This place really needs to have more than Five stars. Its a great small salon in weho... I and my girl friend both go to this salon. I wear a bald head which Flo shaves for me and my girl has a full head weave. She can do it all. Not to mentions shes tones of funa dn will keep you laughing. The setting is private and never over crowed. Feels like you are in New York. You can book your appointments on line 24/7 at her website www.stylesbyflo.com which is quick and simple. I think that may be my favorite part becaue if I can't call during normal buisness hours I can still make an appointment at 2am and she will be there the next day ready and waiting. As far as my girl friends hair She has never looked better. Flo really knows how the bring out the sexy in a woman. The way she installs her weave if i didn't know how her real hair looked i would never know she had a weave... and this is coming from a man. I notice everything!! My Girl tells me The way she shapes each style for the indivisual customer is amazing. She likes to call her the hair hero lol. Flo Witherspoon is an unprofessional fraudulent thief. I should have read the negative yelp reviews prior to giving her a $25.00 deposit for a hair service. The dingy and dusty salon was extremely hard to find. I even called her and asked her to provide me with a landmark of her location. This being my first time I came in late. She then insisted on me wearing a mask. I told her I had a sinus procedure that would block my breathing. She stated "You can come back after you feel better." Her energy and the look of the salon made me ask for my deposit back. She then stated "I will have to wire it back to you which would take 7 business days." A week went by I contacted her and asked her about the status of my refund. She replied "Due to your tardiness and refusing to wear a mask, you will not be refunded." What type of professional business woman lies about returning someone's hard earned money and steals? I had a procedure and was upfront from the get go. She clearly lacks critical thinking and business savvy skills. Flo Witherspoon is a disgraceful thief. There are a lot of other upscale, educated and classy stylists/owners that do not steal individuals deposit for a service that was never performed. I have been going to Flo since April and I have to say, I have NEVER had a hair stylist who is as talented, professional, and caring. When I first met Flo - she met my transitional hair (growing out perm...Hello au naturale!) I just took out my braids and was ready for a change - something soft and sweet! I was so tired of going to salons where I have to hear everyone's business and the hairdresser did not give diddly-squat about me as a customer. In the old days, I use to walk in with dry hair and leave with dry hair. Not Ok. But Flo...she took my ugly duckling mess of hair and styled it Swan-like. It was BEAUTIFUL!!! She gave me a beautiful trim (did not EVER get scissor happy) and made me feel confident with long, luxurious, silky, black hair. It was AMAZING. People came from right and left, begging me to tell them who did my hair. Even though fairy tales are, well fairy tales, I have found the fairy godmother for hair and she works on Sunset & Vine. I have went to tons of Beauty shop, or should I say monster shops in town and out. I came across Styles by Flo looking at her work I had to call. Distance wasnt a conern. I drove to Hollywood one Saturday with my hair lookin like hurricane. She sat me down and drapped me. She washed my hair in some type of wsampoo that made my scalp like WOW. Then blew me out, but craziest thing was when she started my weave. I get these all the time and never do my circle braids be close. I always asked other stylist and they never do I didnt even.had to ask Flo. Then started the glam process. She did her thing putting me back togeather. Im going to call her the glammer police, because wat she didnt know was when I can an sat in her chair that Saturday morning I was feeling down but when she was finish baby I was 100 times better. This is hands down one of my favorite salons in the town. It's like a family reunion when u go to Taylor rose. The staff gets along great and it trickles down to the clients. We all have a bond and the energy is the best. Now let's talk hair Flo and Danea are the extension gurus. They come to slay. Your hair will be flawless... Out on a whim to find something new and closer to me, I stumbled across this... ok fine, no I didn't. I actually couldn't find it at first, had to circle the block twice to find the one-way. It's not like it was hidden behind anything, I was just looking for it in the wrong place! Go figure.... the sign that says Lion Salon is High so look up... I called in about a half hour before arriving to see if they would take walk-ins. I have the pleasure of meeting and being styled by flo. Styles by flo still is in business but htey now have more workers in a beautiful small shop in the heart of west hollywood ca. They have a amazing offers for first time customers and offer every service imagianable. I love there extensions. the methodes they use I have never seen before. Styles by Flo, is doing amazing things. Not only is she an amazing stylist she is an amazing salon owner. She does my hair extensions and they are the best in ever had. The technique she uses makes my hair look so natural not even people who know me can't tell. The salon is kinda hidden but I love the low key location. I came home to Bakersfield and had the crazy idea to comb my locs out of my hair. After a year of locking my hair, it was healthy and thick but in bad need of a trim and some loving care. I immediately thought of Flo, made the call and three days later was making the 2 hour drive to see her. In a short period of time, my hair was pressed, trimmed and beautifully curled. Completely different than anything I've ever had done but it fit me so well. It is so difficult to find hair stylists in California that can work with natural hair and work it so well but Flo is definitely one of them. Flo pressed my hair sooooo good!! I got my hair pressed a week ago and its still fresh and bouncy like the first day i got it done. I love Styles by Flo. I went to the salon for the first Time ever and Got a Press and Flat Iron. Flo did my hair so good. She washed and Conditioned it then Pressed and Flatironed it. My hair is so bouncy and shiny. I also got some Hair bling. The "Pastel showers" color is my fav. There are so many to chose from it's hard to make a decision, and they have feathers too omg. I, Temore Bristel, went down to the Lion Salon. I was suppose to have another lady do my hair, but she never called me back. So I decided to show up, but she wasn't there. So I looked around for somebody to do my hair and I end up meeting Flow. I asked if she could do my hair, she said yes. After my hair got done, everybody loved it.
