Microwave a plus. Good size in room safe. Friendly and helpful front desk. Breakfast included in the price for all rooms. Never bothered. Free parking. At around $160/nt, a bargain. Not getting nickled and dimed with resort fees and other amenity charges a plus. It's not the casino / megaresort I usually call home but as a business person hotel, this one exceeds expectations.

The rooms are super clean, you get a ton of amenities: air conditioning, a refrigerator in every room (some that even have a little freezer, big screen TV's (some rooms even have two remotes that includes a special remote for specialty (mainstream) channels, free WiFi, free parking (you read that right), great well maintained ice machines on every other floor, free tea and coffee, great and always well stocked beverage vending machines that only cost 1$ - $2 - with pure orange juice, V8 juice, different cold teas, and several different brands of high quality water in the vending machines, all for only $1 to $2. Free breakfast (every morning) with your choice of one of three choices: American (scrambled egg, toast or bagel, bacon or breakfast sausage, breakfast potatoes, and a little salad on the side. Or, you can choose the Asian breakfast Binto box, or, the new Curry bowl for breakfast. Kleenex and ice buckets are in every room too, and ample towels and a bath mat. The bidets in the bathrooms are a very nice extra, and you can set your toilet seat to 'warm'. Comfy! There is also a (clean) laundry room with (new) washers and dryers, and a Fitness Center (but I didn't go in, so I can rate it). There's a big swimming pool up to 4 1/2 feet deep. There is a very nice covered patio in the front of the hotel and an additional big patio area, both right across from the front entrance to the hotel lobby. The plants and foilage and plants look good. New Gardena Hotel offers a Conference Center (but I didn't go inside so I can comment on it), and a great restaurant with Japanese foods and some appetizers, beverages, and probably wines. It was nice that they also had unlimited miso soup and rice available and the portion of food provided was a good amount. Outside seating was available, which made it good so that we could make sure to stay safe from sicknesses Was happy to have free garage parking and the complementary tea was nice to have in the lobby. Of particular note was that there are a lot of younger guys staying at this particular hotel that appeared to have parties (drinking?) happening in the rooms nearby and would linger around outside of the lobby hanging out. They didn't bother us and were not super loud but they did end up showing up in the hallways and such here and there.

I specifically asked twice to make sure my company card on file was being charged, and I was assured both times that my personal credit card would not be charged. Later, I noticed a pending charge on my personal card, so I called the hotel to confirm that it was only a temporary authorization. I was again told that it was temporary. Unfortunately, the charge has now posted to my personal credit card statement. Between the bizarre check-in process and the mishandling of the payment, this was a very frustrating experience. I expect a hotel to get basic things like check-in and billing right, especially after a guest has specifically confirmed the payment method multiple times. I would not recommend this hotel, and I will never stay here again.

People just want a 5-star hotel on a fast-food budget it seems, but this served every purpose I needed. And obviously no insane charge for mandatory valet on-site parking, which some high-end hotels use to charge more per room. The room itself is great. The location is not a fancy neighborhood obviously, but I've seen the Four Star Sheraton by the airport has some horrible reviews. This motel itself is awesome after having to compromise so much with my dogs with me. There's AC, plenty of parking, it's close to the 405 (main north-south) freeway, there's a mini fridge, a shower, good wi-fi, and a nice bed to sleep in. And it is as safe as it can be in California as it's video monitored. It was clean as well. I happened to lose my phone during this whole scenario and front desk was kind enough to try to help me find it.
