Chicken, beef, ribs, potato salad and beans

I got the 3 meat combo. It was soooooo good. Chicken, beef and ribs. Potato salad and beans. My daughter is picky and she ate all my chicken.

I read the reviews and was excited to try the food. First upon entering its a quaint small business. The staff was friendly and from my vantage point I could see Mrs Stutts, in the kitchen, she wasn't very friendly when I asked about the lunch specials or the menu. I proceeded to look thru menu and a customer or friend of the restaurant took my order. She was very friendly and patient. I ordered the buttermilk pie, 3 meat combo and brisket sandwich for $24. Rib Meat was tender, the brisket just a lot of fat, sauce is nothing special and those baked beans and coleslaw were not the taste I'd expect from a barbecue place. I've eaten all over the world and the 2 star is simply for a not above average meal and for a buttermilk pie that was the star of my whole experience. I don't think I will ever go back but try it for yourself. May your experience be better!!i

Stutts House of BBQ is a North Tulsa black owned institution. The bbq today with delicious with St.Louis ribs, hot links and smoked chicken was very good. The baked beans were sweet and filling. The potato salad had just the right amount of mustard not to be a distraction. The Sunday Special included smoked chicken, cornbread dressing with gravy, green beans, croissant and blackberry cobbler for $12.99! My only complaint was that the smoked beef was diced so small I couldn't get a good bite of the texture. The place is small but Mrs Stutts and the patrons were all friendly.

Ribs: perfection! Also gluten free when served without the bread. Service is simple, you can order at the front got to-go orders or have a seat for table service. The food comes out pretty quickly. If you don't mind driving a little bit out of the way, and there is quite a bit of construction going on, you can have the best ribs that fall completely off the bone. The owner, Almead Stutts, will sometimes come out and talk to the customers. She is a real character! When I was there with the hubs, she was giving someone a hard time because he had lived here a long time and never heard of the place, she said, "did you know I was in the New York Times? Well it's right here on the wall!" She used to work for Wilson's barbecue, you know the " you need no teeth to eat our beef" guy. This place came up for sale and I guess people tried to dissuade her from running her own joint by saying it was hard and you would have to do this or that. She was not to be fazed by these naysayers and replied " Well, I'm already doing all that for Wilson." What ferocity, I wish I could be like that! I also took my cousin there and she loved it, she used to go to Reese's barbecue when she lived here on the 70s. She said it was just as good as Reese's and Almead accepted that as a compliment right away. Did I mention the ribs? The fat renders completely away and leaves you with a lightly smoked piece of meat candy that come clean off the bone! The place is homey and full of inspirational and family pictures. We will definitely go back!

Such a great place. Mrs Stutts is such a sweet lady! Cute little eating area too. The walls are covered in pictures and articles and she told me and my family all the stories behind them while we waited for our food. They've got phenomenal tender brisket and amazing bbq sauce that goes on it. Amazing slaw, baked beans and potato salad! Tasty buttermilk pie. Our to go order was out in less than 10 minutes and everything was delicious!!

The good: - Rip tips and beef! - The BBQ sauce (they have one sweet and one hot - which is a slow burn) - Baked beans were some of the best I've had in a while. - The service - Prices weren't too bad, especially for a BBQ place. The okay: - Coleslaw and potato salad. Not the best. Not the worst. The bad: - Chicken and ribs were dry. - The pickles and onions were bad. The onions tasted like they had been cut a while ago and was left in an open container in the fridge and had absorbed the taste of everything. Pickles were also weird tasting. - The pickles and onions count as a side. What the heck!! Other BBQ places give those as condiments. - They were out of buttermilk and sweet potato pie.

To go order.

Wasn't really sure what to expect with this place being a legendary place in Tulsa and seeing the low reviews in the last few months. I can tell you I went to this place today and it was really good bbq. A lot of sweet, but I should have asked for a hotter bbq sauce. Not being in N Tulsa very often its easy to forget or not be aware of some of the good bbq on that side of town. Overall 4.5 stars. It s easier to break it down like this. Brisket - 4 Ribs - 3 Sauce - 4 Potato salad - 4 Baked beans - 4 Buttermilk pie - 5 Bread - 1 Price - 5 Hospitality - 5

They definitely have their own twist on things. The sweet potatoes were good but a little heavy on the nutmeg. They tasted like a mix of apple and pumpkin pie. The mac and cheese was really creamy. I really liked the horseradish coleslaw. I'm not a big fan of collard greens but I still tried them and actually thought they were pretty good. For our mains, two of us had the brisket and one had ribs. Both were super good. There were 4 different sauces. I recommend trying them all. I wanted to try the sausage but they were sold out. I guess you need to get there earlier than an hour before they closed. We finished with a couple desserts. The banana pudding was probably the best I've had. Their seasonal cobbler was blueberry and very tasty! I was hoping for peach. Maybe next time. Yes there will definitely be a next time. It was a lot of food so we had plenty left over that ate for lunch the next day. The atmosphere is super friendly and really clean. Like most barbecue places I've been to there is no table service. You order and pay at the counter. Then depending on how busy they are they will bring your food to your table or have you pick up at the counter. For me the cherry on top is their pay it forward meal. For $15 you can buy a meal for someone in need. They hand you a receipt that you pin to a board. Then when someone needs a meal they can go in and grab one off the board. They offer them their lunch special. While I was there I saw a very grateful individual come in and get a meal. The staff were super nice and treated them just like any other customer. Great food! Great service! Great value! Do yourself a favor and try this place!

Fellow friends, you better get on it before people taste this bit of heaven or they will start running out of bbq to share. We got the chubby cheeks taco, a beef rib and heritage pork rib. Everything was just love. I can't explain it well enough but when you try, you'll know what I'm taking about. My absolute favorite was the Beef rib. The beef rib was melt in the mouth, succulent and perfectly seasoned. My bbq soul is complete. Their bbq sauce they have is fantastic and their other sauces are killer too! The service was fantastic. They were extremely nice and helpful. It's a food truck so I'm sure they move around but this time they were located behind American Solera. I can confidently say they are the bbq masters of Tulsa. I can't believe Tulsa would have such amazing BBQ but these folks do it right. Overall, it's the best BBQ I've ever put in my mouth! They know exactly what they are doing with their meats. Stop, stop, STOP. Whatever else you're thinking about going to eat, just forget about it…read more You've found the place you're looking for. This place is the best bbq in Oklahoma, and I know that's a bold statement for something out of a trailer, and yet it's true. These guys just took over ownership a couple weeks ago so I expect it to get even better with time. TULSA IS WINNING. I absolutely stalk good bbq places and so I usually don't put too much stock in them meeting me expectations. But when you see Nick pull that brisket out of that brown waxed paper and watch the jiggle as he slices through that amazing bark, you'll realize you've hit the jackpot. We grabbed the food for 2 and it was an incredible sampler of all of their meats. And the sides... GET THE BACON CHEESE GRITS. Holy moly rolly poly that little styrofoam cup should come with a warning label because it's absolutely ridiculous. The chicken was so juicy, I was almost more impressed by it honestly. But brisket of this tier is just such a rare find... the other two with me easily admitted it was the best they've had in their entire life. Ribs too. We also didn't expect to be able to find an open patio on a Saturday, but the outdoor space provided created such a laid back experience with the outdoor tables I felt like I could kick back, eat some Q and let all the stresses of the world melt away. Go. Just go. Go now. The lines on this place are going to be a mess soon, I'm sure. So get there now before everyone and their dog starts standing in line until they sell out like a certain unnamed Ft Worth place I know.
