First of all, this restaurant is ToGo, and not Dine in. The couches and chairs are for you, idiots, to put your butts on while you wait! Today I spoke with a manager, and it seems like soon they will build a public restroom and add tables and chairs for people do who wants to dine in. Also, they added some salads, soups and pastas which are not bad at all! Nice addition to a colorful menu. The place is clean and has a good vibe (music, design). I can't wait to dine in properly as I like to eat inside and nit grab and go. It is more fun that way. Today I ordered gluten free wings, calzone which comes with yummy house made marinara sauce on the side, Chef salad and baklava. Loved them all and will always be coming back. Food was pretty good for the price, wait wasn't terribly long. Wouldn't plan on sitting down to eat, seating is limited and not particularly comfortable. During our visit, we did find ants in the fountain drinks, but we were allowed to grab a bottled soda out of the fridge to make up for that. We received the slick flyer in the mail. After looking it over and taking it all in, we decided on an eggplant parmesan sandwich and a Stump Special Calzone. First of all, NO self respecting Italian resistant would even CONSIDER using pre-packaged Heinz marinara. When I opened the calzone box and saw that pathetic little container in the corner, I knew I was in for a treat. The bread definitely had a packaged feel and taste to it while the inside ingredients were bland. The sandwich wasn't much better and was a little soggy toward the end of it. We've been here so many times on our way to Al-Amir Bakery. Last time we came here the bakery was out of business. We decided to give them a shot since we watched the restaurant come together from the beginning. The place is immaculately clean. A clean store and prompt service recommended this place over many of it's brethren, even if the food itself does not. The sauces are over-sweet and under-seasoned, the meats greasy and cheap, and the crust over-worked and pretzel-like. They actually served the calzone with a container of Heinz Marinara..! But while they phone in the food on nearly every level, the store was spotless and the service polite and swift. These days, that counts for a lot. It was actually quite a bit lighter than most pizza places I've tried. The crust was good. I love the thinner layer of sauce. The reason I cannot give this 5 stars.. the ingredients and overall quality are not worth the price point. The chicken tasted like it came straight from a defrosted bag of diced chicken breast.. it wasn't bad, but it wasn't really good either. The marinara sauce was a Heinz cup... so you know they aren't using in house sauce for their pizza either. The cheese was probably the best part of the toppings for me actually. First off, the food was excellent. I got a double burger with bacon and it was as good as I could hope for, with thick slices of tomato and onion. Truly, the polar opposite of your classic barely there mashed fast food burger. I also ordered the fried cauliflower and that was spicy and delicious. The restaurant was clean, the service was good. The less good: the seating area is not ideal. The lounge seats and low table don't lend themselves to eating. You have to sit at the end of the couch and there's no back support. You could use the stools and the bar table against the window but they're not matched for height and you end up with the table being at armpit height, feeling like a little kid. Your best bet is to take your food to go. The food was all priced pretty high, and maybe that's just the nature of costs these days especially for good ingredients but I can see your average lunch setting you back $25, which is pretty rich for this neighborhood. Also, the portion on the cauliflower was way bigger than it needed to be, especially when you're charging $10 for a side. read more

So we got the menu in the mail and it was very nicely done, the place isn't close to us (15min) but we are sick of MOD so we thought what the heck give Stumptown a shot. First the drive down 122nd sucks! then trying to get into their lot is dang near impossible unless maybe you're coming west down Division st. The place is nice and staff is as well. Ok the pizza...well not great very limited toppings and sauce crust had no flavor I've had better frozen. On the plus side the garlic knots and chocolate peanut butter pie were delicious. I grew up eating calzones in Los Angeles, and every time I go "home" I make sure and head to Ameci's (the local pizza shop near my childhood home) to get one. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, was able to match the flavor perfection that was their calzone, and as a professional chef, I've tried and failed to perfect it at home as well. That is, until I tried the calzones at Stumptown. I was immediately transported straight back to my childhood, and I confess I've ordered WAY too many of them over the last month, but it was worth it. Do me a favor, especially if you're over toward Gresham. Try these guys, and do it in person. You'll appreciate the staff and their level of care, and you'll save them the 30% fee that Grubhub charges them for the privilege of having it delivered to your home. Put plainly, I paid $14 (including tip) for a calzone today, versus nearly $40 for the same order at Grubhub, and MOST of that money went to Grubhub. We need to support local businesses, not just with our orders, but with our feet. Here's hoping they expand into Clackamas soon! This is a new spot in Southeast, I decided to try it with my stepdaughter for a father daughter date. She really enjoyed her mozzarella sticks as well as her mild buffalo wings. Tried Stumptown Cuisine for the first time tonight. Their food was excellent! They had something for all of us. My son only eats chicken nuggets and garlic knots, my husband had pizza and I had the burger. They offered curbside pick up! I ordered ahead and it was hot and ready to go. Since then I have also tried and love their burgers and fries--simple ingredients, but they must be high-quality because the end result is exceptional--and their calzones, with the Chicken Bacon Ranch as the best one so far. I've been a customer here since their opening roughly one year ago and have watched their operations improve over time. I just ordered this place tonight, I was sketched out because they go by a completely different name on DoorDash then what their real name is which was red flag #1 , while the menu is abundant I feel it's quite random which doesn't always have to be a bad thing but in this places case it's NOT. I payed for a "16 inch pepperoni and beef pizza" and curly fries, - $18. The pizza arrived and we were excited to eat it, right when I opened it I laughed of shock because the "large 16 inch" that I payed for was more like a 12inch medium pizza. It was covered in about no joke a cup of oil or grease which I tried picking up in the picture, I hope you can see how drenched the cardboard is. Pizza was soggy, and the crust was slimy and wet so much I was high and I still didn't want to eat that trash. THe cheese was curdled and caked. This place should be a health violation!!! I wasn't even mad I didn't get all my marinara when I realized it was hienz packets. The Kraft ranch packet was also unexpected. I didn't hate myself for ordering this blindly but should have seen the red flags. My order was done faster then expected and it was enjoyed by my girlfriend who has the pallet of a small child.
