The person that was supposed to cut my hair took another client. Someone else offered to cut my hair. Cool. In the end, I was charged a higher price then what I booked because I "chose" to go with another stylist. I didn't choose another stylist. I also feel like the stylist rushed my cut because she was trying to fit me in. Haircut is so-so. read more

My whole family and I have been getting our hair cut by Natalie for over 10 (!!) years now and her and the NV stylists are still the only people I trust with my hair. From trims, to bangs, to highlights, balayage and ombré, Natalie has done it all wonderfully while also being super friendly and professional. The salon is always clean and the decor is modern and pretty. Personally, I can't ever pass by the included little boutique - I own a lot of their jewelry and a few shirts and sweaters by now and everything is great quality. Stylist had a 3pm cancellation. They reached out to me to come earlier as I was scheduled for 4:30. Since I could not come they suggested two days later. I said I could not come then. They suggested the following day, I could not come then either. I could come at my scheduled appointment time which I had booked the day before. They proceeded to tell me that she was no longer available as I am assuming she did not want to wait around for a couple hours due to her cancellation. I have a toddler and have no childcare. This was my only time to come in a get a long overdue haircut for myself. It's stylists and salons like this that are more concerned about their time than their customers and will lose them because of it. read more

I am not one to typically leave reviews but as time has gone on I have gotten more irritated at this situiation. I received a coupon and decided to treat my 15 year old daughter despite not going here before. We scheduled an appt online for all over highlight. Day of the appointment (5/31) we show up and check in, I show the coupon. I can't stay as I have to get back to work so my daughter stays, she's been to salons before so no worries, right? Very wrong. I go to pick her up and the total, after the coupon, is considerably more than the cost of the color service shown online. I figure that they just had to use more color so that's why the cost was more, I don't really haggle because I haven't been here before and don't want to make a scene. I do get a receipt. While walking to the car I notice that we were charged for a blow dry and toner. We did not book for either and the stylist didn't ask if my daughter wanted her hair blow dried nor did she disclose how much it would cost to blow dry it - she just started to dry her hair after the color. I was irritated, it felt like my daughter was taken advantage of because she was alone, so I wrote an e-mail to the owner. Not looking for anything other than an acknowledgement that they should do better (make sure to get clear permission for services) but haven't anything. We have been to quite a few local salons and every place makes sure to not only ask if you want additional services (like a blow dry) but that there is an additional charge - it's not that hard to be courteous. read more

I just would like to thank her so much for listening and then taking her time to give me a through consultation in what I'm looking for . She asked my lifestyle my profession my time I spend on my hair if I'm looking for more traditional , classic , trendy . Wow is all I can say. After that she brought me back and I had an amazing shampoo I felt like I was in another world . I honestly think I fell asleep . After that she combed my hair out was really gentle and light handed . Not to mention the 101 on the premium Bumble & bumble. She spent a good hour on me and I feel like I look a lot younger then going under the knife . I just went under the scissor instead She told me me she was working as a stylist for 7 or 8 year and heard about Vidal Sassoon and decided to add to her education and started over as an assistant for a two year apprenticeship and honed her skills to perfection. Personally I'd give zero Stars if I could. I just moved to the state so I got a Groupon to have baylage done on my hair. I told her I wanted golden blonde and a golden brown on top she pretty much just ignored everything I said. Try to force me to a haircut and criticize the way my hair was. She bleached it and kind of toned it. I walked out with platinum blonde hair and nothing done to the top of my head. I suffer from major anxiety so I didn't say anything to her just kept shaking my head. the lower half of my hair is still bluish cuz she didn't tone all of it right. And if that wasn't enough she damaged my hair so much that I have to cut despite the fact that I always trying to grow it out for my wedding. Expensive salon. I had highlights done. Stylist barely spoke English so there was a hard time communicating. In the end the highlights were dull and ashy. A toner was suggested, however I was told it would be $20 extra. (unbelievable!) Now (a week later) highlights faded to a mousey color even while using a color protective shampoo. My advice Stay away from this service. Go somewhere it's all included and guaranteed. read more

