She really listened to me about what I wanted. My roots are long now because it's been a long time, but I am not mentally ready to color yet. If I do, it will be with Cami.

Yesterday I decided to do something a little different from my usual cut. This was also my first time coloring my hair that didn't include buying a box from the store. It's hard for me to trust hair stylist because sometimes I feel like my hair has a mind of its own. So deciding to go back to Cami is a big deal for me. Cami listened to me and took time to talk through how the cut will go and also asked my opinion on things along the way. I absolutely love my color and cut. Que the circus clowns!…read more If you're thinking of booking with Lynn, save yourself the time and just box dye your hair while setting two hundred dollars on fire ... because that's exactly what you'll get from her.   Lynn did not even get close to what I asked for. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she said she could do it.  She told me she was going to tint my 'warm brown' ends with a 'cool brown' so they would match my dark roots and then she would lighten my ends and around face.  In the middle of my appointment she decided to bash one of her prior clients, telling me how she once turned a girls hair green and said it "wasn't her fault" while she laughed about it.  She also bashed another stylists client that was in the salon at another station because of her hair color. Continuously stating that she was "Going to H*ll" for her comments and laughed every time she said it. Very unprofessional. After she dried my hair she kept turning me from the mirror to take 'after' pics (which I never received) and kept saying it still looked 'a little warm'.  She told me while I exited to let her know if there's anything I didn't like.  I got in my car and questioned what I was seeing in the mirror. But it really didn't hit me until I got home and was really able to see what she had done. She made my hair brassy orange (See.The.Pictures) I messaged her and asked if she would fix what I was seeing. She said she would but that she would need to charge me AGAIN because she had already done a 'color fix' (um, what?!) and that I would need to wait a week to get back in.   With more thought and the reality of the situation, I didn't want her touching my hair again! Needless to say, I had to have another salon fix what she did to my hair.  When I asked Lynn for a refund she stated she "doesn't give refunds" and that she "stands behind her work and offered to fix it" (ahem, for more money). The new salon I went to had to perform several steps to fix Lynn's color debacle. When I sent Lynn pictures showing her what had been done, she gloatingly gave herself credit and said that she had "removed prior color that aided in the look the other stylist achieved". Yes Lynn, you are correct. If you hadn't messed up my color, another salon wouldn't have had to do a real color fix and change everything that you did. Not sure you should be patting youself on the back for that one.  Laughable. If I could give zero stars I would. Again, she did not refund any money for what she did.

Just before the new year I splurged to get a new look at a very fancy, very EXPENSIVE salon in the Pearl district and left that experience feeling defeated, used and looking like sh*t. I had just had another bank breaking major hair fail, and it was the final straw, I got home looked in the mirror and started crying. I spent several weeks "getting back out there" until I finally decided to give Christina at 360 Hair Studio a try. I am half Chinese half German with THICK, wavy, constitutionally dry hair. No stylist has EVER finished my hair on time during an appointment. It's always a mad scramble to get me done and out of the chair b/c the next unfortunate soul has been waiting. No matter how many times I've told stylist that extra time will be needed, no one ever believes me. My second appointment a month later was to correct the horrible choppy orange Balayage. Christina was like a seasoned PRO, foiling me up in record time, washed, toned, conditioned AND even fit in adding bangs to my look.... IN AN HOUR and a HALF! :-0 I was completely speechless! I couldn't believe my hair! Soft, straight, ashy light brown n soft blondes perfectly blended in with my medium brown hair. I grinned so hard all the way home cheeks hurt! Reading her reviews got me excited, and during our consultation, she explained her enzyme-based lifting process that avoids bleach and keeps hair health intact. She took the time to deeply analyze my hair, and set aside extra time during the appointment to adjust as she went since she was undoing months of box color and old faded highlights. Micha gave me a beautiful, lived-in, blended cinnamon chocolate balayage specifically designed to grow out naturally so I wouldn't need touch-ups every few months. She also did a dry cut using unique techniques I loved. In terms of final styling, I love a full bouncy, smooth blowout with a round brush, and am particular about the technique (needs to be sectioned out fully with each section pulled with a lot of heat and tension), so I did end up restyling it at home to my own liking, but that's just me. What she created with my color and cut though was exactly what I wanted. Beyond her skill, Micha is a true creative, full of spunk and confidence with the wildest stories. If you need things done a very specific way and aren't open to a creative approach, she may not be your person. But she knows exactly what she's doing, and you just need to let her do her thing. My hair was long to begin with and I'm shocked that she had an issue styling it the way I requested in the photo I provided. The cut looks nothing like what I wanted but there was obviously nothing I could say to get her to fix it while she was snipping away the excess inches. I'm so disappointed and I'm honestly shocked she had the audacity to ask me to pay for something this bad.
