Had to stand in line for 20 minutes to be let in.. come to find out the store is about the size of my bedroom and pretty much 5 people at one time is all it can handle. Selection was poor.. pick an item and their trolls need to run in the back to fetch the right size for you and good luck if it's in stock.. lastly wanted to try out 2 shirts literally identical and one of the trolls said sorry you can't try the shirt with printed graphics. Stüssy was founded in 1980 by Shawn Stussy in Laguna Beach, California. We came to this location today around 3 PM and waited about 30 minutes just to get inside. We've always liked the brand -- it's classic streetwear -- but this spot left a lot to be desired. It's a small location, parking is tough, and unfortunately, the customer service was terrible. Right when we walked in, they told us not to touch the clothing... at a clothing store. Seriously? Part of the experience is feeling the fabric and checking out the quality. The one white guy with sunglasses was especially rude and unprofessional -- it honestly felt like he hated being there. Same vibe with the cashier: not a smile, not a greeting. It's part of the job to fold clothes back after customers browse -- no need to make people feel bad for shopping. At the end of the day, we still grabbed a hoodie and two T-shirts, but the energy inside was just dead. Total opposite of our experience at the Stüssy location in Hawaii, where the staff was friendly, welcoming, and actually seemed happy to be there. I don't usually leave reviews on yelp. This was hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a while. The guy with blonde hair was unbelievably rude from start to finish. His attitude was dismissive, condescending, and completely unprofessional. It honestly felt like he didn't want customers in the store at all. It's no surprise this location has so many bad reviews and after this experience, they've earned every single one. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially at a globally recognized brand like stussy. Tourists from all over the world shop here, and this is the impression they're getting? Disgraceful. Stussy has been a popular brand amongst many and has been around since 1980 and has been a good 43 years. Many people will enjoy their designs and style. It is mainly a men's clothing line but honestly, you can still wear their shirts, shorts, and everything even as a girl! They have a variety of sizes and even though the store is small, they have other sizes in the back, just ask them. This was my first time coming to this store but I did think it was organized well. I just don't understand why they only let a few people come inside. It took us about 40 minutes to get inside because there are so many people. read more

Almost every single one of the employees were high-ego teenagers/young adult men with an attitude, acting like they're all that just because they work at Stussy. I walk into the store, thinking nothing of the two people sitting on the bench and then the security guard comes right out and says we have to wait. Okay.. then stay outside so we can see you lmao? Isn't that your job? How were we supposed to know? Anyways, a few minutes pass and we're finally let in. None of the clothes are that appealing, and all of the size small were sold out. I ask if they have the basic logo tee that says los angeles and they do have it, but it's nowhere in their displays. Two worker I have talked to just were ignoring me when I was trying to talk, and none of them seem like they like their job. So why tf apply to work here? Why are you working at a job where your main duty is to make sales and assist customers and you're terrible at it? They have "try on shirts" and only one fitting room. I asked for one and it was literally a plain t shirt with nothing on it. At least have some stussy logo? So the customer gets a better idea of what they actually want to purchase? I asked for a small and got a medium. It was huge for me, so it makes a big difference. Someone was already in the fitting room and I have been holding onto the shirt for a few minutes now, and I decided that I do not want to try it on anymore because of how rude they were and how unwelcome I felt. I handed one of the workers the shirt and said that I just don't need to anymore since we were in a rush and a lot of people were waiting to try on. The worker just grabbed the shirt and said nothing at all. We were not greeted coming into the store, nor leaving. After leaving, there was a huge line out of the door, maybe about 20-30 people. All I could think was that I feel bad for them, waiting in such a long line to get into a store with horrible customer service from rude, ignoring workers. I don't know how they got hired. This Stüssy is located near Beverly Hills and I'm a HUGE fan of the brand so I knew I needed to check it out and cop myself a Stüssy Los Angeles t-shirt. Just like any high-end streetwear store in LA, there was a wait to get in. I think we waited around 30 minutes before we were able to get in. Parking is also a pain here as there is no dedicated parking lot and you need to find street parking which is practically impossible to find. The store itself is rather small but I think that's the trend of all Stüssy stores. While it is small, there was still a good variety of apparel to choose from. I was able to get a nice Stussy LA tshirt for an affordable