Very happy I found Leslie through recommendation of a co-worker. Being new to the area, I scoured Yelp and social media for a good colorist. I didn't see anyone's highlights done as well as I wanted mine until my co-worker. I immediately asked her who did her hair and less than a week later, I had an appointment. Scheduling was super easy, and obviously with little wait. I had an amazing colorist at a hip salon in Chicago and was nervous about my first hair appointment in Louisville. Leslie was very welcoming from the start and understood exactly what I wanted while explaining how to achieve that. We had genuine conversation. I'm so happy with the outcome!! Only complaint is more about the salon space itself. I had never been there before and it was a little difficult to find just from Google Maps directions. The salon was a little untidy; cut hair on the floor of empty stations. The music over head was mellow, somewhat had break up songs interrupted by commercials. These are all little things that didn't really effect my experience. Overall, I am very happy with my partial highlight / balayage and definitely will be back to Leslie!! read more

Hi had a fantastic experience for my first time at Studio 3 Eleven Salon. I am new to Louisville, so I scoured Yelp to try to find where I should get my haircut. I called the salon one day, and they were able to schedule me for the following day. They put me down with Ryan, and I'm so glad they did! Ryan took time to talk me through my desired style and how it would work best with my particular hair texture. He was very nice to talk to, and the finished product was exactly what I wanted! He explained things to me that I hadn't realized before about different hair color pricing and strategies in case I want to do that in the future. Hello, my name is Whitney and I'm socially awkward. At 22 years old, I've literally had one person touch my hair through the years. When I started to look for a new salon, I was incredibly nervous. It took me a long time to make a decision. My friend recommended Studio 3 Eleven and I am thankful for her good taste! I made an appointment online through Yelp, and it was one of the best decisions I've made. Atmosphere is very comfortable inside, almost zen. Worth note: the sound system they use for the music is excellent (it calmed and entertained me). The moment I walked into the door I was greeted by an amicable, gentle woman who took my coat and introduced me to Morgan. Morgan was phenomenal! I felt like she matched my energy and was eager to understand exactly what I wanted. She took off just the right length and perfectly gave me the color I'd requested. I was nervous because I booked for a highlight and haircut (since I wasn't actually sure what the title was for the style I'd wanted). She kindly and quickly explained that the photo I'd brought was more of a balayage, so we opted for that style! I was very thankful she helped me in the right direction, because I needed it. For anyone who complains about the price: you're getting excellent service that you can trust for your hair. It's more than worth the price. End of story! The employees here just really seem to understand people. There aren't a lot of places that know how to master that amount of emotional intelligence. I am so happy I found amie! She is super awesome and definitely leaving me feel beautiful! I have dark asian hair so it's really hard to go light after one application. My hair has been previously bleach many times but never have it been the tone I want. However, amie used something amazing and it definitely left me where I want to be at. Just after the first time! Now, you might say omg that's terrible for your hair if she can get it like that after one application.....but personally, I don't think so. She took time and effort to make sure it didn't totally fried my hair. She did different type of treatment so it gave my hair lots of love before leaving the shop. The salon is clean and beautiful! Everyone is very professional and nice. Definitely coming back for round two soon! read more

There's a reason why this place has 5 stars all around, it's because they have such amazing customer service and they actually give you tips in how to maintain your hair. I got a last minute appointment with Liz and they all acted like it was nothing. Do you know how many places would have turned me down or not responded to me for scheduling so damn late?! They were able to set up an appointment for me on a day THAT THEY WERE CLOSED. You read that? THEY WERE CLOSED AND WERE ABLE TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR ME THE VERY NEXT DAY RIGHT WHEN THEY OPEN. After 5 years of living in Louisville I think I've finally found a good salon. The girl that did my hair was Liz and she really did give me a lot of excellent advice on how to manage my unruly hair. She even ran me through how to properly curl my hair which was highly appreciated. I sure as hell will be back. read more

I love having my hair done by Tonya. She is a sweet person and a great stylist. My hair always looks good when I walk out. I require highlights and a trim. If you want to be SURE your hair will look great, you can't go wrong here. The only downside is the price. Each time I pay, I am shocked by how expensive it is. Maybe I'm just poorer than I thought (or a cheapskate), but dang. I hate that I have to pay for a haircut even though it's just a bang trim and maybe a centimeter off the ends. I'm growing my hair out! I think the price is comparable to other places in Louisville, however. read more

I took a chance and chose this salon based on Yelp reviews vs. word of mouth. My stylist, Morgan, did an amazing job on making my hair so healthy and fabulous looking..goodbye ponytail! I caught myself swinging my new do whilest walking out of the salon. Along with some mad hair skills, Morgan is very personable and sweet. She was very helpful in helping me decide what style to go with and educated me on different coloring techniques and products without being pushy. read more

I've never had a regular hairstylist or even cut my hair more than 2-3 times a year but I am so happy with Tonya that I look forward to appointments with her every 6-8 weeks. I recently visited studio 311 for a massage with Rachel. I don't think I have ever felt more relaxed. The salon was empty and very quiet on this specific Monday so it was serene and peaceful. Rachel's expert skills were wonderful for sciatic pain and neck/shoulder pain. I WILL be making another appointment!!!!! read more

Amie is a talented and personable stylist and I'm glad she can fit me in with hardly any notice. The salon is clean, roomy, is a friendly and open environment, and thanks to its location there is plenty of parking. I'm a picky client, being a cosmetologist myself, and it says a lot when I return to a hairdresser. She knows exactly what to do and will keep your hair goals as a top priority. Losing my former stylist was tough...but I couldn't be more happy that it happened because it lead me to Morgan! Morgan is a wonderful colorist and stylist. Absolute worst color experience I've ever had! Requested a root touch up (not highlights) and Kathy highlighted my hair but did NOT touch my roots. I paid over 100$ to not have my roots covered. It looked absolutely horrible, and upon asking for her to fix it, she bleached my hair in a rush to close and sent me on my way. After the highlights and bleach, my hair was dry and damaged and began to split. I had to cover this ridiculously expensive bleach job with box dye from the grocery store because it looked awful. SO DISAPPOINTED! read more
