I've been looking for a new haircut to help me look younger, and prepare me for a new job I begin this week, and today LEANN LAWTON made that happen. I showed her a photo of what I thought would look good on me. She only saw the picture one time, but tha was all it took. My hair is AMAZING, my color is AMAZING, oh and she gives the best rinse and shampoo I have ever had. I can't even do as great a job as she did. It felt sooo GOOD I didn't want her to stop. The staff here are really nice but the services just aren't very good. I've gotten lashes here and was disappointed with how fast they fell out and noticed only 70% of my lashes actually got extensions on them after I paid for a full set. Just recently went again for highlights and a trim with layers. The highlights are coppery but I could look past that, it's the cut that's unfortunate. It's uneven, choppy, and not what I asked for. I mentioned that I need it long enough to tie up for work but it's too short now. Unfortunately I won't be trying them again. read more

Really pleased with my two visits. I first went in for my own cut, always a little hesitant since I had not found someone I "loved and would return to." I made an appointment with Katy and showed her a few photos. She's so down to earth and does an amazing job! She takes into consideration your everyday routine and adjusts according which I really, really appreciate. I took my 5 year old daughter a few weeks ago. It was her first real haircut (she's only had her bangs trimmed when she was an itty bitty thing from home). She was so nervous but Katy really helped make her comfortable and even curled her hair like she wanted. And of course, the cut is awesome! No reason why I would give them any lower than 5 stars. I've been there twice and had a great experience both times. The staff is the sweetest and it's such a nice environment. The first time I went to get my hair dyed by Shelby, I didn't know what I wanted exactly so I let her play with it and it came out better than I expected for such an AWESOME price. Everyone loved it and wanted to know where I got it done at. They don't rip you off and they don't do half ass jobs. Second time I went to get my hair cut, and I went with Tenaya. I had long hair and had a sudden urge to chop it off & we started up slow, but she kept with me and we cut my hair inch by inch. Just moved here from Sacramento and needed a salon for a cut and color, so I checked Yelp. This salon had good reviews and I had seen it in passing, so I gave it a try. It was fabulous! I wasn't sure of what I wanted. I just knew I wanted something different, and that can be really scary when you have long blonde hair. You don't want to leave feeling bald or looking like a peacock. Jesse had great ideas! My color is very different, but not 'OMG! Who's this chick?'. She did lowlights, base blocking, and toner. Then, shaped my bangs around my face and shaped the back. I LOVE it! My husband LOVES IT! AND...I was not gouged or pressured to by a bunch of products. Just the opposite! She came up with a plan for the next couple of visits, to do some highlights next time. Horrible experience! I needed Jesse to do a root touch up on my blonde (level 10) hair, tone it and give me a haircut. I had gone to her previously for a haircut only and I liked that appointment so I went ahead and booked my second appointment with her because she wanted to do my color. I went in, after the pandemic ,so I had some growth. What I asked for was very simple so I thought someone with so many years under their belt would have me in and out. Boy was I wrong! I get inside and we talk about what I need and she gets started. She goes in the back mixes my lightener and I got nervous because its that really strong blue bleach, I have colored my hair for over 18 years and study cosmetology so I know professional products. She puts the lightener on and its hot, she sticks me under the fan thats blowing full blast at about 200 degrees, frying my hair and scalp! She left me under there for 30 min! While she disappeared in the backroom and never even checked on me?!?! I was livid! She takes me to the bowl to rinse and my scalp was on fire! She puts the toner on and it burns my scalp even more! By this time Im so pissed and in pain, I have no clue what shes thinking! She mixes up more toner and tells me shes about to have me walk out with yellow roots. I was like no your not! She fried my hair off! Then she charged me $120!! WHAT!! She did NOT do what I asked her to do! I had dark roots when I left and looked no different! I didn't even notice my hair was broken off until I got home and was above to actually see the major damage that she had done! all of my hair at my crown, plus the entire back of my hair was broke off!! I went from shoulder length hair before going to 622 Salon to a mega short pixie cut to even my hair out it was so bad! I spend months and months getting my hair back to a healthy state. I will NEVER go to another salon in Yuba Sutter ever again!! I shouldn't have paid her and that was my mistake! So learn from what happened to me and never pay someone that does that to your hair! She was totally negligent and that could have all been avoided! read more

