Strands did a great job replacing a failed GFCI and I appreciated their fair and transparent pricing.

I just had great experience working with Daniel and Moses to wire and install an outdoor outlet for our new AC unit. Because the cost was likely to be high, I emailed Daniel to ask for the range of the cost. He then offered to come to my house to give me a free estimate. If you have ever called any electricians, you should know most electricians bill based on trip charge (basic fee) plus labor time and material. Even they do nothing, they still charge for just showing up at the door. I was very happy that Daniel was willing to come out to give me a free estimate. This just makes him distinguishable from other electricians. He gave me a very detailed estimate. The price was reasonable, so I accepted it. Later I told him that I might need to replace an indoor outlet as it's loose. He offered to do it for free! What a wonderful customer service! Moses was the one who actually showed up to do the work. He's very polite and friendly. He explained to me his work. He was very patient with me when I didn't understand his explanation. He was great to work with. He also cleaned up after his work. We purchased a 1969 built home in Redmond and we were looking to update our 100 amp panel to 200 amp panel and had other minor Electrical work. We requested a quote from Strands electric and we were scheduled for a free in home consultation. The owner of the company himself visited us at our home and provided us couple of options and walked through the entire process in detail and we got the quote by end of the day which was definitely very competitive. 10/27 update: The guys came out and did a great job on wiring the house with ethernet, removing an old mounted tv and putting up our tv, and fixing a couple of light switches. Super friendly and professional. Masked up the entire time. Managed to work around the furnace and didn't have to make any new holes/ports. Good prices and didn't go over the quote. Given the Covid uptick in business for home offices, I can see why they took a while to get back to me. They are a small family owned business which I always try to support but be patient (more patient than I was) when waiting for a response. He not only gets the job done efficiently and well, but also takes the trouble to explain the work so that you're in the know about your home. He came by to install several timer lights, and carefully walked us through their functionality and setting them up. We had an issue with a flickering light after he came by, and Daniel was great in returning to investigate the problem. Well it was so good to get our last light fixture up but we needed help on this one since it was on the second floor of our new foyer. They came on time and added so much benefit by being careful of our house, changing the length of the chain by 6 inches, painting a bit around the new fixture, and messing with the light bulbs, new LEDs until they dimmed with perfection. Heaven~~~ we had two other quotes that were more involved with scaffolding and cost cost cost. While trimming the hedges, we accidentally snipped the wire to the trimmer. This oddly caused all the cable TVs to stop working, but leave the Internet and IP phone working. None of the circuit breaker was tripped. I thought we fried some of the components. Danny explained over the phone that, on older homes, it is not always obvious. He suggested to try reset the GFIC and switches in the fuse box even though they are all in the on position. That did the trick. Save me $ for having cable company and electrician coming out to the house. Danny provided very helpful simple tips so I can help myself instead of trying to take advantage of the situation. Had a great experience with Dany. His expertise, professionalism, and speed were impressive. I've worked with several contractors in the past, but no electricians. The experience Dany delivered was better than all others. He was highly respectful of my home (he wore those booties whenever inside - and never asked if he needed to) and always provided good ideas and solutions to my problems. I had him running the full day doing all the electrical work that's been stacking up at my house over the years. * Running a new line through the attic to power in-floor heating for the upstairs bathrooms (test & setup) * Split the line and run to the master bathroom (in anticipation of when I can get around to installing that heated floor) * Got rid of "ghost switches" in three rooms and plumbed new lines and installed new fixtures in each room. * Installed under-cabinet LED lighting and connected all the lines to run off a single switch (lines were connected over the sink, through the ceiling). The first time I called Dany, it was to solve a complex phone line problem in my detached office - one that had made Century Link toss up their hands and walk away. He figured it out, cheerfully and quickly - he was literally jogging between my office and the basement of my house as he worked. Months later he installed under-cabinet lighting in my kitchen. He was great about emailing questions, suggestions and photos beforehand, provided a clear and reasonable estimate, and did a neat job.
