Very hard to find and when' I tried to call to say I'd gotten lost and would be 10 minutes late, it was impossible to get through to a real person--much less to this location. When I arrived, I was told that both piercers had left for a lunch break at the same time, meaning I could not have the piercing done that day, as I had just flown in and needed to head to my rural home. I decided I wanted a second hole in my ear lobes. It took me about a year to finally commit. I've had my septum and my lip pierced at tattoo shops, but that seemed a little intense for an ear lobe piercing. I absolutely was not going to Claire's or Piercing Pagoda at the mall and Studs was actually the only other place around me that offered piercings that wasn't a tattoo shop. I was pumped. I can do without all the neon colors and I'm your face stuff, but I get what they're doing so it's fine. What was the MOST important to me, was that they offered 14k piercing options, it's plated, but that's fine with me and it was at a reasonable price. I'm allergic to everything but 14k in my ears and when I called around, some places had 14k plated but it was so expensive when it was a style earring I'd never wear again after my piercing healed. So it was nice to get an affordable 14k option at Studs. Booking online was fine. No issues. I got there and it's TINY. I honestly don't think it's necessary to have two different registers in this locations. It's too small and it's not big enough to even browse in with another person, so having two people just leaning on the counter at each register seemed unnecessary. The girl at the register where the jewelry was didn't look up when I walked in and was on her phone. Clearly they're bored. I walked up to her first not thinking I needed to go to the OTHER register to check in. And by "go to the other register" I mean I just had to turn around because it's so tiny inside. The guy that checked me in was nice. My pierced was GREAT. Super nice. Very informative. Keep double checking to make sure the placement was where I wanted it. She was what really made the trip worthwhile. When I was done, I went to the register where the jewelry was to pay for my earrings and piercings and the girl was still on her phone, she asked if I wanted to add on the Saline wash and I said yes. As I'm paying with my card, I look up and she was on her phone again, like you can't just wait until this transaction is over? She said some other things really fast and handed me this Studs pouch with stickers and stuff and I left. Without the Saline! We literally drove out of the parking lot when I realized it, but they were about to close and the road is a one way so you have to keep driving until you can make a u-turn, and it annoyed me TO NO END that they don't have a phone!!!!!!! You can leave this voicemail into the universe and someone maybe will get back to you, or you can like, text the store? Literally all I wanted to do was to call and ask if they could stay at the store for 5 minutes while I turn around to get the saline. Just typing that made me mad all over again. JUST HAVE A PHONE NUMBER I CAN CALL FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. Despite not talking to anyone we decided to try our luck and turn around and hope someone was in the shop still. Thankfully there was. I live like 40 minutes from this shop so if I didn't get it then, I wasn't driving back for it. Having said all that, I'm about 2 months into my healing and it's PERFECT. My ear never got swollen or crusty, never bled. It shows how great and knowledgeable the piercer was. Which is really the most important. read more

Drove 40 min because I had an appointment for my daughter. When we got there they said they couldnt find my name and my appointment must have been cancelled and that they had a person call out. They "think I should have got an email" which I did not. I checked all email folders. People call out and things happen. Would it be crazy to pick up the phone to call or send a text message? Disappointed in the lack of customer service. If I was to "no show" for my appointment I would be charged the "full service fee". Seems fair read more

My son and I went to get pierced yesterday, and Loli was our piercer. She was phenomenal!! So amazing! She was full of knowledge and super friendly. My son got his lobe done and didn't feel anything. I got my forward helix done and didn't feel a thing, i also got my Daith done and that was what she called "spicy" but it was totally fine. I wish i could review differently for different things but i can't, this is why the three stars, Loli totally deserves 5. The studio/company itself i would give a solid 2. I DO NOT recommend walking in, despite what the website says, i went twice with no appointment and was turned away both times cause they were fully booked. don't count on customer service for help if issues should arise, the number online leads you to message with instructions to text so you can't even talk to the piercer if you wanted to (unlike traditional tattoo/pierce shops) so when i reached out with an issue via email, the response i received was so generic and not helpful at all, so much so that i thought it was a bot responding to me. Front desk is not helpful, or very knowledgeable imo. I asked them if i could get a small hoop for my Daith and he said yes (none were in box selection they gave me to look through, why i had asked), so that's what i thought i was getting pierced with, but nope, i got this huge hoop in my ear that i don't like. i don't blame it on the piercer because other than me telling her i wanted a small hoop she chose what she thought was best for me, and to her it probably is a small hoop, but it's not to me, the guys at the front said they had different sizes and the small one is what i wanted, not what i got, so i'm stuck with this huge hoop and i don't like it, if i knew about the hoop size i would have chosen something different. read more

We had a 5:30 appt. Arrived and were told the appt. was cancelled. That we were sent an email. No email was received or sent. The people who worked there were inhumane. Terrible disposition and no way to treat a 13 year old and her mother. We were told we would receive a 35 percent discount. They never sent a discount code. Such terrible service. I went for my appointment this morning， they forced me choose the jewelry in the store due to their policy. I told them I am sensitive with the metal so I bring my whitegold ear stubs. And they rejected. It was fine，I understood. I left and came back in 5 mins and decided to give a try， after I chose the stub，the girl told me make another appointment because they just cancelled mine and another one picked it. My daughter wanted a second ear piercing for her 12th birthday. We made an appointment at this 'studs' and no where on the website said that they could only pierce 13 and up. We spent an hour driving to 'studs' just to find out that services would only be offered to 13+. It was a major waste of time, but more importantly, my daughter was very disappointed that she couldn't have the birthday experience that she had been promised. Had there been any communication that they only offer piercings for 13+, then we would have gone somewhere else. If you want to disappoint your children then this is the place for you. read more

Great place to get your piercings. Super friendly, quick and professional. I got my second holes done and nothing hurt. The only thing I can say could've been better was while I picked out my jewelry I needed to understand pricing b/c I happen to pick a ring that was $130 and the piercer didn't inform me of the prices of rings as I picked them. Love!!! Came here to do my 2nd lobe piercings for both ears, and they were able to squeeze me in with a walk-in. I walked around for 30 minutes to wait for my slot. This piercing was after I did my first lobe piercings (both ears) and a cartilage piercing, so not a new process for me. The piercing artist was incredibly friendly and communicative, gladly refreshing my lost knowledge on caring for fresh piercings - my last one was over 9 years ago. They're healing nicely and I have had no issues at all. They provided a bottle of saline spray when as part of my care package, and I am able to go back for a free appointment to switch out backings of the piercings to a shorter post when they are fully healed. Would highly recommend! My previous experiences were at Claire's (with a piercing gun in a mall, for my first lobe piercings, mega eek) and then at a tattoo parlor for my cartilage piercing. STUDS beats them both out by a long shot. read more
