This is a very nice restaurant besides a few downsides. The food is just.... Ehhh okay. My rolls looked beautiful, but there was way too much rice for my taste and the people I dined with. There was also too much sesame seeds. I had a few bites that tasted like an everything bagel. The fake wasabi crumbled when you tried to pick it up. Now for the service. We were seated quickly, but once our waitress knew the table next to us, not only were they served before us after arriving after us, they were able to get their food boxed and check paid for before us. And they got full on entrees. We only got sushi at my table. The waitress sat and ate an entire meal too while she was serving us. I'm not saying she shouldn't eat, but she should make sure she attends all her tables and not just the ones of people she knows. read more

Stopped here after work for a quick dinner. There's indoor and outdoor seating, the indoor seating is pretty limited so during busy hours there might be issues finding a spot inside. I got the shrimp tacos and they were delicious. They were packed with filling which made them a bit difficult to eat but I prefer that over sparse filling. $15 for two tacos is a bit pricey but in general seafood tacos aren't cheap. The tacos came with chips and some fresh pico which was good but difficult to eat as the chips didn't fit inside the little plastic cup. The waitress didn't seem too friendly bur she took my order and delivered the food in a reasonable amount of time and it didn't take away from my dining experience. Overall a nice spot for a meal especially if the weather is good and you can sit outside. read more

What a cute little neighborhood spot. Location is clean and comfy with some cool surfing decor. Outside seating is available and well-spaced out. The menu wasn't huge, but everything on it looked delicious. We were in the area and used Yelp to find a spot that offered egg dishes AND açaí bowls. Score! The egg white wrap I ordered was delicious! I was so excited to see Beyond breakfast sausage offered, and they didn't hesitate to let me add it. YUM! And it was big enough to be very filling! My husband ordered the breakfast tacos with Beyond sausage too. He really enjoyed it but was still a bit hungry after. We should've switched plates. The kids were more than happy with their half-size Dawn Patrol açaí bowls, and my toddler inhaled her yogurt parfait. Whenever I'm in the mood for a good acai bowl in an outdoor setting, I come here. They have a variety of acai bowls even pitaya bowls. I typically get the Aloha but today I tried the Sol and added almond butter, definitely a tasty pairing in combination with the Nutella. The sweet potato fries on the side were pretty good as well. My boyfriend & I were in the mood for a smoothie after leaving the zoo Sunday evening & found this gem hidden on yelp. The restaurant was empty except for one other couple dining inside when we arrived a little before 5:30. We seated ourselves against the booth and waited for one of the two servers on duty to greet us & present us with menus. This restaurant runs its lunch special until 5pm and from a short glance at the menu the items were all reasonably priced & there was an elaborate amount of options offered. From the foot/take out traffic, I could tell this restaurant was pretty popular locally. The dinner menu included a smaller list of options (still a great overall variety) & the prices were about double of those on the lunch menu. Even with pricer dinner options, the majority of the menu items seemed appealing & understanding the dynamics of the restaurant business I would not be turned off of patronizing based on price. On this visit we were not in the mood for a heavy meal at the time so we asked for the smoothie & Açaí bowl menu. After fighting over which bowl I wanted to try (every option not including peanut butter was a yes for me lol) I finally ordered the Aloha Açaí Bowl ($10). This bowl includes: Açaí, strawberries, banana, coconut, blueberries, pineapples, granola, chia & hemp seeds, & honey. The ingredients were fresh and the Açaí bowl was insanely flavorful. This place is a cute little island feel cafe. I was one of three other guests dining with them and I feel like service could have been a bit better given a. it was slow and b. there were 6 employees on the floor at a given time. It was odd that they were doing inventory with the door wide open, I feel like that should be a closed door activity. I got the Yellowfin Tuna Tacos, which we're pretty good but I wish there was just a piece or two more of tuna in each taco. You get a side of chips and pico de Gallo, chips were good and not too salty but the pico serving could be presented differently as the chips are much, much larger than the vessel. They never asked our name or called out the order when it was done. Apparently it was just sitting there. The staff is not on top of things. They are lazy and they have to look at the menu to know what's in the bowls. They have no urgency to put customers first or to get food out on time. They act like they are on vaca. I've been here several times, but unfortunately the service here has changed for the worse. Ordered vegan tacos that clearly stated on the menu it was made with mushrooms, and waited 20 minutes for them to come out on a quiet Saturday morning. Once they arrived we took a bite and the tacos were missing the mushrooms, and had doses of sour cream within it, which is not listed under the ingredients, and clearly isn't vegan. My husband politely went to the counter to inform the staff, and the chef came out and said he forgot the mushrooms and that indeed he put sour cream. If you have any food allergies and dietary restrictions, make sure you are checking your food as it seems they aren't familiar with their own menu. read more

This is a great stop when coming or going to the WPB airport. I was the only patron when I arrived and was cheerfully greeted by the waitress. I ordered a chai tea and it was ok. It seemed a little week, not enough of the different flavors. It got watered down too quickly so I drank water. I ordered the Palm Beach bowl and it was so good! It was served in a clear bowl so you could see the layers of ingredients. I should have ordered it without the blueberries, but didn't think of it. Try to get a scoop of everything. I'm not sure what's going on with them, but they need to work on logistics. Since they have smoothies and açaí bowls, it's the type of place where you think you could come in and order something at the counter quickly to go. When you first walk in and walk up there, it takes a while before anyone acknowledges you. I had 10 minutes before a workout class and ordered a smoothie, I was there only one standing there waiting for my order so you think it would be fast. Nope after 10 minutes I asked about it and it wasn't even in process yet, there is no communication between staff at all. I literally had to leave, go to my class and come back to get it afterwards. There were some additional specials on the board, which included impossible tacos (which sounded really good, but a little too much for what I was looking for). We all decided on various sandwiches and quesadillas, and everyone truly loved their meal. My friends and I actually visited Jo Bistro twice during our 4-day trip. The açaí was simply delightful. Creamy texture and great toppings. However, I am not convinced that anything else on the menu is over-the -top spectacular. We tried the lobster tacos which were yummy but very small for the price. We got a wrap and a smoothie that were both lack luster. The sushi also didn't look amazing. So, if you are craving açaí, absolutely go here! For everything else, do your research. Oh and I hated that I had to pay a dollar for a few cacao nibs I requested on my açaí bowl when the menu did not say anything about an extra fee. read more

Took the staff almost 30 mins just to serve drinks and grab a ginger shot from the fridge 15 feet away. Poor communication/logistics seems to be an issue here. Food was excellent and service rebounded once food was served. But I have a pet peeve of not at least being served drinks within 10 mins of sitting down.
