The tech they sent spent an hour looking around, trying to find the problem. He said he couldn't solve it but we still got charged $411. He said he would have to send someone else. Any estimate for the job? No - he couldn't even make an estimate. When I called Adam, he said they would send a more experienced tech. Why not send someone qualified the first time? What about the charge for showing up and not doing anything? "That's our normal fee?" So, will we be charged for a new estimate? "It's still $250 to show up." Really? I told him we didn't want them anymore and we would like at least a partial refund. He agreed to a refund of $125, but the refund didn't come. I called again and he said they had a miscommunication. Now it would be sent. Still no refund ... We found a new person, a handyman - he said it was challenging, but he found the broken connection and he only charged us $250. Mirsky? Never again ...

Our panel was done fairly recently by another Seattle electrician. Unfortunately, we had a lot of…read moreproblems with the panel and we were constantly tripping circuits. Marcus came out to take a look, suggested some cleanup and breaker replacements, and did the job within a day. I have seriously not had a single breaker trip since then, which is amazing since before I was having to trek out there a couple times a day. Marcus pointed out places where the previous installation was failing us, and what he was doing to bulletproof it. Marcus also installed a Jackery 5000 and Smart Transfer Switch setup for us. This will give us a lot of peace of mind if the power goes out, that we can immediately switch to backup power.

Because the cost was likely to be high, I emailed Daniel to ask for the range of the cost. He then offered to come to my house to give me a free estimate. If you have ever called any electricians, you should know most electricians bill based on trip charge (basic fee) plus labor time and material. Even they do nothing, they still charge for just showing up at the door. I was very happy that Daniel was willing to come out to give me a free estimate. This just makes him distinguishable from other electricians. He gave me a very detailed estimate. The price was reasonable, so I accepted it. Later I told him that I might need to replace an indoor outlet as it's loose. He offered to do it for free! What a wonderful customer service! Moses was the one who actually showed up to do the work.
