looked as if the chipped stone had been polished and reset.) It was also set incorrectly. I bagged the ring and brought it back to Stucki with my Mother. The jeweler said he saw the PROBLEMS and would take care of it. He did replace the bad stone and fixed the loose one. Against my better judgement, I also had them resize the ring. They gave me multiple different prices on different days. (The pricing was also TWICE that of other local jewelers.) I took time off work to pick up the ring and the owner let us go with no additional charge. (We had already paid over $800 for a ring they appraised at $2000.) We thought they saw their mistakes and poor initial service and were trying to make it right... but I received a phone call today telling me they made a mistake and asked me to come in and pay. Wouldn't you know that it was another different price this time! I will go in and pay, but I will also warn every person I know what they tried to get away with and how they treat their customers... come to find out, my employer had a similar issue with them not long ago. Sizing of wedding band - Not the establishment you want to do business with regarding ring sizing. The company wanted to recharge me the full amount for work they recently completed that was incorrectly done. Instead of working with me they continued to find excuses on why the ring was correctly sized and to make arguments about why it did not need to be resized and that I might lose it at the beach. It took twisting and turning to remove the ring and the ring was pinching my ring finger. Still they continued to find some excuse. They apparently send the ring out or have a contract jeweler who is not an inhouse craftsman capable of making simple sizing work. Last time I use Stucki. read more

Got my engagement ring sized there. Was told I would not even notice when it was done. My ring is now lopsided, there is a mark on the shank where it was cut, the shank is thin (what did I pay for gold for??) and it is too large. What a joke. I am disappointed and will never return there. read more

I took a pearl ring in to have the pearl reset after it had fallen out. I picked up the repaired ring a couple of weeks later. The ring was for our daughter and you can imagine how bad I felt when she told me the pearl had fallen out again. While on vacation not long after that we walked into a very nice jewelry shop and mentioned the pearl falling out twice to the jeweler. I happened to have the ring with me and I can't begin to tell you how I felt when I was told the pearl fell out because it didn't fit the setting. In other words, my pearl had been switched out. I couldn't believe it. The jewelry showed us clearly that the pearl that was in my daughter's setting was not the same pearl that was in the ring when we bought it. We went back to where we got the ring and that only confirmed the pearl had been switched. When I asked Stucki if I could have my peach colored pearl back instead of the cream color pearl they gave me I couldn't believe it. They denied the whole thing but yet they agreed the pearl in the ring currently did not fit the setting. They couldn't explain that and as far as the color goes...I noticed that when I picked it up and I was told it would look different out in the light. Stucki's switched pearls and I have no doubt. Years ago I also took my engagement ring in to have the prongs checked and when I got my diamond ring back I found the setting to be nicked my some jewelery's tool. They said no one could see it. Amazing local experience. Several years ago I lost my wedding ring and purchased a new one through Stucki's. At the time I felt like the price was a little more than I probably could have spent with a fly by night shop on-line, but I went ahead feeling good about the transaction. Fast forward to today, we've moved out of the area and I just realized that the ring had cracked and needed repair. I called the store and happened to catch the owner, who not only said they would handle the warranty paperwork and replace the ring for free, but also offered to hand deliver it on a trip he already had planned to so-cal.
