After checking with the manager, the waiter took back the meal, but still charged her full price for everything else. I quietly tried to explain to the manager, Chris B., that our guest was upset and that the situation should have been handled better. Instead of apologizing, he became loud and belligerent about how busy they were, which was embarrassing and unprofessional. It also felt like our large group received poor service because a 20% gratuity was already automatically added, and that charge was not very clear on the bill. For the price, this place doesn't deliver the level of quality or service you'd expect. Adding an automatic 20% tip on top of that just made the experience more frustrating, especially since the service felt in line with what you often see at places that auto-gratuity.
