WELLLLLL, where do I start.... this is a review for RAUL - THE HAIR GODDESS. I was recommended to Raul by a family friend when I was looking for someone less expensive and closer to where I lived. I had been going to someone that I did love but honestly just couldn't afford anymore! I was paying $400 dollars each time to go before and it was far from where I lived. Also I was having to go every 4 months or so because my roots were growing back so dark and my red would fade to orange/blonde and just wouldn't look cute. I was definitely stretching between appointments which is why it looked like that but it was because I would have to save up! lol. OH ALSO time was another thing for me - it used to take 4+ hours to get my hair done and my schedule is NUTS so that was always really hard for me. My goal for a long time has been to try to get back to my natural hair color and not have to keep dying it so much/less upkeep, etc. I went in to see Raul for the first time and told him the whole story, he took a look at where my hair was at and had a perfect color combination idea and said we'd start off a little bit darker just so it could fade into my natural color and last me longer. What happened.... had me SHOOK. Not only was the first color he did on me really pretty but the way it 'faded' (which really isn't even the correct term because it like beautifully lightened very smoothly and slowly but NEVER looked faded) was AMAZING. It lightened with time but always looked SO PRETTY and fresh and it got to this PERFECT PERFECT dead on color of my natural hair, to the point that my roots were growing in and it matched PERFECTLY. I honestly didn't have to go back to him for 6 months!! Until I finally just needed a trim and even then the color didn't need to be touched! It was INSANE. Straight magic. Reds are SOOOOO hard to master and I still honestly don't know how he did that! OH ALSO it took less than half the time!!! Not only was that the best lasting color and the best red I've had, it was HALF the price!!!!!!!!!!!!! Basically it's too good to be true, except that it is. Couldn't recommend RAUL enough!!!!! GO. Raul. Raul. Raul. What a gifted, talented, and dedicated man. Seldom do you find a stylist with all of these qualities and Raul is a blessing to have all of them, and kind enough to take me last minute. I found Studio212 here on Yelp and was impressed with he ratings and the pictures while searching for a color correction. I just had my roots redone somewhere else and it was not what I wanted (to say the least). I called Raul's number the next day - literally around 630am and he picked up! While I apologized profusely, he heard the desperation in my voice and texted me to send him pictures of my hair. While he was busy that day, he said he'll fix me. Parking: Not a problem - tons on the street. Set your phone alarm though. Max 2 hours. Establishment: BUSY! There were 3 other clients when I walked in on a Friday and it wasn't even noon yet. Well, guess what, I wasn't surprised. Their clients can't say enough good things about them while I was there. They were also very hospitable. Raul's color correction: I almost gave up and I was going to take a store bought bottle dye and just go back to my natural hair color. Yeah. It was that bad. BUT RAUL IS JUST OUTSTANDING! His work made me see that I can be a "good" blonde! I've been orange this whole time until Raul. I am so happy with my hair. He knew exactly what to do, and boy did he deliver. I bought a Groupon voucher for a Brazilian Blowout at Studio212and boy do I have zero regrets in doing so! Ada did a WONDERFUL job on my very frizzy, thick, kinky hair. She paid very close attention to be sure to get every section of my hair as close to the scalp/root as she could get. She even went the extra step that I hadn't seen any other stylist do in the process- after the cleanse, she applied the formula and sat me under a hair dryer for the formula to penetrate (magic!) Then on to the blow dry, flat iron, second cleanse, and final flat iron. I am very happy with my hair, it is the best Blowout I have yet received. I will definitely stop hopping around with my Groupons for this procedure and stick strictly to Ada because I know she will always go above and beyond to keep my hair looking great. Whereas before I would have to spend about 20 mins on my hair each morning to touch up the straightness, now I can roll out of bed and just go without having to fuss. I met Errine years ago, she is the rare kind of hair stylist that know what she is doing. i have a thick hair and for years i didn't go for hair dressers, because of horrible experiences since i met Errine, she is taking care of my hair, she has an A M Z I N G cutting style. she always uses good products that doesn't ruin the hair. she always give me great tips on how to take care of my hair. The new salon in Sherman oaks reflects what she is, smart, sophisticated, modern and cool. I always LOVE to go there, every time i go i get special treat from Errine. she take one look at my hair and tell me what i need, trim, cut or even a mask.. also she is THE BEST inn sculpt massage... i can be on that chair for hours... every time i leave her salon , i get sooo many compliments from people on the street men and women. she mixes amazing colors and do amazing cuts... I recently visited Studio 212 over the weekend and I am so extremely happy with my hair; Raul is Amazing!! Seriously, I've never gotten the results that I got with Raul. He turned my natural boring hair color into this beautiful light caramel golden shade of blonde. All the girls at work love it; even the guys are commenting! This was my first time seeing Raul. I happened to stumble upon the Salon one night while I was out taking a walk down Ventura Blvd. It must have been around 10 o'clock at night, and he was in the middle of working on a client. Great atmosphere! Cutest salon everrr! My stylist was Ada, and Words cannot describe how amazing Ada is. I went to her after i went to this guy that made my hair turn green trying to make my hair blonde. She completely fixed his horrible disaster without breaking my hair. I cant go anywhere without being stopped to compliment my hair. She does my extensions as well and people dont even know I have extensions in because of how well she matches me. I have alopecia and it can be quite unsightly and embarrassing. I found Studio 212 to be very understanding of my condition and managed to give me some privacy during my visit. They were caring and really understanding to my need for privacy.
