I have been coming to Liana here for 7 years and love her! Melanie is the other stylist and is great too. The salon is located in the Salon Republic on the second floor of this mini-mall. Appointment only. Parking: There are many free parking options as there is an underground parking lot. I have never had trouble finding a spot in the structure. Ambience: The salon is located on the windows side of the larger salon republic. There are nice bathrooms and other services that can be booked if you ask around. Service: They only have two stylists so you get personal service. They have wine and coffee available upon request. Both Melanie and Liana are pleasant and accommodating to all sorts of clients. Men, women and kids are welcome. Liana also reminds me that is time to get my hair done, I appreciate that. Did I mention how much I love her coloring and cuts? I also bring my kids here. read more

Studio 15 Salon is amazing. Melanie and Liana, the owners, are two of the most well-rounded and friendly stylists I have ever had the pleasure of getting my hair done by. I usually go to Liana, I have followed her from early on in her career and am so thrilled she finally has a place of her own! Both woman are equally talented though, and I would sit in Melanie's chair any day, I trust them with my hair. The salon is located within a great establishment called Salon Republic which is full of small studio salons. They made their studio space their own, its warm and inviting, and I have seen clients of all ages, and hair types come in and out of Studio 15 beaming with how great they feel about their hair. Liana is a parent and so she has a patience and way with young children to ease the hair cutting process for them. The prices are fair and competitive, they never try to up-sell you, they really listen to what you want, and they can do it all... cut, color, up-dos, extensions... everything! This is a cute little salon of 2 wonderful stylists! I've been going to Liana for about 7 years and she's incredible. She's a perfectionist which is great for me! A friend recommended Melanie and I am so pleased with the results! I've spent a long time searching for a stylist I can trust AND afford on a regular basis, and based on this visit my search may be over! Melanie took the time to listen to my hopes (and fears) about haircuts. She consulted me every step of the way, and did a wonderful job using the photos I brought as guides. For the past several months, I'd been growing out a really bad chop job, and was hesitant to lose any length even though the ends were clearly damaged. She was very careful about how much she took off, and successfully found a balance between what needed to be done and keeping the look I was after. She cleaned up and shaped what lingering layers I had, and I think it's going to look great as I continue to let it grow. Best of all, she was able to modernize my style without taking away my trademark look. My entire life, I've had thick, straight cut bangs paired with long hair past the shoulders. While I'm not ready to get rid of my bangs or my length, lately I've felt like this haircut was a bit child-like, and could sometimes look blocky if I went too long without a trim. Thanks to Melanie, I now have awesome V-shaped bangs and long shaped layers that make me feel grown up and bad ass! This is what I've been looking for and I never knew how to articulate it to a stylist before. She nailed it, and I'll certainly be back so we can maintain the cut! Pricing is accessible here. Base rate is $65, which was very reasonable for the amount of time she spent on me. She also offers free tough ups on my bangs between full services, which is a big plus for me. Other places I've liked seem to start their rates at $80, which is hard to justify every month, especially with tip on top of it. Studio 15 has some nice product recommendations, also well priced for the average income person, but never made me feel pressured to go home with a bag full of bottles. I can't recommend these ladies highly enough. In fact I know how quite a few friends coming there. I've been working with Melanie for years- she's seen me through hair donations, color changes, style changes, you name it. At this point I don't even have to tell her what to do, she just knows whats best for my hair. When i want to make a change she's always open, but won't let me do anything that will be unflattering. I never get nervous when we do somethign new for that reason- I know Melanie won't let me walk out looking silly. Both women are incredibly talented and really easy to work with. When you're doing hair color and sitting there for several hours, you better enjoy the people in the room with you. These ladies are a blast. I never write reviews as I see they're pointless, but I have been getting my haircut from Melanie far too long to not do so. (In all seriousness, I have been going to her since I was 14-years-old. I'm 20 now and have never had my hair cut by anyone else within that time. She is fantastic) She has perfected every new change I needed, whether it was a new fringe, new hair color, or making my transition to shorter hair absolutely seamless. Not only this, but the environment is great, tucked away in a excellent corner of Studio City. I'm always excited to get my haircut, even though each change makes me tremble with fear. But Melanie (and reassurance from the super awesome Liana) makes everything wonderful. It has gotten to the point where I just tell Melanie what I would like to do with my hair along with what I'm afraid of doing, and trust her judgment. It works every time. This review is long overdue! Liana has been doing my hair for over a year now and I can't say enough good things about her and about this salon. I originally found Liana to do Cadiveu Keratin treatment on my hair but I soon let her start cutting my hair as well and I was in love! I have weird hair that is hard to cut...super thick and inconsistently curly. I don't know how to make it look good and never seem to be able to communicate to my stylists how to cut it right, so I am always disappointed with my hair. It lives in a ponytail all the time and I try to forget that it exists. At the advice of several friends I visited Liana today for the first time and am so excited to feel excited about a haircut. She was meticulous and careful and creative and managed to intuit the solution to my hair "problem" without me saying anything except "please...fix it..."
