Dragon's balls, it's just frozen fruitloops what a joke.
Ashley A.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Horrible and rude service. The ice cream is sub par at best. The workers pretend not to speak English or understand you if you ask questions or have a complaint. Will not be returning. FYI Dragon's balls, it's just frozen fruitloops what a joke. Not clearly described on menu. I was there with a group of my students. My student tried to get a refund and all the workers pretended not to speak English. My students do not have a lot of money, I ended up having to buy her an ice cream to replace it.

I really could give it zero stars, but it won't let me. Very cool idea!! So i wanted a treat after dinner. What better than ice cream. I asked a few questions and the woman behind the counter just didn't speak English. I believe that if you are taking orders you should know how to speak enough to take orders. I asked for PB Instead of caramel on my sundae. She just looked at me and put it on anyway. Then I said I wanted PB Cups and she put heath bars. I asked again for more pB sauce on top. She put the whipped cream on and then some (very little) on top of the whipped cream, so i got no PB with the actual ice cream. Just disappointed

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very delicious, pretty decent service, and nice interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only thing is the price is a little expensive. A small nitrogen ice cream was over 8 bucks. It was really cool to see how they make it with nitrogen tho. Would recommend if you are willing to spend a bit extra for a cold treat.

I came here for a sweet treat after leaving a Yelp event. I stumbled across this place as I was walking down the street and saw the sign. I said why not and dropped in. I got the peanut butter scoop. The customer service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was quiet.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was able to get and enjoy my scoop pretty quickly.

Queenieko M.

You're as coooooooold as ice! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was so cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I like the fact they have so many selections that you can choose from. The ice cream was very delicious and tasted very fresh. The toppings were not over powering either. The staff were very nice and helpful also. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was clean and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The prices are very affordable also! I most definitely recommend this.

4. Peanut Butter Bonds Combination
Divya J.

Got the 'Peanut Butter Bonds' combination. It had chunks of brownies that were too sweet. But overall the flavor of the peanut was good. The ice cream itself isn't anything out of the ordinary. You pretty much pay for the concept of 'liquid nitrogen' ice cream. They don't let you sample the flavors before ordering! :(

Sub Zero is located across the street from Centennial Park, near the Georgia Aquarium. They are busy on a Friday night and the service was quick and friendly. We ordered 2 dragons breath, strawberry dessert storm, Mango and strawberry smoothie. My kids enjoyed the dragons breath and it kept them entertained. Both smoothies were your typical smoothies, nothing special. The dessert storm was a strawberry shake with a donut on top. Between my kids and husband they didn't finish this until the next day, it was delicious but too sweet. Solid place for dessert if you're looking for something sweet near the aquarium.

Cookies n Cream
Rob C.

I was told the cookies n cream was the best seller - so I went with that. Very sweet, but good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the service and the atmosphere was ideal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My wife tried the "mocha madness" - and I realized I should have gotten that instead as it tasted better imo. On top of that, the way they make the ice cream is a sight to behold. Would recommend

Stopped in for a sweet treat between the aquarium and World of Coke attractions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The concept is so fun!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I opted for the Dragon's Breath. Unfortunately, I didn't know what it was when I ordered. I was thinking they were ice creams balls or ice balls with nitrogen, but they are actually like freeze dried cereal balls. So not the icy cool treat I was hoping for, but they were super fun! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I docked 1-star for cleanliness. The tables were gross.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Lemon Italian Ice
Aether G.

I ordered the lemon Italian ice. I'd give it a 7/10. It was more sweet than the lemon ice cream I was expecting. It stained my lips and teeth so keep that in mind when you consume. I also tried the dragon's breath balls thing. They're okay. 5/10. It's like eating fruit loops. This isn't something I'd particularly order but my friends really like it. The root beer float was also my friends but it looked cool and yummy. Inside was clean, service was good. The employees speak spanish which was cool as a Mexican visiting Atlanta. It's nice to speak my native language out here where I don't expect it lol. I would return to try other ice cream. The experience was pretty cool honestly.

We were downtown recently and love Sub Zero! This has even more toppings & options than the locations we have been too!! Loved it!!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Friendly team, great service, and very popular spot!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Worth it!!

Butter pecan ice cream (not creamy, no nuts, and was tasteless)
Sandra K.

