Our A/C went out in the middle of a house demolition. You know it's unbearable with this Florida Heat. I called few ac companies last minute and some charged a pretty hefty service fee. Eddie from Sub Zero Air Conditioning was very sweet, knowledgeable and got us an appointment right away with a lesser fee that was waived into any service needed. At first we couldn't make the time he had available and he worked with us to ensure they were at the property when we could be there. Mike showed up just in time and fixed our issue. Super thankful for these guys! They've been servicing our HVAC unit at the beginning of the summer season for the past couple years, but I'm compelled to write a review now because they were a life saver during this years cold spells. Our heating unit (which doesn't get used often) was not working properly, and Sub-Zero came out the same day we called to get it looked at, so that we would not have to be without heat during a possible overnight freeze. They also told my husband that they were working late that day, so that people (especially the elderly) would not be without heat. These guys provide great service at reasonable rates, and never try to sell you anything you don't need. I would highly recommended if you need any of your HVAC system looked at. read more

First time I called they came out right away to fix the a/c. Second time I called was on a Saturday and got an answering machine, left a message, but didn't hear from them until Monday. As always, AC problems seem to hit on a July weekend as an emergency. I called after hours and they called me back the next morning bright and early. Yesterday I arrived home from the Dentist to find the house was hot.Still groggy from the anesthesia from the root canal I had just had,I crashed on the couch and when I woke up later the house was even hotter.I called Subzero around 5 PM and Eddie said that they could be there the next morning.Around 8:30 AM Eddie called saying they were on their way.It took them only a few minutes to determine that a new capacitor was needed,which they replaced and they also fixed a few other small problems that they noticed.This is the third time I've used Subzero and they are the only guys I will let work on my AC because they are quick,polite and charge reasonable rates. read more

Like the previous reviewers, I felt compelled to share my experiences with Sub-Zero (Mike and Eddie). To start with, they are accessible, leave them a message after hours and expect a call by 9:00am the next morning...I have done it 3 times and 3 times they called me first thing the next morning. Second, they do good work. They have done all sorts of work for me (heating and cooling) and they always fixed it right, the first visit. Third, they are super fair on pricing and with their time. Highly recommend Sub-Zero AC. Our AC was getting weaker and weaker. Before calling Sub-Zero, we had another company assess our problem. We read reviews and used someone who had generally positive reviews. Very disappointing experience. They made no repairs and basically wanted to sell us a new unit for over $4,000. It seemed odd that a unit, although an older unit, that was working well enough a few weeks ago, would suddenly need to be replaced without any repairs possible. Called Sub-Zero and had a completely different experience. Eddie discovered freon leaks and loose valve caps. He showed us the problem, discussed what might have caused it and offered some choices for remedies. Eddie made repairs, added freon and AC was back to normal. He said with a unit of our brand and age freon leaks are typical and eventually the amount and cost of repairs make purchasing a new unit a wise choice. He advised reassessing the situation should we experience additional problems. For now, we are cool and comfortable thanks to Sub-Zero. The price was reasonable. Eddie was polite, clear in his communication and practical with his recommendations. In the future I will only be calling Sub-Zero for any AC work. read more