WOW! Seriously wow. I walked into NV salon while I was getting an oil change down the block from there the other day. I was greeted right away by the receptionist, and seated with a stylist named Stephanie. Stephanie is amazing. Really made sure what I wanted, and completed the haircut PERFECTLY. When she shampoo's your head it's the most relaxing thing. Friendly, but not annoying friendly like some stylist I've had in the past from other salons. Prices were right and the service was great. I wish I could give this 0 stars. I asked for 3 inches cut and soft ends, not blunt. She cut the fair with the scissors facing down so the ends are not blunt I guess idk. I guess she then fucked it up because the front few bits looked fine but I couldn't see the back. I thought she was just touching thing sup but she was fixing her mistake and cut off 3 more inches to make it even. Is it really that hard to cut three inches of hair??!!! I saw it before she "touched it up" and it looked fine, long but still a little jagged and then she took the scissors to my front strands and drew them down and i started crying I didn't ask for short stupid face framers. So now one side of my face has short strands at my chin. I had long thick hair and I loved it and always got compliments but she butchered it into short booblength blunt- specially like I told her not to- and it looks stupid like a mom on a budget. I am new to the area and was looking for a new place to be a regular at. I use aveda products and did a Google search for an aveda salon and NV salon came up with great reviews and just down the road from me. Customer service was below average, which I should have canceled just after making an appointment. I called for an appointment no answer, didn't leave a message. Not even 60 seconds later I get a call from the salon asking if I called, the receptionist seemed to have a little attitude but I didn't think much of it. I told her I'm a new customer looking to make a haircut appointment, she asked when would I like to come in and I asked what was available and she just said let me know when. I was able to get in that day and it seemed like the whole day was open. (That should have been a sign, I'm use to having to call in advance to schedule at my previous salons, this seemed like super cuts where they aren't that busy) I came on time for my appointment, my stylist greeted me and took me back, asked what I wanted, then took me to wash my hair, (which was just getting my hair wet plopping shampoo and conditioner and then rinse, I think my hair was cleaner before I came in) My stylist didn't speak to me until she was done with my cut. I tried a couple of times to start a convo but I could tell she didn't seem intersted. The salon was pretty empty, more employees than customers. Overall my hair cut was ok, but my hair was very greasy when I left had to go wash it. Overall not impressed with the salon. Customer service not great. Aveda products not used (maybe Google was wrong). My hair cut is ok. Just the overall experience, would make me not come back. read more

It took me a while to decide if I wanted to leave this feedback but if others are trying to decide whether or not to go here they need to hear about experiences like mine. I bought a groupon for this salon and I am not sure if the groupon was good only for the stylist I had, but I was NOT happy with my results. I do not remember the stylists name, but she was Asian and barely spoke English. When I explained what I wanted, she tried to repeat and confirm what I wanted, but did not explain herself well and I had to repeat myself a few times to try and make sure she knew what I was wanting. Then she had to go to another stylist several times to ask questions. So from the get go I was not feeling very optimistic. I asked for dark brown lowlights and some deep red and wanted the lowlights to be more dominant over the red. When she was done, my hair was pretty much orange and could barely see the lowlights (quite honestly, I am not sure she even put them in..) Then she started cutting my hair, which was NOT part of the groupon. I asked her, and she says "No worry". She did OK with the cut, but even that was just OK, and then I got charged an extra $45 for the cut. WTF??? I was very angry. When I leave a salon, I want to feel good, and better about my hair, not worse. I went home, pretty much cried, and had to call another salon to go and have it fixed. I normally do not have bad experiences with groupon and I typically find new places by using them. Not the case with NV Salon. read more

NV Salon is so stylish, clean, and relaxing. I love going to get my hair done there. I've been going to Kelly for years, and she always makes my hair look amazing whether it's highlights, low lights, or even purple. I even brought in a bottle of a specific hot pink that I wanted for just a section of hair and it turned out perfect. NV staff are friendly and professional-- sometimes I wasn't sure what I wanted, but Kelly looked at some books and magazines with me and gave some suggestions on what would work well with my hair. I always get the perfect color and my hair feels so soft when we're finished. I definitely look forward to my trips to NV and have received many compliments on my hair. Being a person who normally stays on the "conservative" and basic blonde end of hair coloring and style, I wanted something a little different but still "safe" for me.