Not sure how this place thrives. The employees don't speak English well and had to consult each other when asked questions. We ordered butter pecan ice cream (hubby's fav). It had no nuts in it at all and the flavor was way off, and bland. I had the green tea ice cream and it too tasted strange ... not like green tea, at all. It tasted more like key lime flavoring. We asked for sugar-free ice cream and the employees didn't understand then said "no", then "yes". So, still we don't know what we received. The ice cream was not creamy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was not clean inside (tables and floors).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This was by far the worse part of our tour downtown. We plan to continue with another tour soon and this will not be a stop! We have been business owners in a business that served food and know food regulations. The owner needs to clean this place up and make sure the employees comprehend English and most importantly that the ice cream flavors are good and the restaurant is clean. The prices are not cheap for the amount you get so one would expect to at least get good product. Horrible experience for us. Not recommended.

After a long work day, this was an excellent detour back home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great flavors, delicious ice cream, very cool setup, and overall a great time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking is free outside. Pros: rich flavors, unique, free parking Cons: pricier than expected Service was very quick. I recommend the lime cheesecake!

All the food that was agreed upon via the contract was not in this bag and it was cold. Instead of making it right, she communicated only providing a half of the money back and to perform additional services. Really?? In the contract she was supposed to have servers for the cocktail hour and reception, so no services were performed. Its been a week since no refund was given. It's one thing to perform fraud but is another mess up a couple's wedding date. Lawyers are having a field day with this one. The milkshakes were pretty but lacked flavor; specifically, ice cream! It was full of milk and whipped cream and bits of cake/cookie but ice cream should be the star of that show. If I'm being completely honest with you, I'm not the biggest fan of rollup ice cream. Mainly due to…read morethe fact that most of the base for the roll ups are made from water base. This makes the ice cream taste more on the icy side and it doesn't taste like ice cream. It tastes more along the lines of a creamy popsicle. This place makes their ice cream rolls taste like ice cream. I was absolutely SHOOK! The flavor was there and it was so creamy. Honestly, these are creamier than most store-bought ice cream tubs. it has a velvety nice smooth texture when you try to eat it. Yes they are still in rolls, but as soon as you put it on your tongue, it me melts like a real creamy ice cream. The owner actually explained to us that she also doesn't like rolled up ice cream that taste more on the Icey side, so she made sure that her dairy rolls were actually creamy. They do have nondairy options, but those will be on the ICE side. Nondairy milk tends to be water and plant or nut based. I really appreciated how welcoming the staff was. Shout out to this friendly black owned, and women owned small businesses really welcoming the Atlanta community! I love finding small businesses that have amazing service and quality food! It's actually funny because I came in here not really expecting much. But mainly because the aesthetics of the store. They have a little grass wall with purple neon lights and a swing, which is really cute. They have a big digital board with purple accents that shows all the different combinations you can have your ice cream rolls made and you can also make your own. While you're waiting for your ice cream. You can actually play some board games they provide for the customers. I think this place is really great for big groups and just to really hang out with your friends and a plus one for the bathrooms too! Friday Urban Picnics is run by the Atlanta Street Food Coalition, and held every last Friday of the month from March to October, 11-2pm. Location is the back of Sweet Auburn Curb Market. At today's picnic, I arrived around 11:45 and lucked out with finding a parking spot. Lines were very short too - but that all changed after 12. Good Food Truck and Yumbii were probably the most popular. Westside Creamery, The Pop Shop (or maybe it was The Pop Stop), and Black Tie BBQ were there, too. I think almost all items were under $10. Today I had Good Food's $5 Poodle which was to die for: French Toast hot dog bun, beef dog, apple maple slaw, ... and then they strongly encourage you to add maple syrup and spicy mustard. Whoa that was really yummy - messy to eat though and I had sticky fingers afterwards from the maple syrup but no complaints from me :) Next time I'm trying one of their savory cones filled w/ all kinds of goodies! The Indian rice crispy treat sounded intriguing, too (curry, coconut, and candied fennel seeds)! For dessert I had a $3 generous scoop of Westside Creamery's bourbon & bacon ice cream. Just a hint of bourbon flavor and surprisingly thick pieces of bacon throughout - honestly I was expecting bacon-infused flavor but my bad for expecting anything else but the real thing!! They had some great flavors to choose but I went with bourbon & bacon since the Westside guy said it was his favorite. I've already marked my calendar to make a field trip to the next several picnics b/c there are too many new things to try! Some tips: Bring cash. If you're lucky enough to find parking in the Sweet Auburn parking lot, it's free w/ validation - look for the table outside that validates tickets. Otherwise make a purchase inside to get parking validation. When I was driving back to work, I also found free parking available under the interstate - free for the first 90 minutes.
