We had a really good experience with Dino and Christian. They made us feel comfortable which showed when we saw the proofs of the photos after we left. We really liked that the studio is very clean. From the moment we walked in the doors everyone was so welcoming. Dino was our photographer for my daughters Senior pictures. He was amazing. He took his time, made sure every piece of hair was in the right place and her necklace was centered, shoulders back, chin up etc. You name it he made it all perfect. Usually I have to do all that and it was nice to see he cared about her photos as much as I did. As a nice surprise her proofs came the next evening. What an amazing turn around. And the Yearbook photo they chose was the exact one we would've chosen as well. They also did my others daughters photos a few years ago and the service was exactly the same. This seems to be the place all local high schools are using for the yearbook/senior portraits. Making an appointment was easy. If you have to reschedule, that's easy too. The photographer was super professional. Our experience is much better than any other school photo. The photographer fixed my daughter's hair or arranged where her arms need to be to ensure that the gown wasn't pulling or wrinkled. Sitting fees are set. You pay for each sitting - even for the 1 pose the yearbook needs. You pay additional sitting fees per outfit change or per pose. It will get pricey. Packages are also expensive. If all the photos look good, I will probably end up spending $400+! I'm sure the pictures will all look amazing. read more

They are thieves sorry to say. I'm very upset. My kids had senior pictures at their high school. Pictures didn't turn out great but that's not half the problem. My twin children drove themselves to senior portraits. First time taking themselves after obtaining their drivers license. Very exciting for all. They got back and my son said he had to pay for the pictures and he paid something like $160 after picking the cheapest package. I said why did you pay for a package? I wanted to see how they turned out before deciding. He said he was told to pick a package and didn't know he had the choice to pick none of them. He felt bad and said I didn't have to pay him back. I'm not a shitty mom so of course I gave him the money back. Note, they were together so they told me the same story. They even discussed the situation because my daughter thought my son wouldn't have that kind of money on him. But unfortunately he did. No receipt given. Shocker. Fast forward one school year. They emailed me asking if I wanted buy senior portraits. I emailed back saying I had paid for portraits but did not receive the pictures. To my dismay, they respond that what my son paid was the sitting fee of $30 and would I like to buy portraits now. I'm livid. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. I reached out to the school principal and told her what happened and they should never use this company ever again. She agreed. At this point I don't care about the money or the pictures. I just want this company to go out of business and go away so they can't do this to anyone else. Unbelievable that this could happen. Update: they called to say my son was confused and that he paid some $70+ total, and maybe that's why he thought he paid $80 each. I said both my kids said the same thing so I don't think that's correct. She said she's going to refund the sitting paid for both kids. I said fine but I'm still not sure she's correct and that my kids were wrong or lied, and they should not be asking minors for money to take high school pictures. Ask just the parent. read more

I don't like this studio and the way they operate. My sons school use this studio for the photography and I'm so disappointed at the way the studio handled coming to the school taking photos. 1. We wanted to see the photos and approve of the ones we wanted (yes we were paying.) we were told we had to wait until they were emailed to us. We were extremely disappointed in the photos for the yearbook. We wanted a refund and not use their photo and was told we couldn't get a refund although we didn't want to use their photo. 2. All of their attire is out of style (which I'm glad we had our own.) their clothes look as if it's still the 1400's. I'm sure Abraham Lincoln wore them. 3. I never signed up for their emails and now receive non stop advertising from them. Leave me alone! I've unsubscribed five times. My son had his senior portraits taken here. We chose 3 outfits, suit, cap and gown and varsity jacket. Their was a studio fee up front. Our photographer was Christian. He was very nice, helpful and had a lot of good energy. My son and I really liked him and definitely recommend him. We had a 2nd photographer take his varsity jacket pics. He did a great job as well. The only thing I didn't know that I should have done was ask for the packaging prices before hand. They were pricey but I chose 5 poses and the digital files with basic touch ups. Senior portraits time. Usually you take your senior pics at your high school. We had to drive to the studio instead which I thought was inconvenient. The location is a little tricky to get to so look out for the Sierra Business Center. They are located in the back right corner off Sierra Lane. Fortunately, the service made up for the drive out to Dublin from Concord. Check-in was easy and quick. We were directed to the dimly lit but comfy waiting area. Afterwards, we were off to his own dressing room with mirror. The lady gave my son the shirt to wear under the tux. Funny how they velcro the back of the shirt for a perfect fit. And you wear a pretend elastic sleeve on one arm with cuff. Oh the magic of photography! After a short wait, the photographer introduced himself to us and lead us into one of their photo rooms. My son was then fitted with the tuxedo jacket. I like how the photographer took his time with my son. He tried to get the best angles and made the photo session very relaxed and comfortable. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. And we were emailed the proofs the next day. This studio is very organized! read more

