After coming here for some years Blanca and Max are my go to ladies. They give great fades and don't leave you looking like you just got out of boot camp. Depending on the day the wait can be kinda long but they have a good amount of barbers to keep the line moving. Stud Cuts was recommended to him by some friends, and it is now a regular occurrence that we see many we know within it's walls! They have very comfy couches that you can come in and sit on while waiting for your haircut, and whoever I see sitting leaving after their haircut always seems impressed and happy with the result. This place is nice and i love the service here. But the price is outrageous. For a simple buzz cut it cost me 13 bucks. If i had hair and needed a real haircut yhen this place would be fine, but i can literally down the street and get a $8.00 haircut that is just as good. And if your into the straight razor shave they service that but for extra. So if you need a military cut and on a budget then this place is not good place for you. After visiting another in-town barber shop the Sunday before, my husband was eager to try another place. This is the 2nd of 2 places recommended to me by fellow Marines & their spouses. We didn't come to this place the weekend before because it is further from our apartment, but it was 100% worth the drive across town! We arrived right as they opened on Sunday. The inside is clean, comfortable, and everyone was very welcoming & friendly. The big TVs and selection of magazines ensures that you won't be bored while you wait - or chat with the fellow patrons. My husband got a high-reg from Sara & says it is the best haircut he's ever gotten since he became a Marine - even better than the folks at Parris Island! Hubby's haircut was $9, and for an extra $2, she straight-razored the lower part of his head - definitely worth the extra cost. Finally, once the barber is done, you can get a free shampoo & moisturizer applied to prevent razor bumps & ensure you don't have any random hairs still clinging to you. Today I was charged $15. I cannot believe it. Oh well I hope they know what they're doing. I'm a repeat customers not just because she does such a great job with my hair but also because I have a rapport with her. I used to get my hair cut weekly while I was a Marine and now I still make the extra drive to come see her. Since then, I've been stationed in North Carolina, Okinawa, deployed, etc. So, off and on, I've been getting my hair cut there for 18 years. They girls do a phenomenal job. They know how to cut military hair. Flat tops, High reg, Medium reg, Low reg, shave your neck with a straight razor, etc. Then a shampoo after. Good size flat screens for watching while you wait. I think ESPN and all the major sports games run 24/7. Never seen anything else play on them. The ladies all have calenders at their stations. You know when they will and won't be there. My man and his boys love this place. When he was in, they would come to this location or the one in San Clemente on a weekly basis.Now that he's out, we still come to get his haircut here. Sarah, at the Oside location, does an amazing job. He usually gets a fade and a line up, which she always does perfectly. The atmosphere is also chill- they have big couches since there is usually a line, and plenty of magazines to read while waiting. They also have music going and usually a sports channel on. Not to mention, I think that the whole staff are ladies, including the shampoo girls who rinse you out and give you a quick scalp massage. Awesome staff and they all know who you are after coming in a few times. My marine buddies got me going here in 2001. I never keep my hair to military style, but they do civilian hair cuts just as good as the expensive places. I usually pay only $10-12 for my cut. They even trim my beard. I go every two weeks to get my fix. DONT GO ON ON SUNDAYS. Really busy with active duty guys getting their cut for the upcoming week. No kids hair cuts on Sunday's either.