DO NOT SEE MEGAN at Studio 622. (DISCLAIMER: This review is not about Studio 622 as a whole. This review is only about their employee, Megan.) I had been a long-time client of Megan's. She does an amazing job at nails, and she is especially talented at nail artwork. Every holiday for the past few years, she did my holiday nails. Over the past year, she started doing my nails on more of a regular basis. At my last nail appointment, she mentioned that she was going to be cutting back on her nail clients; however, she still scheduled my next appointment and a special appointment for her to do my 8th grade daughter's nails for graduation. During my last appointment when she was telling me that she may cut back on her nail appointments, she reassured me that it wasn't going to happen right away, and we were even talking about nail ideas for Halloween. Like I mentioned, she scheduled 2 more future appointments. I remarked on how disappointed I would be to lose her, but when that time came, I would wish her the best. The day after she did my nails, I contacted her to tell her that 2 of my nails were peeling for some reason. She had me come in right away, and she fixed the 2 nails. The next day the other nails started peeling. I contacted her, and she couldn't get me in over the weekend. I texted her over the weekend to give her the heads up that I was hoping she could see me on the upcoming Tuesday. I messaged her that Tuesday morning, and she said she didn't have any openings that day or the next day. I asked if I could see someone else at Studio 622, and she told me that no one else could see me because if I saw anyone else, I would have to pay them. She told me that she was booked solid that week, and she could text me if she had a cancellation. Throughout all of our message exchanges, I went out of my way to be nice by offering as many solutions as I could all in an effort to solve the problem of my peeling nail polish. She offers to refund me my money. I tell her that she could keep the money and maybe we could use it for our next visit. All of a sudden, she tells me that she is cancelling my next appointment, and worse yet... she cancelled my daughter's 8th grade graduation appointment for the following week. She abruptly tells me that she won't be seeing me anymore. I plead with her not to cancel my daughter's appointment because it's special for graduation. I asked her if I could just see her for the holidays. Nothing I said or did mattered to her. She refused to do my nails anymore. I know Megan is talented, but I believe because she knows she's talented, she thinks she can afford to lose a client here and there. Regardless, no one should be treated the way she treated me. I just can't understand how she could be so unflinchingly heartless, especially when it came to my daughter's graduation appointment. I don't understand how anyone could treat someone the way she treated me. While I was her nail client, I had heard rumors of this type of behavior and how she had "ghosted" past clients because she didn't feel like dealing with them, but I refused to believe the rumors about her until she treated me and my daughter so wrong. My advice to anyone who is seeing Megan right now or to anyone considering her as your person, be careful. She does not know how to handle people in a caring, considerate way. For anyone who doubts this review, I have every text message to back up everything I've said here. I debated as to whether or not I should write this review, but ultimately, I decided that if I can save one person from her unprofessional, inconsiderate treatment, then I've done the right thing by sharing my experience. read more

This is a very clean salon with a great mix of salon artist. Prices are a little high. Atmosphere is a little high school but not bothersome just a little awkward when you hear the artist complain about clients on the floor to each other. My salon artist has since moved salons but i guess it's a nice salon to go to, they take walk-ins. read more

I took my 15 year old son to jessie to perm just the top of his head, sides have a fade and line up. I returned to watch her finish the worst perm I have ever seen. Absolutely NO curl and fried my sons hair! If that wasn't bad enough she cut about 3 inches off and shorter in the back than the front. I watched her try to put mouse in his hair and try to "scrunch" it to look like curls, news flash, that doesn't work. My daughter paid her $70.00 to have my son tell me she told him it looked better than the picture we had shown her of the style that was requested. I called the next morning and conveyed how horrible and unsatisfied we were and requested a refund and at that point she attempted to try and speak to myself and the other beauty consultant I am working with as if we did not know what we were talking about, when that did not work we were avoided all day until we made a second trip to the salon, then were received a return phone call from the manager (which we told at the beginning of the day there was no manager) and we are to come in on Saturday to work something out. There is nothing they can do to fix my sons hair at this point. I have taken pictures of what Jessie did to my son and I would not recommend anyone go to Jessie for any hair style, perm, haircut or even shampoo! I went to get my hair colored about a couple of months ago, all I went in for was to get my hair bleached and dyed, it took 3 days to get my hair to a color I didn't originally want. When I left I noticed there was stilly dye on my scalp and that they hadn't completely washed the dye off of my scalp. The reason I give it 2 stars is because the girl was nice to me but other than that the service was bad. read more

And said they would call back right away and let me know if they could find someone to take me. An hour later I had to call them back. Nothing. I stopped looking and have been going to her ever since. She has a really awesome personality and does a great job cutting my hair each time. She's also lots of fun to talk to. I had a facial last month and Rachel really made a difference. She cleaned out my skin and remove a lot of breakouts, blackheads and small pimples i had in my face. i've been to many other salon spa and this one might not be as luxury and big such as Headlines Salon Spa but she did a very job here . And it only costs $50-60 for an hour treatment. My skin felt smoother and softer the day after. Ive never seen my skin this clean. I love that she has a special machine to close up pores and kills bacterias , which was totally new to me and introduced to me for the first time. She uses Skin Script brand and offers you to buy her products but she is not pushy at all, she even provides you with nice samples. Lastly, she gives you recommendations on how to take care of your skin , she takes her time and answer any questions you might have after a treatment and is not in a rush for you to leave. She makes you feel very comfortable. This place was more than what I was expecting . I just love getting facials with Rachel. read more

I had heard great things about this place and decided to schedule an appointment for acrylic nails. It was the most horrible experience. I walked in and stood there for a good 10 minutes while the ladies in the back stared at me. I finally decided to tell them I had an appointment with the nail technician. She then told me she would be with me in a few minutes. I waited another 20 mins. She took me back and I told her I wanted a simple design (ombre style). When she finished they were horrible. The nails were uneven, some were thicker in spots. The ombre was a total failure. I was embarrassed to walk around with these nails. Paid $50 for nails that looked like a student had done them and had 2 nails break at the tip throughout the day. I had to take them off that same day.Never Going BACK.