They wanted to charge me $130 for a digital image of my son in his cap and gown after I already bought over $200 worth of photos..I bought the hard copy of the photo but they said it was against the law for me to use it. I spoke with Paula the manager and she was extremely condescending and aggressive. I do not recommend this business. They are a photo mill just trying to get your money. They rush you through the photoshoot and are not very friendly. read more

I am happy with Studio One for my daughter's Senior Photos. They provide all the necessary information in advance - preparation tips for the photo shoot and all the pricing information for the photo package options. The packages can get pricey, but you have workable a la carte options. I think the sitting fee is very reasonable, especially considering the time and outstanding service involved. They have an excellent studio with quality gear and a good choice of backdrops. The staff was friendly, and our photographer, Alicia was fantastic. She never rushed us, gave us all the time we needed, put our daughter at ease, gave her lots of tips and support, and was super at having her smile naturally. I do take lots of pictures of my customer at my business and I make sure every detail is covered. They took pictures that clearly show hair in the backside of the head sticking out and did not even bother to correct it. They don't let even my son check whether the pictures came out good or not. Had my senior pictures taken here and they were SUPER nice. The first photographer was very patient and fixed my hair for any strays or baby hairs. The second photographer, who took my cap and gown pictures, also made sure my hair looked good and that I was positioned correctly. The cost of packages are ridiculous and way over priced. Especially for the terrible service and pictures that can't be used or sent out to family and friends. They should hire professional photographers that actually know what they are doing. These pictures go in yearbooks and a lot of the kids and families at our school are not happy how they all turned out. The school needs to go find another photo company and fire this one! read more

Space: They have a pretty big studio and you can't tell from outside view. There's two people working in the front, a waiting room for photos, rooms for getting ready (when taking photos) and then diff rooms for diff photos. Service: They have a super friendly staff and they are great to work with. I made my senior portrait order in July and got my online proofs a week later. It came super quick. I did not order my photos until November but they came early Jan. I know it is my fault for ordering so late but my friend and I ordered them the same day and time but she got hers 2 weeks before me. It seemed a little weird to me that on the same day our orders (same collection) came so much later. I even went in to check on them because I wasn't sure where my photos were and was trying to give them out before Christmas. Price: SO EXPENSIVE. When you go there to take your proofs it costs about $30 but if you want to do more sets it costs more. I think my first time there I paid $50 for just taking photos. When I bought my senior portraits I bought collection B ($270!!!). This is crazy expensive especially since they don't give you a digital copy. I am unable to keep any of my photos without paying an extra $100 which is so disappointing. Notes: The lines always take forever and I don't know why they don't know how to work faster. We had an excellent experience with Studio One taking senior portraits this week. I didn't know what to expect, especially with covid, but they had great process in place to adapt their photography to health requirements. They spaced appointments out, there was one other family taking while we were but the studio is pretty big, so we only saw them from 6 ft away in the dressing area. I felt like we were not rushed at all and they paid attention to little things. We took the formal yearbook photo in one area and the photographer did things like have my daughter's pendant taped up higher (from the back) so that it would show in the photo and took his time, using a mirror, to have her place her hair perfectly. He made her at ease and was able to get a really nice, natural smile out of her. In fact, the first two photos were our top two pics. We opted to take the "fun" cap and gown shots and these were with a different photographer and in a different setting (this studio has a pretty nice variety of backdrop areas and props. We took quite a few poses with different props that they had on hand and then my daughter changed into her own outfit and we took informal photos. Again, had choice of multiple backdrops and the photographer brought in some props. He overheard me mention volleyball and produced a white ball to take some shots. We never felt rushed, pushed and they made my student feel really relaxed. I was super pleased with the results. The whole appointment took maybe 45 minutes and I was surprised to get the proofs email the next day with over 40 pictures! I had a hard time choosing. My only wish is that they had a proof package so I could keep them all. We agreed with the yearbook suggestion that the photographer made and I was able to easily order additional prints that I expect in 4-6 weeks. There were some gorgeous idea portraits - if you child is an athlete or has an instrument or something that defines them, call and talk to them. I am considering them to take outdoor photos of my senior. read more