price. They have a lot of other things besides their flagship t-shirts as well. Stüssy has definitely increased their brand value throughout the years and I can see why -- the simplicity of the design is aesthetic and they stopped supplying to retailers like Urban Outfitters and it has definitely built its niche audience throughout the years. We came here on a weekend, there was a line on Saturday afternoon. I had my eye on a jacket that I saw the week prior but instead of buying it right away I wanted to hold off on the splurge and think about it first. I came the following weekend that Green color had been sold out and was part of their "fall" collection and they are on "winter" collection now. I ended up buying a different color, it was a nice embroidered sweater. The only thing that is annoying is when you are given something to try on, they don't even check the condition of the item sometimes and what they handed me was one that had lipstick and foundation smears on the collar of the item which is gross... if I'm going to pay $130 I want it clean and brand new. Thankfully they had more in the back. Another situation I want to call out is that sometimes the associates aren't friendly...I wanted to hold onto a size small but wanted to see if there was a medium to see how that fit with me...and when they went to check, they took the small I was holding and folded it back and put it on the table... I've loved this brand, the history and story of it since I was probably 10-11 years old. Im 36 now. I used to kick it at the SF store on Haight St as a kid in the late 90's-early 2000's and the people that worked there treated me like family. Id walk in with my co.jp Dunks and talk to the employees about all the Dunks coming out at that time and about things at FTC across the street...and just watch all the dudes skating outside the shop. Also they were also next to TRUE, so I'd hop back and forth between the Stussy and TRUE shops. The shop was such a vibe back then. They even had a dachshund dog at the shop that had his own Stussy bed. It was so dope! My 11-12 year old self would just come in and kick it with the dog sometimes. And since I moved to LA, I still til this day appreciate the brand and frequent the store. It's just nostalgic. I personally don't have anything bad to say about the LA shop. I feel like if you talk to the employees like humans and say wassup they respect you. I do see all the negative comments in the reviews, but at the same time, as an o.g. that has been going to their shops for more than 60% of my life, I have experienced the streetwear culture change and the type of people shopping at the store for the last few years. As a customer I experience so many other rude af customers, especially tourists (domestic and international), losing their minds because they don't have access to a Stussy store where they are from. And they wear it because their friends are wearing it on that hypebeast bs and they don't even know what they're wearing. And a lot of the people that have been coming to the store are constantly cutting people in line and shoving people to look at the shirts on the shelves, no courtesy. And the way some of the customers speak to the employees is so rude. It can get busy, but also if you like more than 1 thing, ask for the size in all 3 items at once. Don't ask for one item at a time. They have like 3 employees on the floor at once and 12-15 people demanding a size, so when customers do that, they are wasting time making the employee go back and forth... and they haven't gotten a chance to help the other 10-15 people in the store. Some customers speak to the employees with so much entitlement , treat the staff like personal servants and make the employees run laps for sizes and they don't even buy a damn thing! But they expect the best service. Just go in the shop with courtesy and general human etiquette and be mindful. Of course there may be a genuinely rude employee here and there. It's like that everywhere. But for the most part I think most of the employees mean well. And the people who complain about the stock being low or the shop never having this or that. It's a small brand and the things they make are in small batches. Its always been that way! They announce their releases on their ig! So if you go to the store a week or 2 after a release, of course they might be sold out. Just try to go the day of/week of a release! The only thing I can doc the employees on, is that sometimes they don't greet people and sometimes because they are young, they are shy or they're just busy. So it's possible that's why. But that's about it. They are always helpful with me. But I also talk to them like the human-beings they are and the same way Id talk to the employees in the 90's-2000's. Came in here with my friend to pick up a few shirts, and overall the store was very organized and clean. They only let a handful of people in at a time so depending on what time you stop by, you may have to wait in line, in our case we waited for a little over 45 minutes. Customer service however was less than mediocre. I've read all the reviews talking about how unprofessional the employees are, so naturally I was weary about going in, but I decided to go in with an open mind. No particular issues arose with any of the employees, but they all look miserable, and for people who are not familiar with the brand, Stüssy tries to