I was referred to this place after complimenting a coworkers beautiful brows. They've always done fabulous work, better than expected. I didn't even look this time. That's how much I trusted them. Some girl did the sloppiest work. My brows are not symmetrical in any way, and she left gel on ONE BROW. This is worse than being consistently bad. Raising expectations and failing to meet them, when I have an important meeting in hours, unforgivable. If you recognize the person inside, they're good. If some stranger is there, you're playing eyebrow roulette. This cannot even be repaired. I'm just screwed. And I trusted them. read more

Went in for an eyebrow threading, and came out with perfectly shaped brows! Usually when I have gone to other places, it tends to hurt a lot more but I did not experience that here! I was basically in and out within 10 minutes. The person that helped me was very nice too! I have been driving from Alexandria to Eyebrow Design Center for years and unfortunately, I don't think I will be going back after my experience yesterday. This studio seems to have very high turnover and I wasn't surprised to walk in and see all new faces. However, I was surprised when I walked out with half of my left eye missing. The woman who did my eyebrows was clearly new as she was having difficulty holding the thread. I later found out she was in "training." Someone more experienced should have been watching her while she was working - maybe that would have saved my eyebrow. Very, very disappointing. On top of that, their costs steadily keep rising (which I didn't mind paying when they did a good job). All together, it is a no for me. I'm going to let my browns grow back (hopefully they do), and find a new spot. read more

Good not amazing. This place is fast and affordable. Most of the time their technique is great and I like the way they thread. Every once in a while someone new is working and they're a bit too rough. Normally there is only one person working but they go fast. I would replace the couch though because it's visibly dirty and when there is a wait I don't feel comfortable sitting on it. The space is decently clean and tidy but not the nicest which is a reason for the lower rating. It's also really hot in there in the summer so I would suggest a fan or something small just to circulate the air if there is no ac. read more

I had eyebrow tinting and waxing done. The tinting looked no different from when I came in. This was not my experience when I went to Aveda so I will return there. The waxing was done poorly - I had to trim my own brows and tweeze stray hairs when I got home. I don't recommend this shop. read more

I have gone here for at least 1-2 years for eyebrow threading and they typically do a great job. And I have even left a great Google review. However, when I went in October, the person working seemed like they were in a rush, did not wash their hands or use hand sanitizer prior to working on my eyebrows. It's not the first time I've seen a lack of using sanitizer before working on my eyebrows after finishing with another customer. She was also working on eyebrow tinting with someone else while working on me, and grabbed a thread from the bunches of used threads hanging on her to use on me. Either way, it wasn't a comfortable, sanitary feeling. Again, no problems with the actual threading work itself. But it just didn't feel sanitary/professional. This used to be my spot but yikes- stay away. Last visit I had uneven eyebrows and today after asking for just a "clean up," but to keep shape and length I leave w so many stray hairs above eyebrows and at ends. I asked for a fix to clean specifically the additional hair remaining above my eyebrows and honestly she made it worse, and acted confused about what "clean" eyebrows should look like. read more

TL;DR: Cheap, good, painless Came here with an appointment, but didn't seem like I really needed one. This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded, and she gave me direction as needed to hold my skin taut. I was told my friends that threading hurts a little more than waxing, but I thought it wasn't bad at all. I will say, she threaded my eyebrows a little thinner than I would have liked. If you have something specific you want or don't want them to do, I suggest being very vocal, or else they will just do what they think is best. Worst eyebrow boutique. I said to the woman doing my eyebrows three times, Just clean them up. I didn't want any shaping whatsoever, just a clean look, as I loved my natural shape. I left this place with uneven arches, and when I showed her how they were uneven, she stated I had "gaps in my brows". I walked in at 11:26 AM, and she was done with my eyebrows at 11:30 AM. Four minutes to do someone's eyebrows? Unheard of. I just wanted her to clean them up, and now I have to go to an event tonight with the ugliest eyebrows I've had in my life. I've been here before, but the girl who's done my eyebrows before I guess it doesn't work here anymore. I felt so rushed, and she ruined my shape. Beyond disappointed. I've been going here for about 2 years or so now. There are two ladies who work here and depending on the day, you could get either one. Both are quiet yet sweet and for the most part do a great job. HOWEVER, I get frustrated because one of them thins out my eyebrows no matter what I tell her. I will spend WEEKS growing them out and when the other woman does my eyebrows, they look fantastic and I literally get multiple compliments on them. Then, I'll come in to get them cleaned up and the one that thins them is there and boom, they're razor thin again and I have to start all over. I really want to keep coming here because I absolutely adore how the other lady does my eyebrows and both of them are so sweet, but I'm frustrated because it's always a toss up of who I'm going to get that day. read more

I was so excited when Shradda texted me that she finally had open her new store. I have been going to her for years and find her to not only be professional but very warm and friendly. It is rare to find an eyebrow technician that does not feel compelled to do something of their own on your face. She actually listens and KNOWS how to arch/sculpt eyebrows. I have been coming to eyebrow design center for almost 3 years now. I have had 3 different ladies do my brows. The first one is very quick and only thinned out my brows half the time. The second lady was my favorite and never messed up my brows. I just recently went after not going for almost 2 months, but I cried after seeing the result. A new lady (third lady) took off the entire front part of my eyebrow and told me that it was already like that, when it was not when I walked in. She made my eyebrows so thin and uneven and spent 3x as long doing my eyebrows than normal. I am giving two stars instead of one because I've only had one HORRIBLE experience and over 15 good experiences. This one horrible experience has traumatized me and I will not be coming back until I find out whether the second lady still works there. read more

Thank goodness for Eyebrow Design Center! My eyebrows were in need of some care and attention after I grew them out for a bit post-waxing butchering. I was across the street at Lowe's buying leaf bags when the storefront caught my eye. I quickly looked them up on Yelp and was not disappointed! I went on a Saturday and my designer, Susmita (sp?) took great care of me. I came here due to the good reviews and though my eyebrows look even with a nice arch, she was very rough compared to other places I have been to. When I came in, there was only one lady it seemed. When threading, the string broke twice and just felt painful. There are some left over baby hairs that she missed and didn't get them. I am not sure if I would go back personally. read more

The staff was very unfriendly. My eyebrows are not thick and has been a while since they have been threaded. So they needed a little bit more work.