This place is modern day highway robbery. Unbelievable expensive, It cost $25 to take the senior portraits to be feature in their year book, seems a bit high, but I can live with that. When the portraits package came, I was shock. I thought I must be reading it wrong. A single photo ( ala cart) is $55. You got to be kidding, 1 picture costs $55, ( in this case I was looking at 8x10), but even the 5x7 ( 2 pic/sheet) is about the same, so basically, a sheet of pic is $55. With their $25 setting fee plus just one picture would cost more the the year book itself. Were the picture quality exceptionally good? NO, don't get me wrong and just to be fair, they were not bad, but not that good that worth $55 a sheet of photo. Picture people, JC Penny or even private photographers, can deliver same if not better quality photos then this place. I know few private photographer who offer mini photo session for only $75-$100, and you got to keep many digital pictures. I am begging people out there, if you're involved in school committee, please stay away from this company, please think about your students and their families when making these sort of decisions. There are plenty choices out there. read more

YOU HAD ONE JOB. ONE. JOB. I'm extremely disappointed in this company's photography policies. They were hired to take photos at my brother's high school graduation. About a week after the ceremony, I was emailed a link that encouraged me to check out the graduation photos and to offer an opportunity for me to review and purchase any that I wanted. However, to my surprise, his photo wasn't there. I scrolled through the entire list 3 times to be sure, and even had my sister and boyfriend check as well to make sure I wasn't crazy. At this point, I emailed the company asking them to confirm that all student photos had been uploaded (giving my brother's name, high school and graduation date just to be sure) because I couldn't find his photos in the list they had sent out. Their response? "If his pictures is not there, it may be one of the photos that did not turn out. If a student blinks or the face is not visible for any reason we do not post it to the website. There were also some students who forgot to stop and take a picture." I'm sorry. What? I thought the company had been hired to document the ceremony and capture a moment in these students' lives that they aren't going to be able to recreate. It should be the photographer's responsibility to stop the students in order to get a photo, not the student's responsibility to remember to stop -- especially during such a special occasion. So I have to wonder -- do your wedding photographers also need the couple getting married to stop and tell them every time they want a photo taken, or can they be trusted to be more self-directed? But I digress. Definitely upset, but attempting to stay reasonable, I responded and asked if it would be possible to see the photos that didn't "turn out" in order to see if I could find my brother's photos among them. Their response made me want to punch a hole through something. "All pictures that do not turn out are eliminated. Again, we apologize if me missed him." So. What you're telling me is that, since either my brother wasn't stopped to get his photo taken or his photo wasn't up to your "standards," our family now has no professional memento of his graduation. I'll bet the other parents are LOVING that explanation also. Especially when photos like this are available for purchase (http://bit.ly/1BBKtwy). Want to explain how that got past your standards check? This is so completely unacceptable. An apology is not going to magically make me forget that your photographer(s) didn't do their job. And while I understand that it's the memories that count (and our own personal photos with friends and family are worth more to me anyway), it's the principle of the situation. Countless families were relying on your company to document an important moment for them -- and you let all of us down. Apologies don't even begin to make up for it. read more

