I've gone to Olga for facials for about 8 months now, Rhonda for my hair for about a year and Di for my silk wraps for a couple of years. So finally I found a salon that was willing to do it, the site for wigs for kids and locks for love are not too helpful nor very updated.... so while I was on vacation visiting my best friend in LA I went to David Douglas and had Nicole take a wack at my hair. Nicole did an amazing job, she was so nice through the whole process so friendly. I totally would recommend going to her, and she does it for free when she could have charged me the regular price!!! This is a long overdo review for Jennifer's electrolysis. I found her off a Groupon and was happy that her prices were reasonable despite the deal. As someone who suffers from PCOS, I had a lot of raunchy facial hairs. This has decreased dramatically in the last 5 months since I started electrolysis, which is a better option than laser hair removal, albeit more time consuming. When I moved to Huntington Beach I needed to find a new hair stylist and one of my friends recommend I go to Colby. I was nervous to go to a new stylist because I'm picky about how I like my hair but I am glad I went to her because I was soo happy with the turnout. My hair was damaged from over bleaching and it had an ugly drugstore color in it and I really needed a change. I gave Colby a vague description of how I wanted my hair to look and she totally nailed it! This review is for Andilene (Andi) Teran. After my stylist of 5+ years moved away, I needed to find a new stylist. I stayed at her salon for a while but wasn't happy with the new stylist because every time I left, it looked like I already had 1/2 in. of dark roots. Then a friend recommended I go to Andilene at David Douglas salon in Fountain Valley so I gave her a shot. I'm so glad I did! I'm not super picky about my hair, but when it comes to my highlights I like them thin and nice and bright, and you definitely shouldn't look like you have dark roots when you leave the salon! I felt like Andi really listened to what I asked for, and she even suggested I do a partial instead of a full so it would look more natural. Not only did that save me money, but it ended up looking much better and a lot more natural! She did a great job with my cut, too. I will definitely keep coming back to Andi, as she is a doll and easy to talk to and does a great job on my hair every time. As for the salon, it's nice, easy to get to, and everyone seems friendly. OLGA is the best esthetician! She knows how to treat your skin with blemishes, dehydration, or anything that needs TLC. Her European accent is just darling. She has years of experience that I completely trust her with my skin. She waxes clean, efficient and painless. What I like that she adds at the end of your facial, she gives you a nice back massage! I would go back to her every month because she takes care of me and I'm hooked! Go see her, she's available for appointments on Tuesday to Saturdays. Finally I found a hair dresser I can trust! I get my hair done with Tiffany Loe. She is amazing!!! I previously shaved the side of my head and she helped with suggesting hair styles so that my hair wouldn't look funny as it grows out. I've gotten multiple services done (extensions, hair dye, hair cuts) from her and I am always more than satisfied with her work. She is very friendly and makes sure you are always comfortable. One note is that she will not work on your hair unless you are completely sure about what you want done. My family and I have been going to Alaina for the past couple of years. She's great for the whole family! Mom gets cut and color from her, as well as men's haircuts for my little brother. I NEVER write horrible reviews but I feel I have to warn others ....I decided to get a big loopy perm by Kalee a few months ago and I'm still dealing with fried and I mean fried ..dead hair that I don't even have to cut because it breaks off daily still... I started with hair down to my bra strap and as of today my hair has all broken off to a very short look way above the top of my shoulders and keeps breaking!!! I hate this my hair looks and feels HORRIBLE ... I can't even put my hair in a ponytail anymore!! first off I think she had never done a perm before as she wrapped my hair in tiny rods because I don't think she had big ones like I asked for.. so why not just tell me right there she could not do it.. since I hadn't had a perm since the 90s the first thing I told her was my biggest fear that I didn't want to end up with a 1980s frizzy perm which it exactly what I got but worse!!! My hair is so dead it's beyond words.. i'm pretty sure it's going to continue to break off until I end up with boy short hair which I'm absolutely furious about!! I took great pride in my long hair and in fact I've always been known for my beautiful long hair by my friends and family ... But not anymore!!! Because I have to deal with this daily and people asking me why I keep cutting my hair I'm just still so I'm angry about it...Plus I paid her really good money for this horrific experience!!! Not to mention the hundreds and hundreds of dollars I have spent on deep conditioners hair masks, oils anything to try and make my hair stop breaking or feel somewhat not fried!!!
