What a rip off! This place has the HIGHEST gas prices around at $5.06 for premium unleaded. I stopped here only because I was an idiot and running on fumes however I only pumped one gallon to get me to a more reasonable station. My low oil indicator light was on and my car was making a growling noise. I didn't have time to take it in and get it serviced but I needed something done quickly to help my car. I pulled in to the station and the guys looked at my car and told me to put in oil. They didn't charge me. They were so nice. The manager told me to give the oil mechanic a tip which I did. Now look I know it's just a gas station comma with a convenience store. So why would I take the time to review anything here? Well I'll tell you why cuz they're just nice first off I pull up to the gas pump and there's a gentleman cleaning the floor and sweeping up the leaves from the trees which they I have in between the pumps. Well that's nice he greets me, and I thank him for keeping the place snicker-snack. I go inside and what a roomie convenience store. You can walk in walk around pick up what you want and you don't feel like you have to go sideways down the aisle to find what you're looking for. I like that too. Then the cashier has a good sense of humor, and is quick and polite, so I asked you what more could you ask for with a gas station and a convenience store. The man at the register refused to let me use the bathroom. I was getting $70 in gas and popped inside and asked for the code for the restroom, which he straight up said I couldn't use. But right after, he gave a random male costumer the code. When I questioned it, he kept repeating I couldn't use the bathroom. read more

I just want a good mechanic near my house that is working with me to do the most important work on my car and save what we can for later. My car is 300 thousand miles old and I love her even though she is rough around the edges. Nelson was right .... the mount change made a nice smoothing out of the clunking and I feel he's honest. He said the struts could wait. A comfy old car is so beautiful..... Dents don't matter. You can relax in it if it's messy. No one wants to steal it and no car payments. Yea I was nervous about such a big job but she purrs now just like when she was 200 thousand miles young haha! read more

Studio City 76 - Gas Stations Near Me - Studio City, California

Avoid this place like the plague. Several years ago, they did some "work" on my car - way overcharged for a brake job and then messed with my water pump. A couple days after I left, my car started making a horrible noise and instead of going back to them, I went to my regular mechanic. He reached into my engine and asked who had been f*cking with my water pump. He said it was incredibly loose, as if someone had deliberately loosened it. I returned to the 76 and complained, they refused to take any responsibility. I opened a BBB claim against them as well that ultimately went nowhere. These guys are shady as hell and not to be trusted. Avoid. read more

Pulled in as I have for years and while preparing to get gas I politely "attempted" to ask the attendant sitting in a chair between the gas pumps if he would "please check my fluid levels". He raised his hand as if to silence me and said "we only check fluid levels at full service with a 20 gallon minimum. Its a station law " WTF ? Needless to say we will not be returning. read more

DISCLAIMER: I don't know how their mechanic shop works or anything other than the night attendant and that is what this review will be based on. Earlier tonight I was on empty and when I say empty the orange lights were on. I tried to pay with my credit card at the pump and for some reason it wouldn't take my zip code so I went inside and told the attendant. He kept insisting it was an ATM (it wasn't) when I told him it was a credit card he still insisted but this time he asked me for an ID so frustrated I said "What is wrong with people!" still I went and got it for him. He looked at it and said "ok now go to the pump and pay" I told him "it doesn't work on there". He decided to tell me to go somewhere else when I reminded him that I was on empty so I didn't know how he expected me to drive away. Again he suggested I used my card at the pump. I was so upset of how miserable and petty he was being, especially knowing my fuel situation. That I did call him a jerk when he proceeded to yell at me and dropped f-bomb after f-bomb telling me I needed to gtfo. I was very lucky that according to my gauge I had 6 miles left before having to thumb it. I drove further up Coldwater and found another gas station. Where surprise the attendant was very accommodating and polite and he took my card. I rarely take things like this to heart but this guy was complete and total bastard. Just because it's a gas station doesn't mean customer service should go by the wayside. The good thing? I will never under any circumstance go there even if they offer me free gas, free wash or free snacks no siree not never! The great thing? So, this is my first review on Yelp, and what better place to review than my favorite all-time mechanic at the intersection of Coldwater Canyon and Ventura. My father and I have been bringing our cars here for something like 15 years, and with good reason. The head mechanic here is named Nelson and is probably the most honest mechanic you'll get to meet. No price gouging or "oh this is gonna be a big job"/ "this part is hard to find" mumbo jumbo. These guys are upfront and decent. I very highly recommend making this your car's go-to location from now on. read more

The guys working at this gas station are bunch of crooks. I pulled over to put gas not seeing the small sign in the side of the gas station that mentioned Full Service/Self Service and after I was done putting the gas I realized I had paid $1 more per gallon using a full service pump even though I didn't even use any of those services. I called them right after and a guy said come back and talk to us. I came back to the location and asked the two guys inside (Shawn and another chobby guy)to issue me a refund for the difference which was $12 and they refused to give me. Shawn completely denied my call and said they haven't received any calls! I told them I would call the attorney generals office of CA and will file a complaint and they said:" ma'am do whatever you want to do". The old mechanic responsible for providing full service offered me $12 from his own pocket which I didn't accept but he begged that he might get fired. So sad:( I don't care about $12 but it's about principles. I wouldn't even give this place a star. They are greedy and expensive and no manners! read more

