Not only did she deliver a gorgeous hairstyle that made me feel beautiful and bridal, but she showed the kind of grace, patience, and kindness that every bride (and any average person) dreams of during such a chaotic time. I was 30 minutes late to our appointment--I was her last visit of the night, and I felt terrible for running behind with all the last-minute wedding errands. But instead of stress or judgment, I was met with total understanding. Her energy was calm, uplifting, and exactly what I needed in that moment. She even stood by my side as I called my tailor about a last-minute issue with my dress, and advocated for me on the phone. That's the kind of heart she has. She didn't have to do any of that, but she did--because that's who she is: thoughtful, supportive, and just an incredible human. Yes, it is a long and very sad story. Anyway, the children, especially the four year old girl, were very sensitive about their hair. The girl only allowed her father and a day care director to touch her hair. She had been traumatized in the past. Nonetheless, the children immediately felt comfortable in Tina's marvelous salon, which is more decorated for Halloween than most elementary school classrooms. Tina offered the children candy and was exceptionally kind and patient as the boy chatted, and chatted, and chatted. Sharon Brown, a terrific beautician, trimmed the little girl's hair, and the girl's smile grew larger with every clip of the scissors. She complimented the child on her large dark eyes, previously hidden by an unruly mop. The child beamed. Next the boy sat down, slightly anxious, but quickly assured by Tina. I purchased a voucher or coupon through Groupon. I was nervous about going to a new salon. I love…read moremy old salon, but I wanted to try out other services in the area. I received two reminders via text leading up to the day of my appointment, which I appreciate. When I walked in, I immediately noticed the cleanliness and chic look of the salon. The front person welcomed me and notified the hairstylist I was there. I did not wait long. I met with hairstylist Natalie. She was great. I went in for a haircut, blow-dry, style, and conditioning treatment, but I also asked if she could touch up my roots and tone down my hair color. She looked at my hair, and we worked out a plan. Because I was asking for additional services, she was not able to do both, so I had to prioritize what I needed to be done first, which was my hair color. I should have told them over the phone about my additional service needs. As Natalie worked on my hair, she always kept me in the loop as to what she was doing and made sure I was comfortable. I asked about the toner process which she explained, the science behind it. I learned something new. I also liked that she had a nice hair style for herself. I don't trust hairstylist who can not style their own hair. I was served some hot tea (I was given 3 options: tea, water, and wine I think). When it came down to styling my hair, she asked me what my preferences were. I walked away a satisfied customer. I will be returning to use my Groupon voucher later this month. Attitudes is my new favorite place to get my toes looking cute, and their services gift cards are my new favorite go-to gift for friends and family! I bought my mom a gift card for Mother's Day, and Katie worked both of us in quickly for side by side pedicures. My mom has vericose veins and hammer toes and a few things that make her embarrassed to have anyone handle her feet - Katie was so gentle and did not allow my mom to feel self conscious at all. She is still talking about the treatment weeks later. Can't wait for our next visit!

Stick with a day spa or other place where there are designated nail people. The person who did the pedicure was very nice, but the polish was not applied correctly and there was minimal filing. I was left with oil all over my legs. And I don't think I have ever been to a place that cuts the cuticles. It increases risk of infection and they should ask beforehand, even if they choose to do it. The website explicitly says that cuticles are pushed back. Cuticle work was not great in other spots. One and done.
