My hair is thin & fine-textured, which rules out certain styles. But Melanie really listens to what I'm looking for & always has excellent suggestions for my hair type. The color & cut are always exactly what I wanted. (And she never cuts my bangs too short!) I love this laid back, comfortable salon; and I particularly love my stylist, Liana! I have unruly, coarse, thick hair that most people find CHALLENGING. However, Liana always manages to color and cut my hair into a style that I find easy to maintain on my own. After each visit with Liana, I feel more attractive and better groomed than I did going in. This amazing color technician/hair stylist does her best to ensure that each client, no matter what they have done, leaves the salon feeling like a million bucks. Crystal wasn't judgemental or offended, and in fact gave me GREAT tips for doing color at home! Her cut prices are super reasonable for LA, especially relative to how good the cut is (it's GREAT). I'm going gray, and strategized a blending plan with Crystal and she's been moving me from dye red to natural dark blonde w/ highlights to blend the gray. She alleviated my worries in making the transition, and hasn't been overly pushy on pricey highlights. She did them in a way that I wouldn't need touch-ups/to get them done regularly, in fact. She also told me what toner/developer to buy from Sally's to tone my hair between appointments, which I really appreciate. I can't believe how much I love my (mostly natural) hair now! I understand how long it lasts depends on how often I wash my hair, but I only wash my hair 1-2 times a week. I'm very disappointed that I threw money in the trash. Also, she claimed that it doesn't smell and it smelled awful for the first month minimum every time I washed and blow dried my hair.
