We had breakfast a couple times here while on vacation. I loved this place we can't wait to go back to Hatteras again and this is one of the many reasons. Biscuits and gravy. Love it. :) The food is made when you order it, so it takes an extra minute. Just be patient, it is worth it. read more

Breakfast Tacos & Biscuit with Saugae Gravy were both, well....GRAVY!!! Dynamite spot right in front of the Avon Pier. Going back for more tomorrow, maybe lunch this time, we'll see. Also super friendly people manning the truck...oh and played perfect morning music. We were there before they opened at 7:30 and enjoyed a walk on the pier while we waited! The breakfast tacos are wonderful. My family and I ate here yesterday, didn't have enough cash to cover. They let us bring the rest back to pay later. The gravy and biscuit was very filling, such a large amount two people could share. My son wanted a grilled cheese which was available at breakfast time. Phenomenal breakfast! Super friendly staff. Biscuits were like none other. Grilled cheese was toasty and tasty, not mushy. Gravy was super flavorful and not like traditional gravy. Just incredible. Definitely don't sleep on the pork rolls -- almost all of my group each got one and we were in pure bliss. One of us is from NJ too so she knows a good pork roll when she sees one. The breakfast tacos (Christmas style of course) may also be the best I've ever had. My new favorite spot in the Outer Banks. Sue and Steve are also the loveliest people. We're eyeing the biscuits and gravy for the next time we're out in Avon; they were already sold out by the time we arrived at 10:30am! One hundred percent recommend Stu's! read more

We found this place on the second-to-last day of our vacation. I definitely wish we had found it sooner! We still made sure to eat two lunches and a breakfast here! I had their veggie tacos both days and they were phenomenal. A fresh assortment of seasonal veggies, pickled onions and melted cheese on corn tortillas. Get them with Christmas sauce (a mix of green mild salsa and red spicy salsa). My 2 1/2 year old had hot dogs both days and devoured them both instantly. They're made with a natural casing for a good snap and served on a really nice roll. My husband had pulled pork two ways, once as a sandwich and once as tacos. It was tender and well seasoned. Breakfast was amazing. The sausage gravy is some of the best I've ever had, creamy, not gloopy, and with a nice little kick. The biscuits were soft and buttery. They are a cash only truck though so be prepared! That said, I didn't check my wallet before I left and rolled up with only $6 to buy breakfast. They were very chill about it, let me leave without paying and told me I better enjoy my breakfast first before I came back to pay because no one wants cold sausage gravy. If that's not Southern hospitality, I don't know what is. It's parked right outside Avon fishing pier and beach, so be sure to check it out if you're there! read more

Go for the chorizo tacos. They're incredible and friendly staff. The hot dogs were good but will be going back for the tacos.

Ended up returning 4 days in a row for breakfast, could not get enough of the breakfast tacos and pork roll. Loaded up for the ride back to Buffalo. Can't wait to return next year. read more

Sooo delicious! They make everything from scratch. Their homemade biscuits are AMAZING! Even better with meemaw's gravy. I'm obsessed with the chicken tacos and the vegetarian tacos with a fried egg.
