It's definitely not something you do if you are looking for "healthy" hair. You will experience breakage. If you don't take care of them, you can experience dreading when they drop. I get keratin bond extensions. It is rough on your natural hair. Especially if it's fine texture like mine. Gigi is so gentle with the removal. My natural hair actually doesn't look that bad when they're removed. She has done an amazing job with the installations and removals she's done. I am so happy I have found her. The entire top was a frizzy mess and there was curls throughout so it was a mix of frizzy curls and straightness. It was also an entirely different color even though I got my hair done there last time. Why change my color? It looks black. I wanted my natural hair color and came to a salon so the color can get mixed and matched; I wanted my grays covered. Now in a few weeks my lighter hair will show and I will have roots; my lighter hair will make it look like I have more gray. Also I look half dead because the super dark color makes me look pale and really sick. I also had an appointment scheduled but still had to wait 30 minutes. $109 to completely mess up my hair With the cost of the bundle plus having to pay someone else to actually cut my hair plus the cost of my shirt plus the cost of having to color my hair in a month instead of being able to wait several months...that is several hundred dollars This place is terrible. I wanted lighter color to my brown hair, but was afraid it would ruin my curls as color has done to me in the past. He assured me a balayage would give soft highlights without changing my curls and would also be easy to maintain. That was true! He did a fantastic job and it looked so great!! So I came back for an update. I booked the first available appointment (which I guess was Betty). When I sat down and told her I booked a balayage, she asked me why? I told her it was what was recommended last time I came in. She talked me out of it saying that highlights were the same thing (they aren't!) and she said highlights were actually cheaper (which turned out to be false because I was charged the same amount as a balayage). I should have left and gone somewhere else. I went against my gut and got highlights and now my curls are stringy and dry. The color doesn't compliment my natural tones at all. I'm so sad. I also asked specifically for layers that would not look like a triangle on my head. Now I have two distinct layers that are triangles of ugly frizzy curls. Sorry Orlando, I will not be back. If you've got curly hair, I recommend you keep looking for somewhere else.
