Can't say enough good things about our experience with Stumpy's. They came highly recommended by a friend, and when Mark came to do the estimate, I knew we had the right guys to do the job. the price was good, too. A crew of 3 came to do the work, led my Manny, who was superb....I happened to be home, and Manny checked with me along the way and after the job was done. The job was heavy pruning and shaping, including some monster branches. They got all the cut limbs removed without harming the lawn or our flower beds. These guys are amazing! Their estimate was the lowest of the 3 we got. Dealings with the office were a breeze. The crew arrived 10 min early this morning to look at the job and plan their attack. They were friendly and enjoyed a lively greeting from my dog. They carefully positioned their many pieces of equipment to avoid harming my plantings. They made sure to keep the street clear for neighbors to get by. They removed 7 trees: 2 90-ft pines very close to the house and 5 oaks and maples. I wish I didn't have to go to work so I could've seen how they did it! They left the street perfectly clean and filled in all the spots where the stumps had been. I needed to have 19 trees removed, 14 large Pines and 5 Oaks and I was limited in time as I had other work that couldn't happen until the trees were removed. Stumpy's was excellent. They were able to send me a quote the same day as the estimate and were able to fit me into the schedule within 1 week when all other companies were at least 2 to 3 weeks out even though they were also very busy. They showed up on time, were able to get their equipment in to a very tight spot and didn't stop working until they were done. I highly recommend their services. We had 35 tall oak trees removed today by Stumpy's. Mac and his crew were great. They showed up just before 8am and were finished by 4pm. Most of the stumps were grinded to the ground and you can't see any evidence of a tree. After they chopped and removed the trees, they used leafblowers to clean up all the leaves and debris. I used Stumpy's for the first time a couple of months ago upon the recommendation of a neighbor. I needed to have some branches trimmed for insurance purposes as they were overhanging the house. They called me back promptly and set an appointment for the next day. Mark B. (project manager) showed up on time and gave me a very fair estimate for the job. He had a crew in the area that were available so they came within the hour. Awesome! I also asked them to remove a brush pile from our driveway that had been accumulating from various storms. They removed a brush pile from my driveway, but there was a pile of pine needles underneath that they did not remove because they could not put it through the wood chipper. Mark came back the next day to inspect the work and told me that the crew would return to take away the rest of the brush to completely clear the driveway. They did return and the job was complete. They were fast and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves and took appropriate measures to protect my lawn from the heavy equipment. Overall, very satisfied with the work and Mark was a pleasure to work with. Honestly, I had tried to contact several other tree service companies, but they never called me back. Mark arrived on time and he was very knowledgeable and professional. He even asked for the septic system plan to make sure the way he was planning to access the trees would not cause any damage. I can only add to the praises of this company. Stumpy's is truly wonderful. They have strong customer service, friendly employees, incredibly reasonable prices, and - most importantly - they do great work. We had a team of two men remove about two blocks worth of giant, ugly, overgrown hedges around our house. Use these guys if you need any serious tree service and want the best price. I had 3 companies come in to do an estimate and they were actually the lowest price (and that made me skeptical - but boy was I wrong). I couldn't have been happier with the result and speed at which they completed the job. We had them take down about 15 trees ranging from 50year old ash tree's to 10 year old pine's (and some that were right up against our house). The guys working (about 8 of them) seemed to be having a really fun time - which might seem strange to say but I think that means they do a better job. They were really nice to my little boy as well (5yrs old) who couldn't have been more excited to see a giant boom crane lift a tree over our house. Nice to see a well run business. read more

I highly recommend Stumpy's Tree Service. I got the lowest quote from them so I really didn't know what to expect. A team of 4 came to take down a few huge old limbs from a tall oak along with three pieces of heavy equipment. It was a perfect symphony in terms of removing the limbs without damaging my house or property -nothing easy about this - and removing all debris including maneuvering the limbs from the crane in the air into the tree chopper. I used Stumpy's for the removal of two trees, one was quite large. Watching them come in with the huge crane and pick up this tree like a toy was awesome. The team then set about completely disassembling and chipping it all and they were out of here in no time. The most efficient operation I have seen. They might be one of the rare companies that breaks the old rule about good fast and cheap. Usually you can get two out of the three but they seem to offer it all. I have just had Stumpy's tree Service do work for me for the first time. I had used another company over the years that did very good work but which lately had a very long lead time before they could get to the work. I am very pleased with Stumpy's. The estimate was professional and thorough. Communication was good leading up to the work being done. For the work itself, which was removal of a big tree, the crew came right on time (and the temperatures were frigid), with plenty of equipment (5 trucks including a big crane and a cherry picker). The crew took time planning their approach carefully. There was careful, efficient teamwork in dealing with the situation. The cleanup was good.
