The pernil was amazing! Tender and flavorful - it's probably one of the best ever! In fact the only Cuban sandwich I ever had that was as good as this one was when I worked in NYC in the 1980's, and I went to a small Cuban restaurant near my office on West 46th street. The rice and beans were great, along with the sauce they give you, which is just spicy enough and flavorful enough to bring every flavor sense front and center.
