I have been shopping here for 10 years and the new ownership is terrible. The owner is rude and unprofessional, she didn't fold the clothes she decided not to purchase, she just tossed them into the container like trash. The customer service wasn't horrible as we barely spoke to the sales associate, just greeted each other. This store is not for anyone under the age of 30, not many trendy or new options just florals and ruffles. Store is very crowded and it takes awhile for them to go through your items, almost 2 hours for a large bag for me. The staff for the most part are friendly, I didn't feel all warm and welcome by any means, but that's ok. There are a lot of items in the store and not much walking space, not very many high end items to chose from either. I cannot say enough great things about this store, after taking my items to several very well known "consignment stores" all over houston, that didnt even bothered to look at my nice high end pieces, (because they weren't taking stuff for now they said) which means they really don't sell much.....I was recommended style encore, I tell you, staff is friendly and super organized, they took almost all my items. Don't even waste your time going here. The staff can care less about the customer. Don't expect to be greeted or even treated like a human being. My latest experience was disappointing- of course. I CALLED before driving to the location to inquiry what they were accepting and store hours. I was told "everything" but "are very specific on what items" and that they close at 8. I arrived around 4:15 p.m. with 2 bags of items and a Kate Spade purse - even a customer in line wanted it from me. They said they wouldn't take any items because it was after 2:00 p.m.! I told them that I called and nobody told me that on the phone. You need 6 hours to assist customers? 6 hours before closing. Absolutely ridiculous- worst establishment ever. read more

Style Encore buys your previously owned clothes and then resells them at a profit however I've been there 3 times in a row and without even looking at my items turned me away because they are understaffed. 'We're not taking any more items today, already backed up with items to review'. To the business owner..hire more competent employees. The staff was so kind & helpful. Great selection of clothes, perfect for finding work stuff and party dresses. I got a gorgeous Kate Spade dress which looked brand new for a great deal. Plus, with the value of my trade in (I brought a bag of clothes to sell to them), I only ended up spending $15 and I got 6 new dresses & 2 necklaces. I use to come here all the time, buy and sell clothing items and always was a happy customer. Unfortunately, today I drove an hour and even called before I got on the road to make sure that they were buying today. The representative told me as long as I am there before three pm they will take the clothes to review to see if they will purchase. This place is plato's closet all grown up. You won't find a hot pink ruffled crop top in here! At the same time you won't find Granny clothes in here either. I got alot of my work clothes here at fantastic prices and great quality. On avg, you'd pay around $7 for a nice blouse...not too shabby. There's a great selection of sizes, variety of clothing, etc as well. The women who work there are very nice and helpful. Overall I love this place and go whenever I can. read more

Today was my first time in. I came to sell some shoes & handbags, and not only was Koshandra extremely helpful and fast, but I got a pretty penny for my items. During the 20 mins I waited for my quote, I looked at all the cool stuff they have. Great brands like Banana Republic and White House Black Market for like ten bucks. I will definitely be back. I cannot see myself buying staple clothes items anywhere else. Also, they carry even sizes 2-20 I believe so something for everyone. This prices are very reasonable at Style Encore. You can find designer items for a very good price!! The quality of some of the items they sell can be very poor though. As I was looking around I was wondering why would they buy this from someone? Leather on purses would look extremely worn & diamonds or jewels would even be missing from certain merchandise. Don't waste your time selling clothes here!! Half of the clothes I brought in were dry cleaned. They told me they were interested in my items but that they were sneezing when going through my clothes so they couldn't buy anything?!! The staff here is extremely rude and unprofessional- it takes 2 hours for them to go through bins because they spend their time gossiping and texting on the phones. This place is awful and I've given it many chances and have awful selling and shopping experiences. Save your time and go somewhere else. read more

I called at 10am to ensure the store would purchase size 12 Ann Taylor pants due to the website stating only size 0-6 would be accepted. The rep ensured the store was open an would purchase the size and brand. When I arrived at 10:30am, the rep stated the computer system was down and could not make any transactions. She apologized and asked me to come back after 1:30pm because she had to call the system provider for assistance with getting the register back online. Frustrated, yet understanding, I left. I called the store back at 3pm and asked if their system was back up and if they were purchasing clothes. The rep stated "Yes, the system is back up and we are accepting purchases". I told the rep I would be on my way. I arrived at 3:45pm and the rep told me they aren't making purchases. I told the rep I just spoke with someone on the phone & the rep replied "Oh, it wasn't us, we just started our shift". Then another rep chimed in and said, "we aren't trained to make purchases on the evening shift". Not 1 time was I informed over the phone that there was a certain time for purchases to be made & the rep specifically asked me to return "after 1:30pm". This is ridiculous. A waste of time and gas, due to poor communication and management on the store's behalf. read more

I came in over the weekend and tried to find anything for myself, and they were okay. The store is a tight fit between aisles and separated by tops and bottoms. The struggle I found was that the plus size clothes, while in one section, are all mixed together and not by size. Staff was very friendly, but clientele were rude on a Sunday afternoon. This store is also attached to a Platos Closet where teenagers have attitudes and the cashier gave me an up and down glare. Less than pleasant for someone who was in the store next door. I felt so uncomfortable from the clientele and cashier that I left without buying anything. read more

I at first really liked this store and had high hopes for future shopping. Yesterday was my second time there and it will be my last . First off, this store is WAY too small and congested for the amount of inventory they have . Walking amongst the aisles is not only cumbersome and annoying but almost dangerous . The staff members are constantly in the way putting items up and not allowing customers to effectively shop/look. Stocking shelves can be done when there's not a store full of customers there . In addition , the prices are totally expensive . You may be Able to find select clearance items, but since they changed the policy on what the yellow tags now mean, the savings are not the best. Most of the sizes are XS and Small, and the checkout lines are inappropriate and really unacceptable . I waited 30 mins to checkout for one item and eventually gave up, put the item back, and left without it because I got good and sick of waiting in line . Bottom line- you're better off finding that "Stab in the dark " at a thrift store . I won't be back . read more
