100% recommend this threading salon! I went with a friend who had a groupon deal for it, which I didn't use, but the price was a really good deal and the threading job was so good! My eyebrows still look good and it's been a week or two. There was no wait despite a revolving door of customers, and it was nicely-paced, not too busy but not too dead. The threading itself took almost less than a minute, and I've got some bushy brows. I was also expecting to be much redder than I was afterwards; hardly any pain or redness after a few minutes had passed. Much better than waxing or plucking for sure. The ladies working when I went were very professional and very obviously know what they're doing - she didn't really take time to ask what I wanted, but she probably knew better than I did anyway and they turned out perfect! I'm sure if I had spoken up or asked she would have taken the time to hear me out :). Also there was a nice level of conversation, which I usually find difficult at salons, and they explained the process and the benefits while they worked. The location is nice and kept clean, and they had relaxing spa music playing too. My friend had the "tint" done as well, which was a nice light dusting of tinted powder with an expert hand - it looked fantastic and honestly I think it's worth the price to have it done at least once, especially if you're new to coloring your brows or are a bit heavy handed. I think they changed management here because the woman that I used to LOVE is no longer here. That's a shame because she consistently threaded my eyebrows with skill. I returned here for the first time in four months today and had a terrible experience. 1) The service was SLOW. My brows were already fairly manicured and I was there for at LEAST 20 minutes. 2) The woman commented on the fact that I had a few minor zits on my forehead. WTF? Not only is that rude, but it's completely unnecessary and far from professional. And the zits were so minor that you could only see them if you were up close and personal with my face!! Why point that out? You don't even know me! 3) She took off MUCH MORE hair from my brows WITHOUT ASKING ME. She just DID it. Now, my eyebrows have a severe random arch in them. It's like my brows consist of angular lines now. Apparently she just "assumed" that I liked them that way. WTF WTF WTF. I now look like I have expressions on my face that my face doesn't even naturally make! 4) The price went up from $8 to $10. I don't mind paying more than $10 for GOOD brows, which I did not leave with. This was just an overall awful experience and I am never returning again. I will drive 20 miles somewhere else because the thing with brows is that they're on your face for the entire world to see. And now my brows are something out of a geometry class. read more

I've been going here for about a year, and I love it. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for a few years (I refuse to attack the beast alone). The only service I've had here is an eyebrow threading, so I'll speak to that. The shop is clean, the employees are sweet, efficient and professional, and the services are reasonably priced ($10 for eyebrows). Even when the shop is super busy, they don't push you out like a lot of other salons will. I recently moved from Chapel Hill to Durham, and I'm still going to Style Brows because they do such a good job, and I can go about 3 weeks between services. Definitely recommend. read more

I just moved from NY and was petrified to have my eyebrows threaded at a new place. Naturally, the first words to come out of my mouth were, "I don't want them too thin, JUST cleaned up!" The woman (who I believe was the owner) laughed and told me to look at her own brows & then told me that girls love coming there BECAUSE the employees don't thread them too thin. Needless to say, not only were my eyebrows still full, but the shape was gorgeous. Way better than the place I loved so much in NY! First time getting my brows and lip threaded, not too painful. The process was pretty quick and they take credit card. It's open pretty much all the time so everyone just walks in and gets out within 15 to 20 minutes! The Chinese ladies working were so nice and hilarious, since I could speak to and understand them. I am very happy I decided to have threading done at this establishment. This was my first time ever having done threading, and it proved to be almost painless for me. It was certainly a lot less painful than plucking hairs one by one on my own. They offer threading services on parts of the body other than the eyebrows as well, which was the case for me. Great place to get brows done. I got my brows done twice here and was happy with my experience. The service was great and the skill she had was what I have been looking for quite a while. I had some bad experiences in the past where they would take to much off and it would take forever to grow them back! I exclusively go to style brows to have my eyebrows done and I will not let anyone else touch them. Rachel and her team are incredibly skilled and my eyebrows consistently look amazing. Rachel just understands how to shape eyebrows correctly and it's a skill that not many estheticians have. I have very sparse eyebrows and she always finds a way to make them look good. I would highly recommend Style Brows and have sent many of my friends there. Just got back from getting my eyebrows threaded here for the first time, and I am impressed! I have always had unruly brows, so I've been getting my eyebrows done for about 8 years now. However, I'm used to getting them waxed and had only gotten them threaded on one other occasion. In my previous experience, the process was hurried and it hurt enough where my eyes started watering a lot, despite my pretty high pain tolerance, but this place was so much better. Since I recently moved back to this area, the place I usually go to is about an hour away. I am pretty skeptical about trying out new places, especially after my first experience getting my eyebrows done in this area was horrible, but I couldn't delay any longer. After researching numerous places, I decided to give Style Brows a try, considering its decent reviews, prices, and convenient location in relation to where I am at, and I have to say I was not disappointed. I called and asked if I needed an appointment. The woman said I could just walk in, which is convenient since I don't always have much free time. I walked in and was seated in a chair immediately. The woman started working right away. I did not feel any pain, she took her time, and the results turned out great. It was $10, and I could pay with my credit card, no problem. They also have a punch card for 10 paid trips, get one free. I'll be back here next time I need them done! read more

I have been going to Style Brows since they moved the Kiosk to a more private space. I love Rachel!!! She is really amazing!!! I always feel brand new after getting my threading done! I usually get my eyebrows and upper lip done and I am always highly satisfied and it only cost $15. I live in Durham and will drive all the way to Chapel Hill because I love how consistently great of a job is done!! They take their time and I never feel rushed no matter how many people are waiting! I've been going to Style Brows for about a year, and I've been consistently impressed with the service I get there. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for more than five years, but Rachel really knows how to shape my brows. I have very thick brows and I like them to look naturally full, and she never takes off too much. It usually takes her less than ten minutes to do both brows and my upper lip, and the cost is very reasonable ($15 for brows and lips). I always ask for Rachel when she's available, but I've had other stylists do my brows as well and I've never been disappointed. I wouldn't trust my face to anyone else! read more

I am VERY particular about my eyebrows and would rather rock a unibrow until I find someone good than have someone mess up my eyebrow. I've had some really bad experiences before. I was so happy when I found Rachel at Style Brows. I LOVE Style Brows and have been going to Rachel for the past 6 years since before she opened Style Brows. She really does such a great job and will talk with you about what shapes look best on you.