When I moved to LA and needed car work I was worried, especially as a female who doesn't know much about cars. I have had my share of being taken advantage of by high costs and extra unnecessary fixes. A friend referred me to Nelson and he is the best! I am so thankful to have someone like him in LA. I have since moved to the west side and it is worth fighting traffic to have Nelson look at and fix my car. For convenience I've taken my car to a Big O closer to me and in comparison to Nelson they always overcharge and never do the work with quality care. Nelson is very honest and trustworthy. He's busy often because he's a well known mechanic and good at what he does. After an accident he referred me to a body shop and they gave me the VIP treatment because Nelson referred me. I'm a 13 year bi weekly customer. Was not allowed to use the restroom today unless I bought something. We now have to get the restroom code off the receipt. So I was getting gas, had to wait until the code appears with on the gas pump screen then go back inside & use the restroom. The employees wouldn't open the restroom for me since I was just getting gas. Stupid. I understand not wanting non customers using but they've seen me regularly for years. My family and I have been going to Nelson and his team for almost 25 years now, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. He always does a phenomenal job quickly. He never performs unnecessary services (unless they are requested), and even will explain budget-friendly short-term fixes if they are safe and will tide you over until you can afford a full repair. He also will let you know several visits in advance if a major necessary repair is coming up and how much it will cost. He kept my 1996 Civic running like a charm, and once even did a minor repair for free. I trust his expertise so absolutely that I even called him for advice on buying a new (used) car. It's taken me quite a while to get around to writing this but some time ago I had starter issues while at Coldwater Cleaners. I walked to this service station. They had not long before sold me last minute tires, at a good price and instantaneously installed. I would give 5 stars if the first mechanic who was asked there could have been bothered to help (he could not) but another ( I think the manager) Vic jumped in his car, drove me back to mine, got the starter going and later installed a replacement. I have been using this station for years for servicing and repairs. They are the most honest ande reliable people I know. I have my daughter take her car in also and they have been instructed by me to do whatever is necessary to make sure that the car she drives is always safe. They have never failed me or her and have never done any repairs that were not indicated or approved by me. Although they seemed very busy, they took my car on the spot for its smog check. Nelson, the mechanic who helped me, told me it would only take 20 minutes and it didn't take a second longer. It's on the corner of Coldwater Canyon and Ventura, and I started coming to their full-serve when I broke my ankle last year, and ... well ... never stopped because I LOVE their mechanics (had tire repaired) and full-serve techs. They are very helpful and honest. And ok fine, I'm very lazy now for going to full-serve but it's truthfully because I love the guy that's there at full-serve pump. read more

This is the place to go for auto repair. They have that rarest of creatures, an honest mechanic, who is great at what he does, can diagnose a problem quickly and accurately, and has never screwed us over. They always remember who we are and are polite and welcoming. It's a bit of a drive for me, but completely worth it. After making the mistake of going to a national chain down the street out of convenience, I now realize how fortunate I am to have found these guys. read more

NOTE: I have never used the repair shop, only a gas patron. I always go to this gas station, it is a great location, and really close to my apartment, as well as the 101. Multiple times I have seen patrons pumping gas, while using their cell phones. It is common knowledge that you DON'T do that, ever. Today I was pulling into the station, while finishing a phone conversation of my own, and pulled up to an empty pump. There are 8 pumps, 6 self serve and 2 full service. I was on a important call with a family member on the east coast, and sat in my car for 15 minutes at the pump to finish my call. I am always courteous and aware, and in this situation I was sitting at a pump...but not pumping gas. There were 6 open pumps, and during my time 3 cars came in and out. Of those three cars 2 of them, women, got out on their cells phone (shoulder to ear style) talking while pumping, with no regard to the possible danger they could cause themselves, and others. As I was about to finish my conversation, while sitting in my car, the full service attendant came over to me and rudely told me, "You cannot sit here all day, pump your gas or leave. Why don't you can go sit in a spot, not here all day" I was dumbfounded. I was literally just finishing my call, and why are you rushing me? If I had been holding up other patrons, waiting, to pump gas I could understand him asking me POLITELY to move until I was ready. I never write yelp reviews and complain, but this man was so rude to me I just cannot believe the way he spoke to me. I told him I am finishing my phone call, and as you can see I am not holding anyone else up, but there is no way for you to speak to me that way. He proceeded to say I was sitting there for over 30 minutes and needed to leave, that I could not do that. Since my gas light was on, and I lived two blocks away I got my gas and left. I did mention to the clerk how rude he was, in my eyes, for no reason. It is not always about what you say, but how you say it. Again I stress I watched two patrons using their phones while pumping gas, isn't that a cardinal rule of what NOT to do? Things like this matter, the way we treat each other, and unfortunately because of the way he spoke to me I will not being getting my gas from here anymore. If there was a reason, a valid reason, i.e.: me holding up other patrons, me actually sitting there ALL DAY, or me smoking while pumping. I could've understood his sense of urgency, in asking me to move. There was no reason for him to be a complete, and utter Jerk to me. I can imagine if he has treated other patrons that way, they probably won't be back either. read more

Came into the convenience store and was verbally assaulted by the man behind the counter. He said that I had come in before and not bought anything. He acted like he knew me although I don't come in there often and I've never seen him before. His attitude was irrational and I never came to any conclusion as to what I was being accused of. I was forced to leave because he was acting crazy, and I had planned on buying a couple of things that day. The whole thing makes no sense to me and I can't grasp why anyone would ever treat a customer this way. I will not be shopping there ever again.
