We contacted them about two weeks before our wedding--the panicked point at which we realized we wanted to look good dancing our first dance as a married couple. (Note: I advise contacting them much, much sooner.) Thanks to their patience, good humor, and most of all, their SKILL in teaching the non-gifted the basics; we made it through our first dance very well. In fact, we actually got compliments from many of our guests on how well we danced. What I like most is that the spouse and I now have a new, social, active hobby the two of us can pursue together. My experience with The Next Jennaration has been wonderful…read more I live ten hours away so viewing the recitals each year has been nothing short of perfection. The students so clearly love what they do, and work so hard. You can sense the feeling of togetherness from the audience and you can hear about how their teamwork, hard work and chemistry pay off with the many many awards, scholarships, choreography awards, appearances on live TV shows (Dance Moms, America's Got Talent, Live Streaming of the Battles) and many other awards that this group brings. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to work the front desk for 6 months this year and I could not believe the family atmosphere that the studio has. The office manager (Miss Vonnie) is always ready to meet everyone with a smile and kind, helpful encounter. The owner (Miss Jenna) brings a passion and love for the studio that is second to none. You will find her in the studio 99% of the time with the dancers, and when she is able to come out to the lobby she comes out with an energy showing how much she loves the students and working with them. The teachers have mostly grown up in the studio (Miss Deja, Miss Jessie, Miss Katie, Miss Taylor) and became The Next Jennaration Family and give back to the younger dancers by transitioning their role from team member themselves, to teachers. Other primary instructors (Miss Maria, Miss Jodi) have been training students since the opening and bring the best energy and a technical knowledge that brings everyone to another level. Miss Jodi even trained Miss Jenna when she was younger! :) The students have so much fun with dance and the social interactions that the studio brings. The students work so hard every time they get the chance to be in the studio. Outside of the studio, they are doing fun things to better themselves and the world. I started dancing with Miss Jenna was I was six years old at summer dance camp, in 2005! I still remember that first day of that camp when I met Miss Jenna and the other dancers, I knew I found my forever dance family. As of four years ago, I was given the opportunity from Miss Jenna pursue my summer internships at the dance studio. This is something common you will find at TNJ, as the staff consists of alumni, like myself, that have so much love and admiration for Miss Jenna, other staff members, and the current dancers. To be able to show our passion for dance, that was first founded at the same studio, to the current dancers is one of the greatest opportunities I have experienced here. When you step through the door you are always welcomed with the most warm and energetic presence from Miss Jenna, the staff, and of course your dance friends. The atmosphere in the studio is something so incredibly special. The level of energy, positivity, and appreciation from one another is so strong you can not help but feel loved when you leave your dance class. He was very,Very friendly and got to know us on a more personal yet extremely professional level. He was patient and always willing to answer our concerns or share tips and advice. Where most studios only offer 30-45 minutes per lessons,we got to enjoy an hour and a half of personalized instruction at a very great price. I won't lie I was feeling kinda sad leaving his studio after our last lesson, but we are extremely satisfied customers and guests enjoyed our first dance! Three wedding over next 2 months. So I always wanted to learn ballroom dancing so we ask 2 other…read morecouples to join us in learning to dance. They went to this studio years ago. I met Donna and she is a very good teacher and dancer. We started with the popular hustle. Donna has created multiple patterns and calls the moves as she teaches them. It is at times difficult to follow with three couples but Donna really is quite good at this. I am slow to get it all but with practice I know my wife and I will do great. The studio is very spacious and has two dance floors. They floors are great for dancing and there are mirrors in both walls to view how you look. Parking is in the garage by sears and most of the time no one is there. The price is reasonable at $25 per couple per hour. She is flexible and will accommodate your schedule. She takes walk-ins and has dance nights with DJ and live bands. Oh and bring cash, she doesn't take credit cards. All in all this has been a lot of fun and we have had a blast with our friends. The instructors are skillful and offer great explanations. The founder's (Allison) passion is evident. She makes every effort to ensure the space is safe, welcoming, and fun. The best part is the social dancing afterwards. Everyone is so inclusive and friendly. We have met many friends through this group and now we make it a point to go to every event they're hosting. The first day when I pulled up 15 minutes early my 6 year old was already waiting in the parking lot for me. She had taken the wrong class and gotten out early. No one noticed she was in the wrong class and no one noticed her walk out the building or her waiting in the parking lot area alone. Then on another occasion she was dared by an older kid to go outside naked she did and again no one noticed a her go outside even naked. I should have known better than to let her be there on her own shame on me I won't do that anymore. The parking lot is muddy a large part of the year that's hard on shoes and vehicle interior. There's no large viewing window. There's a window in the door you can look through but you risk getting hit by the door, being in the way and other parents are also trying to look through the window. The cost is about 85$ a quarter and the class is about 40 minutes long once a week we did a recital of the Nutcracker last winter it was performed at Cayuga College. The Spring performance is going to be Wizard of Oz. This is a revision review as the owner did call me today to introduce herself to me and also to address these issues. She also let me know I had the cost wrong on my old review I fixed it now to reflect the correct price.
