1. If there's people ahead of you, expect a waiting time. I had 3 and waited 15 minutes. 2. There was 1 employee, and he did not greet me. It was my first time here and I explained it to him and he said "well the menu is pretty much there." I ignored the comment, proceeded with my order, and asked for the lemon ice Italian ice. 3. As he was making it, I figured my ice would be cold and icy right? But no. I questioned the texture to the employee and he said that's how it should be. Okayy. As I'm walking out to sit outside, my Italian ice was half melted already and it wasn't even hot out! 4. Went back and complained and asked for a receipt, when he never gave me one and the transaction had JUST happened. I was so confused, the employee wasn't there and just off. Also let me add, we must wear a face mask, but the employee never once washed his hands between transactions (handled cash), and never wore a face mask the time I was there. I must agree with a review I saw...Sub Zero needs to work on flavor and texture of their so call ice cream. Yes, it is Icey but not creamy, not enough flavor to enjoy it. The Nitrogen does nothing for the texture but freeze it to something like ice on a windshield. I really like flavorful frozen treats but, this is not it. Hours aren't correct online and they closed 2 hours before it says they closed. Gave them 1 star because I couldn't give them zero.

Their hours show they are open until 11:00 PM both here and on Google. We got to the restaurant at 10:00. We waited in line for a full ten minutes and made it to the front of the line before the employee very rudely told us they were closed and wouldn't be serving us. I'd understand if they let us know when we walked in the door, but letting us wait in line just to turn us away was very rude and unexpected. For this service I won't be back anytime soon. read more

I get the orange and white chocolate flavorings with premium lactose free ice cream with gummy bears and marshmallow cream. It sounds weird, but everyone that has tried my combo has fallen in love. NOTE: Tell the staff to put the gummy bears in after they freeze the ice cream or they will be rock hard. The inside is super clean and nicely decorated. The staff is funny and friendly (as well as helpful). Go ahead and ask for suggestions or advice, they've always given me an amazing tasty treat. :) Note: If the ice cream is too hard when you get it (it happens, no biggie), stir it until the consistency is soft enough for your liking. It can be a bit pricey, but only if you don't enjoy your treat. You have to know what combination of flavors and toppings would work well together. If you have a hard time with flavor harmony, it might taste bad and this will not be the place for you. If that's the case, go get your gallon of ice cream and shut your squawk-box. read more

The owner who was running the place all by himself was nice, but never apologized or acknowledged the delay. The ice cream itself was decent, but definitely not worth the wait. I wasn't a big fan of the texture of the ice cream either. It seemed a bit icee and I prefer it to be more smooth. If I have no other choices in the area.... Had my first experience at Subzero tonight! I am from the east coast, where frozen yogurt is on every corner so I was excited to give this a go...I would really give this place a 3.5 but thats not an option. When we arrived at Sub Zero there was a decent line. (Maybe 5 groups ahead of us, around 15 people) It took forever to reach the counter where you order! At least 25 mins waiting in line, but we were new so we waited. When you get up to counter they have a lot of different bases you can choose from, which i appreciated. I got the yogurt base (of course) and my boyfriend got the original which is the ice-cream base. Then you pick the flavors. They have a decent amount, ranging from the typical chocolate and vanilla to fruity flavors. Then you can add any mix-ins you like. They also have a good range of mix-ins. I got chocolate and coffee flavor with graham cracker and waffle cones pieces and my boyfriend got chocolate ice-cream with cookie dough mix-in. (Exciting, I know...but we were new and too scared to attempt any other combos.) Then they flash freeze it, which is a cool process to watch. Although, Im sure the more you come here the less exciting it will be. This is also obviously what takes so much time. However , I do think its cool they make them all individually. This place is pretty expensive..a small is $3.59 plus 50 cents per mix in. *They do offer a kids size!! This is not listed anywhere on the menu boards and is only available by request...so kind of a bummer. It was plenty for me, and I looooovvvee me so ice-cream. Ours together (his a small and mine a kids) was around 8$. So... not an every weekend thing but for a date night..why not?! The only other thing that turned me off about this place was that the workers didn't use gloves. They touch your cup inside and out and i don't know why but it just kinda grosses me out. Love this place. Be prepared for a long-ish wait. The last 3 times i went in there wanting their Italian ice but they were out of base syrup to make it so I ended up getting ice cream which I did not want but was still delicious. The most recent time I went in there wanting Italian ice the lady says, "oh your back! Sorry we're stillout I guess I should have made the base." Three times in a row!? This was honestly the worst ice cream I have ever had in my life. You walk in and see all the options and think oh sweet but let me tell you bad idea. The ice cream wasn't even ice cream it was sugar syrup pumped into a tub of cheap cream. My mom almost barfed when she took her first bite then proceeded to throw it away. Also, the workers were very bland and angry that we showed up even though there was 30 minutes left until closing. You would be better off getting a $1 frosty from Wendys than a $4 tub of badly sugared cream. read more
