She gave me a curly cut and charged me nearly $120. - I have wavy hair but sometimes straighten it - the layers in the back ended in the middle of my head and I couldn't straighten it for 6 months because it looked awful - it wouldn't lay flat and had a huge dip towards the bottom. It looked insane. - She cut so much from underneath my hair looked stringy on all sides when wavy and uneven on the sides if straightened. - Front layers around my face were completely uneven - I went to a different stylist and she pointed out everything she still couldn't fix and how the front "blending" wasn't blended, and showed where I had pieces that were still very short on one side and longer on another. After 6 months of growing it out. I work in a professional environment and got feedback from my manager that I should "spring for a decent haircut" after she cut my hair. This wasn't inexpensive at all. Emily seemed distracted and had mentioned that she relocated from a different salon in the city and hadn't brought any clients along with her. She is a nice lady but it is not professional, honest and borders on unethical for her to present herself as an experienced, seasoned professional and charge a rate appropriate for that skill level only to start the appointment late and completely ruin my hair for the better part of a year.

Excellent service | Friendly | Amazing hair color by Grismey…read more Grismey is a very experienced and professional hair stylist! I told her I wanted a natural brown highlight that maintained my previous color and she made me feel so beautiful by the time we were done! I don't know how she did it, but she blended my brown highlight into my natural dark black hair to compliment my skin tone perfectly. It wasn't brassy, not reddish, it is this perfect shade that looks natural and still beautiful when it grows out. I also enjoyed talking to her throughout our session! The whole process, from booking to styling my hair, was perfect. I feel so confident going to see her now for any of my hair needs. Thank you, Grismey!! *Shelby moved so I was referred to Grismey. I'm so happy she is my hair stylist :)

He immediately and excitedly said Britt was THE girl. His enthusiasm made me feel confident in her skills. I was exited and text her for an appointment. She asked me for pics of my hair and inspo pics. I sent my hair now and older cuts had. Also a few inspo/goal pics. Then I text her to confirm the appointment and checked to make sure she felt comfortable with short blended styles. (not a lot of stylists do these days) and then she said that because she's never cut my hair that she couldn't get it "perfect", and immediately cancelled my appointment without another word. It was very strange and rude. I never said she had to cut it "perfect". I said the inspo pic was perfect. So odd. Anyway, guess I dodged a bullet.

I spent weeks researching someone in the Portland metro area who could take on lifting my natural…read morelevel 2/3, box dyed hair to a level 6 rich brunette without hesitation, and found Micha. Reading her reviews got me excited, and during our consultation, she explained her enzyme-based lifting process that avoids bleach and keeps hair health intact. She took the time to deeply analyze my hair, and set aside extra time during the appointment to adjust as she went since she was undoing months of box color and old faded highlights. Micha gave me a beautiful, lived-in, blended cinnamon chocolate balayage specifically designed to grow out naturally so I wouldn't need touch-ups every few months. She also did a dry cut using unique techniques I loved. In terms of final styling, I love a full bouncy, smooth blowout with a round brush, and am particular about the technique (needs to be sectioned out fully with each section pulled with a lot of heat and tension), so I did end up restyling it at home to my own liking, but that's just me. What she created with my color and cut though was exactly what I wanted. Beyond her skill, Micha is a true creative, full of spunk and confidence with the wildest stories. If you need things done a very specific way and aren't open to a creative approach, she may not be your person. But she knows exactly what she's doing, and you just need to let her do her thing. You're getting a thoughtful perfectionist who will make you feel completely new again!

When I first visited her, she was the only stylist who could flawlessly create an asymmetrical bob for me before I moved away in 2017. Fast forward to 2025, and I returned to her for help correcting mistakes from previous stylists. Corey has been a lifesaver! Her honesty is refreshing; she will tell you if your vision won't work and suggest alternatives that actually look great. Not only is she a master at cutting, but she's also an exceptional colorist. She did my hair color for my wedding, and I trusted her completely--especially since it was just a day before the big day! Corey uses top-notch products and has an expert understanding of how they interact with my hair. If you're looking for a true professional who genuinely cares about her clients, look no further than Corey!

Whitney is absolutely the best hair stylist ever. I am so delighted that I found here (here on…read moreYelp!). I have been to her just once (time to go again soon) and she gave me a perfect cut first time out. The texture and fall of my hair had changed over the last couple of years due, I think, to heavy meds I was taking during a medical issue. The meds went but the soft waviness was gone as well, until Whitney! She is amazing, you can't go wrong... she knows hair, listens to what you say, and creates magic on your head!

You know when you really love your stylist and you don't think that anyone else will ever compare? That's where I was at. I searched Yelp to find someone close to me that knew how to cut hair for people with thick and wavy hair. I found Whitney and made an appointment. I sat down and explained that I wanted to chop off about 14 inches, and have a "wash and wear" hairstyle that was just above my shoulders. What she gave me far exceeded my expectations! She gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten in my life. Not only that, but she was full of energy and fun to be around. If you're looking for a major change, or just need a new stylist, I highly recommend Whitney.