incorporate an element of inclusivity, and carefree living throughout their products, being that it is technically a surf/skate brand, but the employees did not reflect this sentiment, and came off as very detached and arrogant. One girl in particular looked like she was really irritated when asked if they had a shirt in a particular size in the back, which was very off-putting, because as someone who is a supervisor at a major retail chain, customer service is key, and quite frankly the employees at this particular location work in a very slow-paced environment anyways, so they should treat their customers with a little more decency. However, this store is located in Los Angeles, so if the employees act the way they do because they don't want people to take advantage of them or possibly attempt to shoplift, then maybe their cold persona is justified. In conclusion, I'd say if you decide to stop by, just keep a low profile and handle all of their products with care. The products we did end up purchasing were great though. Probably the worst in-store shopping experience I have ever had. I've had better shopping experiences at grocery stores during the peak of the pandemic when people were scrambling and buying everything on the shelves. I'm not sure how the workers got jobs there, must be a friend of a friend thing. I literally was asking simple questions about sizes and additional colors and three employees were somehow confused and acted like they had no clue. Did they just take a huge hit on a spliff and then show up for work? It felt like that episode of Beavis and Butthead working fast food. First time here with a friend on a Friday afternoon and waited in line for an hour. To be quite honest, not really sure what the hype was about because there wasn't anything particularly special inside the store. All the customers in the store were trying various items of clothing on and I had done that as well, however when I tried on a t-shirt, a female employee rushed up to me and rudely said, "We don't allow t-shirt try ons". Mind you, there were no signs that stated this and we were not told this upon entering the store. It was assumed that we could try on the t-shirts as well since everyone else was trying other pieces on. I think the approach for making this important piece of information known could've been done differently and that certain Stussy employees could be nicer about it (the male workers were nice and helpful). I went to buy my 12 year olds a few pieces for back to school and couldn't have had a better experience! First off, I wasn't aware there was so much hype around this brand. I called the store before I went and spoke to a lovely woman who told me that Adult Small would probably be the best size for my tweenagers. She said she would put aside a few pieces for me. I went into the store 2 hours later (no issue parking and only had to wait for a few minutes outside for two groups before me... no big deal!). As promised, a selection of tees in Adult Small were waiting for me. Then another lovely young man helped me with sweatshirts. Everything went so smoothly... I was in and out in less than 30 minutes with my purchase! Unfortunately one son wanted the same sweatshirt as his brother so the next day I had to go back. Again, street parking was easy but the wait outside was a bit longer. Still, I think I waiting 5-10 minutes? Once inside, the sales team remembered me and said unfortunately they did not have anymore adult small sweatshirts (guess they go pretty fast?). The young man that helped me the day before said he would look again and he disappeared to the back. He reemerged victoriously holding another Adult Small sweatshirt!!! As I was leaving, I spotted a flat rim cap that I knew my son would love. I asked the aforementioned woman (who helped me with the tees) if they had other colors. I've been shopping Stussy for a while but after coming to their location in LA, I was really turned off from the customer service I experienced. I understand that people have bad days but it was no reason to take it out on the customers that are there for your business. One of the taller employees working this day was rude, unwelcoming, and condescending towards me. He seemed to be really annoyed when I asked for another size to try on. Every interaction with him was like walking on eggshells. Not sure what his problem was but he needs an attitude adjustment. Otherwise, communicate if I did something wrong. I just had to write this post because it's been bothering me. I would have done more shopping but I ended up leaving from this situation. I tried to squeeze in a visit today despite an insane schedule on my trip to LA, drove across town and dealt with parking and paid to park nearby.. only to walk up and have your employees lock the door in my face at 2 PM. No explanation no warning, no care or concern over upsetting a previously loyal customer. If you're going to close for lunch you should really post it somewhere so that people don't waste their time and money trying to come visit you when you're just going to literally slam and lock the door in their face. Came in to buy an Xmas gift. There were three employees "working" while on their phones and came off cold and unwelcoming not sure why as I was the only customer in the store. I don't expect any employee to come off super enthusiastic but there was just not a good vibe in the store.
