When I go to the salon its normally on a Monday and not alot of people are working. So the Salon is very quiet and peaceful. Its a fairly large salon compared to other ones that I have been to in the past. They offer lots of services which I haven't tried yet such as Massages, facials, manicure and pedicures, someday when I have extra money I might just try one. Valerie has been cutting my hair for over 10 years. Her prices for a haircut and blowdry are very resonable. She has always done a great job cutting my hair. She has gotten quick and can cut my hair in a short amount of time while carrying on a conversation with me at the same time which is a plus! She gives me good advice on how to help keep my hair healthy and will recommend how much we should trim off to achieve my goal length for my hair. The waiting area is a little small and awkward ... but like I said I usually go in on a Monday and they aren't busy and I dont usually have to wait very long at all! read more

I've been here twice so far for eyelash extensions. Not only does Janet do a great job with the lashes, but she's so friendly and down to earth. She helps to make the time go fast with engaging conversation as she's "doing her thing", that before you know it, you have a beautiful set of natural looking eyelashes on. I am so happy with Alaina!! She did a wonderful cut and style for not only me, but my husband and daughter as well!! She takes the time to listen to what you need as the client and will be very honest in her determination of what's best for you. I am happiest with what she did for my eight year old daughter who is very sensitive in the scalp, and had thick chlorine damaged hair. Since her hair cut, my daughter looks and feels great about herself. It's also much easier to get her ready in the morning!! I've received many compliments on my hair since my haircut as well. After reading the review from Mona, I am compelled to also write about the service I have received from Olga. I purchased 4 microdermabrasion sessions and have yet to receive any type of microdermabrasion service from her when I go in. The only thing I have gotten is a 15 minute facial from start to finish. She then tries to sell add on services for something I have already purchased. I have had other microdermabrasion facials at other salons that last up to an hour and are so relaxing, I would never recommend this place. She starts off the facial by saying the cleansing cream may sting, it does! Definitely not a relaxing experience. read more

I went to this salon to get Electrolysis by Jennifer Combs. I got a Groupon at an amazing deal so I was excited. I got electrolysis on my face and chin. It was horrible! It was very painful, very time consuming, and left small scars. I did 4 sessions in total but stopped going because it did not even reduce the hair growth. There was absolutely no difference. I eventually just got laser in the same areas and that actually worked with no pain or scarring. I would recommend that instead. read more

I found out about this place from a friend whose haircut I was admiring. This David Douglas location offers other services such as manicures, but I have only been there for haircuts. My friend and I use Kerrin who is a freelance hairstylist (I believe all of them at DD are). She's really sweet and does a great job cutting hair, especially creating subtle layers on my long straight hair. I don't dye my hair, but I've heard (from the same friend) that she's really great with color. I believe each stylist charges her own rates, and Kerrin's are affordable. It isn't super fancy inside, but it's clean and they stylists seem to do a good job. read more

I went to the salon years ago, but recently returned when my all-time favorite hair stylist moved there. George is just fantastic-- I always walk out with a great haircut, or a color weave that gets compliments every time. The salon is beautiful and bright and always seems full of friendly people, but spending a few minutes with George brightens my whole day. He is a strong Christian man with a great sense of humor AND a wonderfully talented hair stylist. You can't go wrong by asking for George. read more
