I visited Rally House for the first time on October 10th, 2024. I came to look for a long sleeve top to wear to my first NFL (professional football) game. The game was on October 20th so I had 10 days to find a jersey or sweater. I had been to many college football games in the past but never to an NFL game. OPTIONS -- They sell all sorts of sports clothing and memorabilia to choose from. The sports that I saw represented in the store is baseball (MLB), American football (NFL), and Ohio college teams (Ohio State, Akron, BGSU, and CSU). There were probably more sports that I may have missed being shown in the store. There are plenty of tops and bottoms to choose from with different colours and sizes. MY PURCHASE -- I absolutely loved my purchase. I decided to buy a more practical clothing item rather than a sports jersey. I bought a white Cleveland Browns sweater which I can wear anytime instead of just on football game days (see attached photo). The sweater is cute and unique plus it was cheaper than a licensed NFL jersey. The sweater that I bought has brown and orange lines or patches on the sleeves and a small Browns team mascot on the top backside. Cleveland Browns is written on the front of the sweater but it doesn't look like a sports sweater at all but it does have the Browns team colours. It definitely wasn't cheap (around $65 before tax) and I could have found something for $20-30 cheaper at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, or even the Giant Eagle little sports section. It will last me a long time so I'm happy with my purchase. If you're looking for a sports t-shirt or jersey then visit Rally House. Located in a medium sized plaza the Discovery Shop is also medium sized, always clean and well organized and you can find some great finds. Each week they have a 50% off color and the last weekend of the month everything in the store is 50% off. At this store I have found some really good clothes finds, especially on the men's clearance rack where the cost is $1 per item. I have found suit jackets, shirts and pants, while the men's selection is not large, what they have is usually very good and high quality. I have noticed that this store has a much larger selection of women's clothes. The store usually has a nice small selection of dishes, kitchenware and art; they do have some really interesting items up near the register, they often have some pieces from Europe, Asia and Africa. The selection seems to change everytime I have visited, nothing seems to last long at this shop. As an example I found a really nice leather motorcycle bag for under $10. The Fairview Park Discovery Shop is a fun and diverse place to do some thrifting; not the biggest store, but they really do a great job of making sure that they are selling high quality items at great prices. Not the kind of thrift store you are going to spend hours at, but well worth a visit whenever you are in the area to check out what they have. If you have a JPEG logo for example there will be a fee (which was under $50 with tax) to have Hometown convert the logo into the file type required for embroidery. When I went into the store to look at the logo once it had been digitized I was able to have changes made to it - delete words and realign other words. The staff were super helpful telling me what is common in terms of logo width and font size. If you have a logo already made they can pretty much execute any drag and resize action you could want. If you don't have a file already, while they don't design logos, they can set you up with stylized words. The staff were super patient as I picked out the colors to be used bringing me spools of thread to compare against each other and against the shirts I brought in and the digital image of my logo. I find their prices super reasonable and everyone was very friendly. It was just $12 per shirt that I wanted to have embroidered. I didn't buy the clothing there, but they had a retail floor of clothing and hats and a half ream sized catalog that you could purchase anything you could imagine from. My shirts were ready for pickup a week later and I was really happy with the quality and colors. I will certainly drop off more shirts soon and I'm thinking some hats too and maybe some of those cloth grocery bags.

It's a fair trade store which means that the products come from businesses that ensure safe working conditions and fair wages for workers. The store has a vast array of homegoods items to buy from candles, clothing (dresses), incense, handbags and wallets, etc. They also sell Storehouse tea and chocolates. EVENTS -- They have events that you can attend such as fair trade talks. I visited for an event in May 2025 which was a private tea and chocolate event organized by a Facebook women's food group. It cost only about $25. My friend Olga planned the wonderful event and it was awesome. She collaborated with One World Shop in purchasing some of their teas (Storehouse brand tea) and lots of their chocolates. Tables and chairs were laid out in the store for a fun tea party with plenty of chocolates to try. There was so much chocolate that many of us even had whole chocolate bars to go home with, including myself. The store also had mini tea snacks for us to eat, including a small sandwiches I visited One World Shop again recently in early March 2026 for a Fair Trade talk by Francesca B. of the Hope Collection store in Oberlin, Ohio. She spoke about her fair trade store, traveling to Ecuador during the start of her business, and what it means for products to be fair trade. It was a nice 30 min presentation and we got to ask questions afterwards. There were about 15 people who attended the presentation. One World Shop provided complimentary snacks such as mini pizza bites, lots of Storehouse tea, some macarons, and fruit just for the fair trade event. It was a lovely time of learning and meeting new people. If you are looking for gifts or just want to do general shopping, I highly recommend this store. The value and quality of the products are great. The 2 women who manage the store are friendly which good customer service is always nice to see. I'm sad that this store will be closing this summer (2026). They had a great 47 year run in Rocky River, Ohio.

They were gracious enough to allow our group to bring in chocolate from local stores and support their fair trade chocolate, which we set up ourselves. It's a great idea for anyone hosting to add! We tasted the following from their store which I bought at the store: Zotter Coconut Labooko Chocolate Bar, Zotter Wild Berries with Vanilla Mini Bar, Zotter Apple Pie (Hand-scooped Chocolate), Zotter Macadamia in Blackcurrant (Balleros), Divine chocolates (variety), Equal Exchange, Women's Bean Project Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans, and Alter Ego Chocolate. I very highly recommend Zotter hand scooped chocolate and chocolate covered espresso beans! They were a crowd favorite!
