I didn't know about this bakeshop and stumbled upon it while eating at the restaurant beside. We…read morewent in before our lunch and the cooler wasn't filled. There was a large cake, cake slices, macarons in 2 different flavours, 2 different cream puffs, and I believe a few other items. They also advertised they have bubble tea, halo halo, and various pops. Behind the counter, there were white steamed buns and the gentleman working there told us there was pork inside. There were a few trays of baked breads and also a warmed with chicken empanadas. After lunch we went back to pick up a few things. I got 2 empanadas ($1.99 each) and 2 cream puffs ($2.25 each). My friend had one of the cakes before and said it was sweet so I decided not to try any as I don't like overly sweet desserts. Later that day, I had the cream puff and it was filled with lots of fluffy cream. The chicken empanada filling reminded me of what I use when I make chicken pot pie without the liquid. For $2, there was a decent amount of chicken but it was sweet and I prefer more savoury. I heated it in the toaster oven so the outside shell would be crispy and it was flaky and warm inside. If I'm in the area, I would go back and see what else they had. It's great to support a local business and the service was friendly.

My mother picked up 7 cupcakes and 2 cake balls for my/my sisters birthday! From West Edmonton…read moreMall. Display always looks soooo good I was super excited to finally try some. She opted for No Fillings which I think was a mistake as overall I found the cupcakes Super dry. Icings were great though! The cupcakes are sooo tall that they touched the top of the box leading to a less pretty final presentation but they still look soooo impressive. Flavors and their ratings are: Red Velvet: 2/10, I never did like red velvet so might be biased but cake was dry and icing was tasteless. Chocolate mint: 6/10 mint icing was tasty but cake was dry. Coconut: 9/10 2nd best in the box in my opinion. Cake wasnt too dry, icing wasn't too sweet. Chocolate chocolate: 4/10 Cake dry icing boring. Chocolate peanut butter: cake dry but peanut butter icing was 10/10 yummy. Cheery cheesecake ( advertised as black forest cheesecake): 9.5/10 best in the box, cheesecake was too crumbly/dry and really just fell apart. Caramel Cheesecake: 7/10 icing tasted more like a coffee but and cheesecake was same as other one. Cake ball: 8/10. Not dipped in chocolate as expected just very moist cake. Overall not as good as I expected but I did find a few gems!

I didn't mind to wait until she was done but it's awkward standing there without being acknowledged or even told that she'll be right with us. Girl working wasn't friendly during the transaction. For $5 a cupcake it's a bit much. Would feel a lot better paying that when you have good service. Although cupcakes were rich and sweet ngl
