First-time visitor to this mall, and I really enjoyed my visit…read more Some of the big names in the retail world have stores here, which was a nice surprise. Stores such as Apple, Aldo, The Gap, Banana Republic, Bed, Bath & Body, Bloomingdale's, Coach, Express, Hollister, Macy's, Vans, and many others. The mall is a good size, very clean, and well-maintained. The food court was extremely clean, comfortable, and somewhat fancy-looking, with plenty of tables, benches, and chairs to sit and relax throughout the mall. Friendly employees can be seen cleaning throughout the mall, assuring that this place is kept as spotless as possible. Free parking is available both in the parking garage adjacent to the mall and in non-garage parking on the east and south sides of the mall.

It was truly disgusting. I've complained this time and last time this happened (homeless man in one of the nursing stations). There should be security in the corridor, especially given that it is right next to an outlet to riverside drive. Westfield, you need to care more about the families and women supporting your establishment!

As a shopping center staple of the 818 it's an "OZ" like hub of some of my favorite haunts in the Los Angeles Valley... Residuals, a great divey bar for liquid courage, in the corner of this shopping ceneter and Drip & Roll, the brain or rather brain freeze you didn't know you needed with non-dairy options as well as many classic curds but more so whey like frozen desserts. The parking lot is fairly easy to navigate and usually you'll be in luck, however as more businesses shift back into running at some larger capacity for indoor and/or outdoor enjoyment... Street parking is always your friend and there's plenty of it! Get your haircut, your back kneaded, your nails did and maybe a tattoo via the famous Studio City Tattoo just next door to this perfect plaza of local small biz enjoyment. Don't forget to fuel up at many choice food spots as well like Sushi Dan or Tortas Mexico or my choice pick My Vegan Studio. Many more small businesses just next door and beside here with a big public transit hub for a more green day and central to tons of spots and conveniences... What more could you want!

There was Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Jim Carrey even stayed hours after he needed to until he had spoken, taken pictures, and signed books for every single person who had waited in line for him. However, after the COVID pandemic they've noticeably stopped coming. Still, The Grove is a nice place to visit because it is so polished and touristy. There's the dancing fountain, free trolley, movie theater, shops and restaurants. Meanwhile, The Farmers Market is right next door, so you can easily walk there as well. It's a good place to kill time. Some stores are a bit on the pricey side, though. The trolley is a bit silly since the ride is so short. It takes longer to wait for the trolley than to just walk from one end of the mall to the other. It is a free novelty, though, so if you have nothing better to do, might as well. Recently, there was a parade and festival at LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) and I noticed several other people like me walking from there to The Grove since it's only around a 20 minute walk up Fairfax Ave. I think people decided to walk since parking at LACMA is $23 no matter what and we didn't want to pay it again. Parking at The Grove isn't cheap either, but it's easy and convenient since it's a huge multi-story parking garage with digital numbers that tell you how many spots are available on each level. My go to restroom is at the top level of Barnes & Noble, but there's also one at Farmers Market. The views of The Grove from the upper levels of Barnes & Noble are nice. There's also an onsite cafe on that level. Meanwhile, this Barnes & Noble is apparently one of the biggest in the US. Around the holidays, they put up one of the tallest Christmas trees in the US. They hang flying reindeer and a sleigh above the dancing fountain. They also put up a Santa house in the middle of the street where you can take pictures with Santa for a fee. One of the changes I didn't like around the dancing fountain, which is one of the few spots with trees and shade, is that they roped it off so that it became outdoor seating for the restaurants whereas before it was open to anyone. Even though I don't live near here anymore, I still end up visiting every now and then because of nearby festivals. At this point it's so familiar to me that as another reviewer had said "It's an LA staple."

Of course the main focal point, the water fountain and little park. There's plenty of parking in the massive covered parking structure. There's also valet at the lower level which is easier in my opinion. You can also park where the farmers market is but they have their own validation system. It's a pretty decent size shopping area which is all outdoor. The main department store which is Nordstrom and then you'll have all the other smaller chains stores. Plenty of dining options, more on the dine in style. If you're looking for something quick and easy, there's the farmers market a couple minutes walk. Of course there's the movie theatre which is great. The whole grove concept is similar to the Americana which is larger. Dining options, shops and of course the fountain. It's a staple in LA that's worth checking out.

It has a lot of different types of restaurants, a gym, Burke Williams (massage parlor), a movie theatre, that's huge. Unfortunately some of the places have been shot down like Frida, that used to be El Toritos before, Starbucks that is VERY IMPORTANT to some people, (not to me), plenty of other Starbucks's on every block is no longer there. Cheesecake Factory, along with so many other eateries, a snack shop, along with Buffalo Wings, P.F.Chang is still there. I am not going to name one by one what's there and what's not. All I can say is that everyone over there starting from the security guards are nice, helpful and friendly. It's a big structure based on 3 stories. Same goes for parking. Yes, I agree with some of the Yelpers that the foot traffic has diminished a little bit. That also depends what day and time of the week you go there. I was there on 6/17/26 around 12:10pm and there were a lot of people everywhere. Bad: mall is split up with streets running through it, parking is expensive, extremely limited number of stores to actually shop at, majority of stores are located across the Laurel Grove Drive which is quite a walk if you parked in the main lot in the middle of the complex. I only went to Daiso, Five Below, Starbucks because those were the only ones you can shop at in the main part of the mall which is unbelievably weird. It's like this mall had an identity crisis, couldn't figure out if it should be more of an entertainment center (movie theater, restaurants) or shopping center (Daiso, Five Below, Nordstrom Rack). Many vacancies, alot of random stores that you wouldn't go to unless you had or needed to like Spectrum, nail & beauty salons, orthodontist, chiropractor, Verizon, Carbon Health. The main part of the mall is Nordstrom Rack, Starbucks, Daiso, Five Below, LA Fitness. Gnomon (computer graphics, visual effects school) & Regal Cinemas take up the majority part of this section. There seems to be no thought to what a mall shopper would want or wish to go to when they arrive to the heart of a mall. On the "strip mall" area which is across the street and around the corner, there are Ulta, Trader Joe's, mostly cafes, quick bites like Jersey Mike's, Crumbl, It's Boba Time, MOD pizza. Again, only Ulta for someone looking to do mall shopping. Although this mall is modern, clean, great parking structure (expensive but lots of spaces), there's absolutely little to offer. Would I go back?? No way! This is an incredibly disappointing shopping center & if you're hoping to do some retail therapy, go to Sherman Oaks Galleria or Westfield Fashion Square.
