I asked a few more clarifying questions to him and he agreed to come out and do a more detailed bid for the project. Upon meeting him he was very pleasant, friendly and honest about his work and the project. He was one of the few that disclosed that he values customer satisfaction and wants to do quality work. I decided to go with Eco Electric and setup a date to have them do the work. I paid the deposit and Daniel came out to get the check since I was nor comfortable sending in the mail which was what I had expected. Today his crew came out to do the job and they were amazing, friendly, respectful with my property, did the job in the time specified, were clean and neat and the install looks professional. They cleaned up after the job and followed up with me about the inspection that is the final step. The inspector was impressed with their work and commented on the attention they paid to the codes. The job is complete and done very well. Daniel is always really responsive on Yelp IM (even late on weekends), he understood my project and was very cost competitive (I would say even way less than others). He let me know what to expect and kept his date for when the install was to happen (good thing the rain went away for a few days). They sent the bid and texted to let me know it was sent. I accepted the price and Ron came out to begin at the time he said he'd come. I had a couple items that didn't show up on schedule so we needed to have him come back to finish the shower door and finishing work, and they fit it in as soon as possible. He was nice to us and our kids and was a pleasure to have around. When I realized I wanted to add more jobs, he gave me good quotes quickly. He did a Fix it job on my upper dish washer rack, put up two replacement lights with dimmer in my kitchen, replaced my powder room light and replaced my old pedestal sink with a vanity I purchased and a light I bought and some accessories for TP and towels and painted the powder room. He also nailed some loose trim and put up a barndoor and a shower door. I had water damage from a poorly installed previous contractors shower door and he made any sign of that damage disappear as well as helping make a bad tile job look less obvious by putting in a cool trim piece over some of it. He even grooved out the back of the trim to make it level. Because the cost was likely to be high, I emailed Daniel to ask for the range of the cost. He then offered to come to my house to give me a free estimate. If you have ever called any electricians, you should know most electricians bill based on trip charge (basic fee) plus labor time and material. Even they do nothing, they still charge for just showing up at the door. I was very happy that Daniel was willing to come out to give me a free estimate. This just makes him distinguishable from other electricians. He gave me a very detailed estimate. The price was reasonable, so I accepted it. Later I told him that I might need to replace an indoor outlet as it's loose. He offered to do it for free! What a wonderful customer service! Moses was the one who actually showed up to do the work.