My daughter is a Senior in High School. My daughter just turned 18. My life is changing dramatically in front of my eyes and thanks to Studio One, we will have photographs to commemorate this time. This is the photography studio that the high school requires all Sr's to go to to have their yearbook photo done. There is no requirement to do any other poses or to buy any pictures. We decided to have my daughter do a special cap/gown session as well as just the yearbook head shot. We chose the yearbook picture on the spot (who knew the digital world was so different than circa 1989 when I graduated HS). We were told it would take about 3 weeks to get the proofs for the other pictures (it actually took longer) and I am just getting ready to put in our order for pictures as the photos turned out better than we could have anticipated. There are other Photography Studios used by the other high schools and with friends of mine telling me their experience not being nearly as positive. I am glad we had a good time and it was relatively painless as well. read more

This place is a joke. You would think since photography was their business that they would take professional pictures. My son is a senior and we just spent $300 on senior photos. He also plays football and spent $35 on football pics. The photographer should have took a professional picture. Instead she just took the picture while my sons bright blue shoulder pad is hanging half way out the sleeve. His shirt was raised above belly button. Thankfully my son was wearing a black shirt under that helped kinda blend in with the jersey. Upon Inquiring about the poor pic and judgment of the so called professional photographer, the manager insisted on it being a great picture and tried to say that kids now these days do that and or take pics with mouthpiece, etc.. instead of the photographer verifying with my son as to if that was his intention, they didn't care, rushed and took the picture. The manager after trying to blame every one else other than taking ownership for the poor job, offered to for me to return the package for a full refund. Which defeats the purpose of me even ordering to begin with. Second option was to inconvenience myself, take time off work just to come into the studio and retake the picture that should have been taken correctly the first time. At that point there was no Sense in arguing with the manager since she didn't comprehend. The correct thing to do would have been refund me at least the individual picture and charged the team picture or refund the package since I'm unhappy with the picture. After all I had just spend $300 on senior portraits. What's $35 to them? They make plenty of money since they are overpriced anyway. Clearly the customer doesn't matter. Choose to take pictures elsewhere.. there are plenty of other actual professional photographers that do care. read more

I'm surprised by the reviews. We had an excellent experience with my sons senior portraits. I loved the studio setup. Very nice relaxing waiting room. The dressing rooms were a cute, nice surprise and great touch. They had everything! Hair spray, gel, nail polish, nail polish remover, extra shirts and more. Joel took my sons photos in his personal clothes and with his rugby attire. He was open to suggested poses too. He took at least 3-4 different poses in each outfit. Then he passed us on to Lina who helped us with the cap and gown and tux photos. Lina was also awesome. She was very personable and professional. Both Joel and Lina patiently talked my son thru poses and body positions. My son said, "modeling is harder than I thought." Lol It was very busy and I still felt like it was all about us. Just got done working with the staff at Studio One and they couldn't have been nicer. I received the photo options via email the day after my son's senior picture shoot. It was very easy to take the price list, my photo options, and make my selection. She was very patient with me while I asked all possible options. So the day after his photo shoot I was able to see my choices, make my decision with all family input, and pay for them. This completed the entire process all in 24 hours. Much, much less painful than when I was a dealing with this and my parents. Couldn't be happier with the level of service I received from them and would highly recommend them to anyone. I feel like the photographers here were not accommodating, when I went in to take my pictures and I told my photographer I didn't like how I looked and if I could retake she got really pissy about it and was kind of rude for the rest of my appointment. Then, when I went in to pick up my portraits they had them printed on terrible quality linen texture- it seriously looks like a cat scratched my picture all over in various patterns before handing them to me. There's no way they should be charging me over $120 for 2 8" by 11" pictures that look terrible. read more

Wow, super sad this morning after talking to Studio One Photography. The staff was friendly and tried to help, but the management/company seems a bit greedy. I purchased Senior pictures for my son. I ordered what I needed (I do not need a million wallet size pictures or a huge 8x10). I need a digital copy of the image for graduation announcement. They will not give that to me with out charging me a package price beyond what I ordered. Over $100. for a digital copy OR, they are offering to print my announcements a four times the price of where I am ordering custom announcements. No concessions. It's all ONLY about the money. i called to make my daughters appointment for her senior photos and i just felt i wasn't being taken seriously , i heard girls laughing in the back round and obviously it was too loud for the girl i was talking too because she kept saying " i'm sorry what was that" i'm very disappointed in this because they are brand new and already showing bad quality's , i do not appreciate having the school my daughter goes to to have a contract with them.
