Stu was very professional and thorough in moving our table. From protecting the floor in both the current and new location with moving blankets to vacuuming up after himself to polishing the entire wood portion of the table with furniture polish, Stu was a class act. He was meticulous in making sure the table was flat in every area. I've had the table moved before and the other companies don't compare. His price was very fair as well. Just a hint if you haven't had your table moved before, make sure you ask if they are going to take it apart or not. Some companies tell you it's OK to move it without taking it apart, but that doesn't seem to be true. I'm no expert, but from everything I've read, and Stu confirmed, it's just too heavy to move in one piece without the fittings being stressed and damaged. Stu took our table apart very carefully and put it all back together. By the time he brushed the felt and polished the wood, it looks and plays better than it did before. read more

First of all, Thank You Stu and Josh - my pool table has never played better. Our house we moved from closed two weeks earlier than anticipated, and I was in a bind to get our pool table moved. Although this business has seemingly good reviews well- that's why I hired them in the first place! Unfortunately they did not act accordingly. Not only did the owner of this company stu drop a bag of methamphetamine on the floor of my living room, I also found what looked to be like a broken meth pipe in my bathroom garbage can. But that's not the worst part! Somehow after the day of the move, my credit card info has been used without my permission for several purchases one of which was for filling up a gas tank at the chevron in Lincoln and after being shown the videos- it was determined that stu was whom had used it. I don't know how he got my card but he surely had my card number because he recorded it while I payed for his services. I don't know why I got the short end of the stick but I am baffled. I was expecting such great service and got this. I am just disgusted. Don't waste your time or money on these guys- they'll rob you blind! These reviews stating their good hard work that they got from this company clearly isn't the only kind of services they provide. I'll bet it's happened to many others, I'm just the first to speak on it. If I could rate zero stars best believe I would. I purchased an antique 1928 Brunswick Medalist from someone on Craigslist. The table was disassembled and sitting in a storage container in Redding, CA. Stu retrieved the table for me and upon inspection determined that the pockets and felt would both need to be replaced. He found high quality replacement pockets that fit the antique style #6 pocket rails, which are a different size from modern #6 pocket rails. Once the necessary parts arrived, Stu delivered the table to me in the Bay Area and expertly set the table up, leveled it, and positioned it to play perfectly in our basement family room. Stu also helped us select and purchase high quality cues, balls and other accessories for attractive prices. Stu clearly loves what he does, takes pride in his work, and he goes the extra mile to make the customer happy. Not every pool table guy is qualified to work on antique tables. Stu is not only qualified, but he seemed to take great personal pleasure in making sure that this antique table plays perfectly, despite being 86 years old! Scheduling and times were altered and changed multiple times. They were supposed to arrive at the house at 8pm-evidentally there were weather delays which is fine and understandable- but they didn't arrive till about 10pm on a Sunday (2 hours late) and didn't finish the set-up until about 12:40am. I understand it take a while to set-up but considering work was the next day made it difficult for us. If I had children I would have made them come back the next day. Happy my pool table is set-up just a shame it was into a Monday early morning hours. This is a followup to my 4/28 one star review. As soon as Stu realized what had happened, he contacted me and offered to come to Redding the next day and move the table himself at no charge. He arrived 4/29 on time and ready to go. He and his assistant (his wife) carefully took the table apart leaving no mess behind, moved it to the new location and reassembled it perfectly. I watched the entire process and the slate is perfectly level, the leather pockets attached securely and the felt stretched perfectly. When they were done the table looked and played better than before the move. Stu had some bad luck the day before. He was extremely knowledgeable and informative concerning the different felt options and how the move was going to happen. He and his team were friendly throughout the entire scheduling and ordering process. He was running late for our appt but we received a courtesy call alerting us. Their work area was organized and neat and he was respectful of our home by cleaning and vaccuuming throughout the night.This was not a quick process as not only the slate but all rails needed to be felted so it was a long night. Did a perfect job! They moved my table from downstairs to upstairs. Before he put the felt on he put a piece of glass on the table in a couple spots with a ball on top to show it was level.
